Very friendly staff and a quiet campground. The bathhouse has been very recently remodeled with a setup friendly to high traffic use yet extremely clean! We do not judge a campground based on the wifi as we use it so infrequently, however there are many wonderful breweries and wineries to keep us busy!

The staff was very helpful. We had vehicle problems, and they went above and beyond to help us get back on the road.

We stayed here 2 weekend nights. Check in was quick and efficient. I was surprised to learn the 3rd adult staying with us was an additional $20 fee. We were fortunate to have a big site that could accommodate 2 cars. The bathrooms/showers here were wonderful. Very clean, large rooms with hooks and a rack with shelves. We used the pool which was fine but needed to be repainted.

Check in was nice but that’s all this park has to offer. If planning a stay at this KOA please know it’s very run down. Deluxe sites over grown with weeds and trees. Location very bad for sight seeing events. Would not recommend very dissatisfied

This was a nice and quiet campground. It was well maintained and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi was the best of any campground I’ve ever stayed at.

Online reservation lack of transparency led me to believe only one campsite left, the premium $100 site. There were many open sites. Top dollar site did not have a grill.

Not the best, not the worst. Surprised this is classified as a Holiday location since they don’t provide food or have the other typical amenities that are associated with a Holiday. As a positive WIFI was extremely good and the campground was clean otherwise.

Small camp, spacious sites, privacy feel, relaxing forest vibe. Bathrooms very clean and fully functional in spite of dated first impression. Front office staff is top notch. Fantastic place to spend a camp evening after touring local sites. Ignore the reviews about “weeds”, I mean who cares?

Stayed in one of the cabins for a couple nights. It was a nice relaxing stop on a long motorcycle trip. I was able to visit Monticello and get some great pictures. Fairly convenient to stores for supplies, about 10 miles. Around the corner is a lazy day road which leads to some nice wineries. I will be back with my spouse to explore on the motorcycle a little more. Staff was great.

26’ TT, site 9 - nice outside pull through facing woods. Weekday, 3 nights, very quiet. Friendly staff, good location for Shenandoah NP & Blue Ridge Parkway. Strange location for pump out, big rig would block driveway. Access road from Rt 29 a narrow nightmare of hairpin turns with speeding morons over the centerline, enter from Rt 20 end of Red Hill Rd.

The entire campground lost power and no one came to tell us about what was going on. This went on for hours. We were on the last day of a 14 day road trip and this was the most expensive campground out of 10 places we stayed, and we had the worst service in terms of wifi, communication, and power. It was so humid and muggy we had to leave early. Wish they would have offered a discount.

Extremely nice but smaller campground. Pool was clean but paint looked unappealing. My only complaint is the firewood was pre-packaged kiln dried wood that burned well but because most of it was small and burned up very quickly. It was difficult to get an established base to cook on. Could not find firewood for sale nearby either.

Power went out, but not campgrounds fault. People working there were great. Only thing that was of issue was iron in water, but wasn't horrible, very good campground.

The campground is not being maintained. The worst part was the lack of a clean pool. The pool did not look like it had been cleaned all year. It was slimy and green and actually looked dangerous to even get into.

Tight campsites with little grass. Game room air hockey quit after 3 goals. Pin ball machine broken. Bounce pad was really dirty. Pool was in bad shape. It was a long way from the campground.

When we booked our stay for 6 people, website indicated site could hold 6, however in order to book we had to drop number to 4 not knowing that we would have to pay for 2 additional people since booking site did not say that. Once we got things figured out with KOA we now know how to handle more than 4 in future.

Staff was not very friendly at check in. Stayed in a deluxe cabin which had 2 older TV’s with no HDMI inputs and only given 1 remote with scotch tape to hold the batteries in it. Microwave was working intermittently, had to keep opening the door and shutting it again to make it work. I have been visiting your facility for years and it seems the place could use some updating considering the price

Very nice, clean, well maintained KOA. We stayed in a pull through where smaller trailers and cabs were, it was wooded with spectacular trees and quite private. There was an area that was very nice for bigger rigs. Dog yard was small but clean and nice. Bathrooms were very nice. Poison ivy all around so be careful.

This KOA is off the beaten path which was nice as it was quiet and remote. The folks that run it are a nice family. They are putting a lot of work into it with the addition of several new sites. Nothing fancy to speak of here, but was a great stay for seeing the Charlottesville area. The road in is two lane and a bit winding but our duelly and 39' fifth wheel made it just fine. Be advised there is bridge construction on a google route that is narrow and tight turn. The office advised us of how to avoid it. Happy trails.

We had a two day stay here in early April. The bathroom facilities were immaculately, clean, and private. My kids state that this was the best campground they've ever stayed at. The staff was extremely thorough and friendly. Prices at the general store were excellent. They also have a propane filling station, which is a nice plus. Would definitely recommend and give five stars. PS. There is an awesome nature, hike and pet trail.
