Had to stop to get work done on our RV. This is a very well kept KOA. Bathrooms were very clean. Convenient location, walk to Publix or a restaurant. 2 miles to lots of shopping.

Friendly staff. Easy in pull thru site. Very difficult to exit site. WiFi was not working. Location in commercial district gave us good cell service.

This campground is located close to Charlotte N.C. Close to I-77 for easy access, the sites are mostly unlevel gravel and the site we had with concrete parking pad 2 inches of lift was needed to be level. This is a good place for a short stay while traveling. With some site leveling and interior access road work I would give a 4.

This KOA was convenient, right in the middle of Charlotte NC. Everything was nearby. Noisy since it’s right off a busy highway and road. We stayed for 2 nights which was good enough. My site was gravel and pretty level. The campground was clean but I didn’t see or use the bathroom, so no comments there.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Given the full price that we paid we would have expected to have Wi-Fi. Also. It would have been nice if you sold soap pods for the laundry. I was happy that the price for propane was reasonable.

Clean, nice people. Sites too small, right on top of each other. Traffic flow pattern very difficult to navigate with a large rig. Tight turns getting in and out. Urban location on a very busy street. Not peaceful, but if you need to be in Charlotte for a night, it might work for you.

All was great except they had an issue with Wi-Fi and there was none during our stay. Not helpful if you are working on the road!

Loved it. Just wish there had been a little more light at night on dog park. However it was a really nice dog area. Employees were very nice and helpful.

It was fine for an overnight stop. The fact that there was no Wi-Fi was completely unacceptable. We should’ve received a discount on our stay.

Advertised internet. None Never told you have to pay for dump station. Never told dump station doesn’t open until office opens 10am

This place needs a lot of work, from the staff to the grounds. In my humble opinion it should not be a KOA.

I was pleasantly surprised that the pool was opened after Labor Day! The bathrooms and showers were spread throughout the property and very clean. Highly recommend staying here.

Very nice, clean and friendly campground! We used it for an overnight stop heading south. We were ready to get out of the traffic and Fort Mill KOA was a welcomed relief! John's Place and the Food truck at the entrance plus Publix to walk to and not move the vehicle was perfect! Beautiful trees and surprisingly quiet overnight! Will definitely will stay again!

Because of an hour delay in traffic in Charlotte, we were arriving at the office closing time. Before my wife could sign the receipt, they closed the door so she had to put it in the outdoor box. I dislike turning left to get back onto route 460; get back to I-77. Both times we've had to go through Publix parking lot to try to get to a red light in the mornings.

Even though we arrived late, our site was ready and we had no issues settling up at the office the next day. Of the 3 KOA's we stayed at on this trip, the restrooms, showers, and laundry were the best. The site we had was very roomy, everyone was very friendly, and we will not hesitate to stay again next time we are in the Charlotte area or just passing through.

The front office staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We asked if there were any shady RV sites and they upgraded us at no extra charge to fill hookup. We needed shade in order to repair the ai conditioner located on the roof. With temps in the mid 90’s this was a life saver. So thankful for this KOA, we appreciate all that you all do to make our stays enjoyable and memorable!

It was clean but could use to invest some money and improve it we go to KOA for nice parks again was clean and people were nice but to pay $100 for an unlevel gravel pull thru is too much ….. especially after Labor Day

We loved our stay at Fort Mill. However the no internet services was really a bomber! I had to loose 5 of my classes that I am taking on line. The bathhouse and laundry room were the best in all KOAs I have been and the office the smallest. Although, shower basin needed a little care. Unlucky for us the smoke alarm, the air condition and the pool all had to brake while we were there. Luis Dias

Facilities were good. The disappointment was we stayed in a water and electric only site, then when we went to check out they wanted us to pay $20 to use their dump station. I was there for a one night stay had I known that they would charge me $20 to dump after my stay would have paid the extra $30 to stay in a “premium” site.

We stayed here for 3 nights…second time for us…close enough to Charlotte, but far enough away too. Food Truck and Publix right there, which is very convenient…staff was great.

I stayed at this KOA on the way to South Carolina from Ohio. It's right off I-77. The staff was great at check in. The cabin I had was clean, pine paneled, full bathroom, kitchen area, comfortable beds. The property was clean. The team member there that helped me to my cabin after check in, Carrington (sp), was fantastic. He made sure I had everything I needed. Highly recommend.

On the positive, close to the highway. Easy on and off. Publix is walking distance for easy restocking our RV. The staff is friendly and the restrooms are very clean We stayed here on our way up north in early August. We were told they were having issues with the WIFi, and there was none. no biggie, things happen. Our latest visit a month later, still no WIFi. Calls to the office were not retu.

I think I paid a premium price for a gravel site was somewhat level but dusty. No need for codes to washrooms because locks were broken however restrooms were clean.

Daniella at the front desk is a ROCK STAR. Well spoken. Understanding. Informative. A real human that is just a good person. I'd steal her as an employee if I was near, haha. Stayed in the cabins and they were fine. Seemed like the sites had new roadway rocks filled and was cleaned up and more orderly from previous visits 2024/2025
