The campground, cabin, and bathrooms were VERY CLEAN and cozy! We appreciated the amenities of the playground, mini golf, etc. the pool was not open yet for the season but I bet it is great! I also appreciate them removing fire pits and taking the burn ban seriously to prevent wildfires. I also appreciate how affordable it was. I would definitely stay here again and tell others.

They have all that you need. Only issue was that our site had quite a down grade and had to be creative to run the septic line to drain.

We stayed here to visit with our son who lives near by. The campground was clean, close to parks and other attractions. Good site. Clean restrooms. Large laundry facilities.

We booked the KOA Charlotte/Fort Mill as a stopover to see the Thomas Dambo Troll (Big Pete) in Charlotte, NC. It was perfect for our needs, the troll visit was exactly what we wanted and the bonus was that the KOA had accommodations in that we got a pull through site, they had a food truck on site and we could walk to a local Publix for groceries. It was so convenient off the highway!

It was another wonderful stay at the this location. We are always treated well and the sites are always level. Even the gravel sites are level. Great place to eat right outside the camp site. We will be back to stay for an extended period

Friendly staff, sites are large. Utilities work as they should. Campground is conveniently close to the highway, many restaurants and service stations. Our 3 day stay was most enjoyable.

The site I was given #26 was really rough, gravel and far from level. The worst of the site was when I was leaving I would have to drive through another site to exit the park. If the spot was rented I was land locked. Couldn’t go forward nor backwards. Fortunately, the site did not get rented and I was able to leave early in the morning. That particular pull through should never be rented for $7

Thank you. I guess the only small complaint is that the wifi did not work well. It was pretty quiet though. Just a pit stop on our journey

Pros: Convenient to Publix, Carowinds, fuel. Relatively quiet except the jets. Cons: entrance to campground is a bit confusing. Trying to leave to head back towards the interstate is a nightmare (turn left across 4 lanes with no signal light) especially if you leave during morning traffic. The work around is to drive through Publix's parking lot and exit at their light.

Uneven and unpaved roads. Not a neat and tidy place. Neads updating. Over priced for the experience.

This is our second and last time staying at this KOA. It is difficult to get in. Heavy traffic and nearly impossible to get out and on the highway. The gentleman who parked us said it is mostly work camper and overnighters. We did not have a pleasant experience.

Liked the stay! Very nice campground with many amenities. The road inside the campground needs some work but it looks like the campground is working on that issue. The staff was amazing. They were extremely helpful during my stay as I had some vehicle issues. One of the employees took me to pick up a rental car in his personal vehicle. That’s customer service.

It was an amazing stay. Anita and J. R.!were outstanding host. They were courteous and very helpful. J.R. Led us to our site and helped us back in. It made getting settle so much easier. There is a great little food truck business right outside the campsite. Food was excellent. As a result of this stay we just joined the rewards program and will be back here next week on our way back through.

All our needs were met for our stay. Location was convenient with a gas station and grocery store next door. Showers were clean and modern.

It's not everyone's cup of tea, but we love it. It's close off I-77 so it's a perfect pit stop after a day on the road. There's a pool and playground for the kids, dog park for the canines in the family. You can order food from the permanent food truck kitchen and relax in the bar with your dinner. There's a fuel station for your vehicle and the laundry is awesome clean with plenty of machines.

Location was convenient for an overnight stop. Was quite expensive - $94 a night with the KOA discount. Pull through was not level and muddy with sites on top of one another.

The shower I used in the women’s bathroom was not draining and I ended up standing in water while I was showering. Also, they charged me almost double because it was Easter weekend. They were not filled up, just taking an opportunity to gouge people.

Large site. At the office, she found out we were having an electrical issue and had someone check on us, which he did several times and offered help. Love the proximity to Publix, to which I walked several times.

Very nice campground, very clean and very nice staff. Close to the local grocery store. Only about 15 minutes from McDowell Nature Preserve. Had a great time.

The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the gravel on the road way created dust and a staff member was blowing dust off the paved section creating a lot of dust. The restroom nearest the entrance had a urinal missing and a toiled out of order. It is a challenge to make a left turn onto Rt 460 when leaving the campground. There is an Exxon and a Piblix adjacent to the campground.

We were traveling through and stayed for just one night so we appreciated how close to the highway this KOA is. It was also close to a grocery store, gas station and food truck. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The sites are not huge but were level and were fine for our one night stay.

Great location with Publix and restaurant within walking distance. Employees were the friendliest people! Large pull thru sites Drawback… very dusty. Wish they would pave more sites and streets instead of gravel.

Daniella at the front desk is a ROCK STAR. Well spoken. Understanding. Informative. A real human that is just a good person. I'd steal her as an employee if I was near, haha. Stayed in the cabins and they were fine. Seemed like the sites had new roadway rocks filled and was cleaned up and more orderly from previous visits 2024/2025
