This park is small and quiet. It is very well maintained, and the staff were extremely accommodating. We had a medical emergency and were arriving much later than planned. Instead of simply placing our site information on the door, the registration person waited to ensure we had everything we needed and got to our site safely and easily.

We've camped here several times over the years and have always enjoyed our stay. The campground is very clean and is broken up into different, smaller areas, which creates a greater sense of privacy. The bathrooms are some of the best in the business. And, it's very close to wineries, breweries, a distillery, and singletrack mountain biking. We'll be back.

We have stayed in a lot of KOA's (from Wyoming to NC) and this is one of the nicest, if you like quiet camping. Plenty of shady sites and most have a reasonable buffer to the next site. Very close to Charlottesville but in a woodsy area just a few miles south of town (20 minutes to downtown). Large pool. We stayed two weekends. Our fellow campers were well-behaved.

We loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer! The cabin was fantastic, the kids loved the pool, the staff was great. If we lived closer, we'd love to come back and tent camp, the spots looked great.

Very friendly staff sites are very clean serve free waffle breakfast or you can buy sandwiches. Sell pizza and chicken wing . It was a great stay.

Clean and lovely bathhouse. Good internet. Very nice pool. Great level site. Appreciated the phone call about avoiding the bridge during construction. You are on our route to New York. We will be back!

The staff was excellent! Two phone calls prior to arrival to ensure we were aware of bridge closures. The grounds were very clean, bathroom and showers were excellent. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable!

Great location and nice, quiet setting. We got frequent reminders about the nearby bridge repair and the available detour, which was greatly appreciated. The restrooms/showers were spotless clean, and the wi-fi was great, which is important to us working travelers!

We always stay at the KOA holidays. This one rated as a journey KOA. The nature trail wasn’t kept up, the park itself wasn’t trimmed or neat. It’s the little things that make a holiday work. The dryers were way to expensive, wasn’t appealing. Did sleep great, very peaceful. Just disappointed in appearance.

Very quiet location Loved it. No golf carts going crazy through park=Great. Pool was dirty in deep end with dirt settling on the bottom. Needs to be vacuumed more & game room wasn’t really inviting. Also this is the 1st KOA that didn’t come around to grab your trash at your site=Minor things. We will come back. Staff very helpful & Nice

This KOA does not disappoint! The lots are large enough that you are not on top of your neighbor and there is plenty of shade! Great place to stay again and again!

Not enough signs showing where pool was located. The bathrooms were absolutely wonderful. Loved having a whole bathroom to myself.

we had a great site. the KOA Charlottsville is centrally located to all the activities we did. the bathhouse is kept up.

Fabulous - wish we could have stayed longer! Felt like I was back at summer camp from my youth. Definitely feel and appreciate the longevity of this campground.

This Koa is not a holiday. Needs to be cleaned up. A lot of things need to be fixed. There's all kinds of vines in the fence around the swimming pool. There's a lot of small trees that can be taken out and cleaned up. The sewer connection where we were and I believe it was site-27 is uphill so virtually impossible drain your RV. All the sights need some care.

A great little campground in Virginia! Was actually surprised it wasn’t more crowded than it actually was due to its location. Great staff, great day! We will be back!

Researched this KOA once we got there and saw how unique and wonderful the pool was along with the new and fabulous bathrooms! 2nd oldest KOA East of the Mississippi. Great pull thru spaces, private and friendly. Easy commute to Richmond area and wineries.

Pool needs some attention. An option to rent dishes and cutlery would be helpful. Other than that, we had a great stay! The cabin was great. Thank you.

Not much to do at the KOA itself. Probably lots to do in the area but bridge construction forced us to take a narrow, windy drive to get to the KOA so we didn’t bother to explore for the one night we were there. May consider in future to try again once they get the route up there sorted out.

Nothing to do! We stayed July 4 and nothing! If you can’t afford fireworks atleast a bonfire or something! The camp is so old and outdated. No upkeep! The dog yard was overgrown with poison ivy, no bags for poop and no trash can to put poop bags in. Only trash can I could find in whole park was at the front, a dumpster. Pool needs help! Disgusting! Bathhouse was amazing!

Small, densely wooded campground that is close to everything. Unique site layout adds privacy with most of the sites being large to very large for this size of campground. Well maintained and very clean. All the usual amenities with a nature trail that winds around the outside. Don't wait to make your reservation as the campground was always full during our four days. On a very windy road so drive slow. Enjoy !

Smallish size, no frills KOA, but really nice rural location, facilities and amenities. Staff was wonderful as was their gift shop. Bathrooms and showers have just been redone and they are super nice. Kids area looked basic but nice. Clean and nice for a std level KOA. Not some kids playland, but a KOA back in the trees and wilderness. For us that's what we're looking for.
