The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the gravel on the road way created dust and a staff member was blowing dust off the paved section creating a lot of dust. The restroom nearest the entrance had a urinal missing and a toiled out of order. It is a challenge to make a left turn onto Rt 460 when leaving the campground. There is an Exxon and a Piblix adjacent to the campground.

We were traveling through and stayed for just one night so we appreciated how close to the highway this KOA is. It was also close to a grocery store, gas station and food truck. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The sites are not huge but were level and were fine for our one night stay.

Great location with Publix and restaurant within walking distance. Employees were the friendliest people! Large pull thru sites Drawback… very dusty. Wish they would pave more sites and streets instead of gravel.

The cabin was very cute, the beds were comfortable, and it was clean. We had an issue with the air conditioner not working on the second day and the cabin was really warm. We're grateful they were able to fix it, but we had to turn it off in the middle of the night as it was so loud right above our heads, we couldn't sleep.

This is a usual stop for our travels to and from Florida. Easy access, and a friendly crew, but my favorite is walking over to the food truck for dinner. Always delicious.

small and tight spaces. Roads in complete disrepair. Not big rig friendly. Entrance and exit to campground very busy. Very helpful and friendly.

Our only reason for the 5 star review is due to the camper’s host Anita and JR. They went out of their way to accommodate us and make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Thanks to both of you! As far as the campground….it really needs much work especially the dirty dusty roads! It is the closest and only campground near the South Park Mall and Belk’s flagship store. Happy Wife Happy Life!

We chose the Charlotte/Fort Mill KOA because of its proximity to our family in Charlotte. We stay at KOA’s often and this one lived up to our expectations based on other locations. Clean, well maintained, pleasant staff and convenient to access major highway (I-77 in this case) while feeling like being in a rural setting. Kamp K-9 was one of the best we’ve encountered!

It is close to family and very convenient. Publix next door, food truck, and a place to relax and meet new friends. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Large laundry and garbage pick up. We will be back over the summer to try out the pool.

I brought 35 high school students on a 4-day trip to Charlotte, the staff at this campground were excellent. We rented multiple cabins. They did everything they could to make us feel welcome and met all of our needs......we'll be back.

The bathrooms are beautiful and spotless. The site was far from level and because we were only staying one night we didn’t want to detach. I was assured they are working on improving this. We were charged a “walk in” high rate when we actually had booked earlier in the day. After complaining I was very pleased that they refunded the overpayment amount. Staff was friendly, professional and told us about things in area. They were wonderful. The place was spotless clean, I did laundry it was open 24 hrs which was really helpful. It’s located great close to exit and a Publix within walking distance. Definitely will come again. Thank you. Also there is a pub you can walk to with food, drink and lovely atmosphere.

We checked in after hours and everything was set up for us. It could not have been easier. We were on our way home from Florida and needed a place to stop. We were very happy with our stay.

The people were friendly. The premium sites were excellent. They had a pad for the motorhome and an interlocking paver pad with a fire pit, Adirondack chairs, and a dining table with swivel chairs. The bathrooms were by far the cleanest we have ever seen at a campground. The laundry room was bright and spotless. People were constantly walking around with their pets. It was a great place to stay.

I was over charged. The laundry room smelt like a dead animal was in there. Literally was a cabin on concrete…. No fire pit. No atmosphere! Was actually disappointed. Positive note the lady at the front desk was very nice and bathrooms were clean.

Daniella at the front desk is a ROCK STAR. Well spoken. Understanding. Informative. A real human that is just a good person. I'd steal her as an employee if I was near, haha. Stayed in the cabins and they were fine. Seemed like the sites had new roadway rocks filled and was cleaned up and more orderly from previous visits 2024/2025
