Staff was attentive and helpful. The pool was nice, our site was big enough & pretty level, no trouble reaching the utilities. With luck we will have the chance to stay there again.

Most of the staff was NOT friendly and welcoming. There was only two members that greeted us with a smile during our stay. Location was awful. Behind a trailer park. I felt very uneasy at nights having to go to the restroom. Then, we were given a site location right by the dumpster and dog park. So the smell was just not good. No fire ring, no grill. Awful, just awful. Nothing to do besides pool.

It’s a nightmare to get out on the main road with traffic , the trailer park you have to pass has cats that poop all over the place and walk on your vehicle . I was almost hit by a driver coming out of the trailer park nearly everyday . Our cable never worked good enough to watch tv . The picture was so blurry you couldn’t read words on the screen . Our aote flooded everytime it rained .

Smaller spots adjacent to a trailer park. Not a destination by any means. If you are in Summerville and the location is important to you then this is conveniently located to use like a hotel

The sites as fine. Laundry facilities could use some updating. Bad thing was location, having to turn out of a busy 4 lane highway Everytime you wanted to leave

The grass was so high we could not display our American flags on Memorial Day. We could not use our lawn chairs because our site was full of fire ants. This campground is in desperate need of lawn maintenance.

We had a wonderful stay at the KOA Charleston. My only advice/ concern were the wandering cats and the constant ants. Internet and services were great!

The staff is very nice and helpful. The sites are a little tight in some areas but not horrible. We liked the dog walk area. If you are looking for an extremely quiet campground this is for you.

Very nice facility and friendly management. Only improvement I could suggest would be to add some furniture to the club house which had only a pool table, and really no place to sit. (Maybe the club house was closed. Not sure. In which case, properly furnish it and make it available for use.

The campground met our needs so we could visit family in the area. It was clean and well maintained. We didn’t use the pool or other amenities as we were always out and about during the day.

We stayed on a corner site. Full hook up with patio. It had a nice gas grill, fire pit and patio furniture!! The pool was very nice ! Staff and people were friendly! Would definitely go back ! No problems at all !

Kids from nearby mobile home park kept coming in the park and making it uncomfortable for other kids that belonged there. These kids bullied the kids that belonged there.

De douches zijn heel vies. De schimmel zit op de muren. Veel douches kunnen niet op slot. Het lijkt wel of ze nooit schoongemaakt worden. Dit is een hele dure camping. Ze moeten zich schamen!!!!

The KOA is very basic but nice. They keep it up and very clean and the staff was pleasant. Unfortunately the city has expanded around it. So that brings security lights at night along with highway noise.

We only stayed one night. Nice and quiet. Lots good. Making the turn to get out was tight. There are trees along the entry and exit lanes to the campground which have trees leaning into the lanes that can scratch your camper. These should be cut. If a scratch were found, someone could ask for compensation.

We was on C2 ,my husband said he had NEVER stayed on a lot that level, had to do nothing. Grounds well maintain, staff helpful(gave directions to restaurant),and friendly. We had read the "bad," reviews and was a little concerned. Nothing, was wrong there, pool looked well cleaned,did not use. Bathroom was very cleaned. When in area, we will be back !

Sewer cap came off when we tried to hook up the line We ended up putting a cement block on top to keep it in place It was already there so I wonder if the last camper did the same thing We told the office but no one came to fix it

Sites are small, no fire ring, crowded. Outside non KOA guests using facilities. Police with lights on and driving thru campground and trailer park nightly. Staff at reception unfriendly, but accommodated our change of site. Intimidated by a male at gate exit, wearing a t shirt that said “ At your service and protection”. He was barefoot, carrying a handgun. Not what we expected for a KO

Stayed an extra night due to weather. Barroom were clean. Hardly any water pressure in the shower, water in the campsite was off for most of the day on the first day. For the price I expected a little more than.

We had a great Memorial Day stay! The pool was fantastic..lots of room and loved the hammocks. The staff was very friendly and responded immediately to any request we had. It was an easy drive to downtown Charleston and Mt Pleasant. It did rain and there was some pooling of water around some of our campers, but it drained quickly...after all it is called the "low country". Would definitely stay again. Update: we just stayed again for the 6th year in a row. They have stepped up their game with a few new additions around the campground and a dedicated maintenance crew that is on top of it. Highly recommend.

We enjoy our time at KOAs, however everything about this one was "off" in so many little ways which is not typical of the KOA brand. First it started with bad set of Google map directions in the welcome email which sent us 10 miles to a private residence. If you Google "Charleston KOA" for directions, it sends you to the correct location. Secondly, the tent site A10 is a parking logistics nightmare because of the close proximity of a metal grill, tree, shrub, dog waste container, and large RVs in the row across from our site. If a vehicle was in A11, our car doors would have hit each other due to the 2 feet difference in our adjacent gravel parking pads. An 8 foot fence does a good job of blocking out the ridiculously bright gas station floodlights. But the fence does not block the frequent emergency vehicle sirens from the highway (I've never heard so many sirens at night!) The bathrooms literally sparkles and are squeaky clean, however, do not hope for water pressure and hair shampooing in these showers (you'll want the phone # to their cleaning lady because she does such a great job!) Everyone is super friendly here and the curbside trash pickup was very nice amenity. The grounds are neat and tidy, water and electric at each site was convenient.
