My family visited the Charleston KOA and we had an amazing time. We plan a big family trip every two years and this year we all traveled here. There were approximately 30 of us and included 4 generations. The staff was amazing and the city was absolutely lovely. I will definitely return again.

Very nice. Had multiple doctor visits across the highway and staff was over the top nice allowing a late departure Thursday. Everything we saw was very nice and well maintained. A Lot cheaper than a hotel in the neighborhood.

Sites are small. Walking around the picnic table put you in danger of stepping on the neighbors sewer hose. The dog park was in an abandoned lot next to the park, we didn’t feel safe. Stray cats everywhere and internet issues. Staff was friendly though.

I appreciated the managers attention to my reservation for a pull thru -- and although officially my assigned site fit that description, she did move me to one that was the traditional straight thru, rather than the circular pull thru I was given.

Everyone here has very very helpful and kind. It seems as though I have some kind of calamity each time I camp here. Last time, I looked over the sink and saw a pool of water, My hose end had come apart at the water faucet. I bought a new hose, and they gave me a pressure piece to put on the faucet next time I camp,

The entrance is shared with a run down trailer park. They hold some kind of huge get together every night. There are tons of cars and people milling around and parked at the entrance. It appears to be a religious meeting of some kind. They aren’t loud, but it is an unusual situation that some folks might find different from most campground’s. Another camper had an e-bike stolen.

Site was GORGEOUS however - big HOWEVER the people at the trailer park were blasting music and had barking dogs ehich spoiled our stay and were not able to use the beautiful patio we paid for. Also WAY too many cats the people across frim us were feeding at least 5 cats which constantly ran into our site and annoyed our dog...again forcing us to stay inside.

We were here to go to MUSC. We usually stay at the other Koa but this one is less expensive and we will be back. The mosquitos were bad but that’s not your fault. We loved our secluded site all the way in the back.

I think the park may have been decent at one time but not now. You enter on the drive theu an undesirable trailer park, no security gate and very narrow lots. Worst of all the.put us next to a very.old class A in terrible dilapidated shape. Junk all around the rv, junk utility trailer, compartment doors can't close and tarps hanging in the.doorway. Homeless and trailer park people around.

Stayed for a weekend. Great proximity to Charleston and local areas. Clean campground. It could use some updating. You can tell it has not been updated compared to some of the other KOA Holiday locations. The surrounding area also does not seem the best.

This place is perfect for me but may not perfect for everyone. Staff and grounds are wonderful! Plenty of space to maneuver my 45 ft 5th wheel. Little loud at night due to busy roads nearby and perhaps a fire station/EMS station???? But honestly campers are thin so you need a noisemaker no matter where you are for quiet. We will return to KOA Charleston next trip

The campground was very dark. No lighting in the campground. The campsites were not level at all and very muddy. I had to call the office once a week to get my grass cut. I paid $1850 a month for 7 months and you would think for that price it would have been a much nicer campground. Terrible location, laundry service was horrible because they let the neighborhood next door use the laundry room.

Awesome spot ! Wonderful staff and one employee In maintenance was so helpful & busy all the time. Caucasian about 55 male. Lives in monks corner. Was always so helpful when asked questions. Also young Caucasian male about 25 was very friendly and loved his job enough on sat evening of our stay he stayed behind and shared with us information we needed.

Tent spaces are too small, businesses right behind the fence where the tent lots are, they have very bright lights shining right on your tent. Traffic noise to loud. You have to go through a pretty run down trailer park to get to the campground.

Enjoyed 2 week stay in spite of tropical storm Debby. Clean restrooms and grounds and personable staff. Nice location to restaurants, gas stations and markets. Convenient access to major highways.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Pool was GREAT. Only wish it could stay open later while it is still daylight. Campsite was in BAD need of raking. So much debris from trees, it was clear that it had not been raked in months. Wonder why with all the available rv sites, that we were put so far back, even near a hole that was marked with caution tape! Could have been better.

Have stayed here multiple times. Always very nice stays. This time we had a problem with ants at camp site and mosquitos. Other than that all good.

Grounds are unkempt. Debris, grass not mowed, overgrown, sites dirty. Cats everywhere. Needs improvements. Not a welcoming entrance and staff not so friendly.

I have had the pleasure of staying at this location before and have always found it a great place. The staff is very friendly and the amenities are great. My grandkids came this time and were really impressed with the playground and pool. I already am planning my next trip.

The ladies that checked us in were phenomenal. Somehow our reservations got canceled so they had no idea we were coming. They were able to fit us in without a problem. Amazing!!! Kudos to those two fantastic women.

We had a great Memorial Day stay! The pool was fantastic..lots of room and loved the hammocks. The staff was very friendly and responded immediately to any request we had. It was an easy drive to downtown Charleston and Mt Pleasant. It did rain and there was some pooling of water around some of our campers, but it drained quickly...after all it is called the "low country". Would definitely stay again. Update: we just stayed again for the 6th year in a row. They have stepped up their game with a few new additions around the campground and a dedicated maintenance crew that is on top of it. Highly recommend.

We enjoy our time at KOAs, however everything about this one was "off" in so many little ways which is not typical of the KOA brand. First it started with bad set of Google map directions in the welcome email which sent us 10 miles to a private residence. If you Google "Charleston KOA" for directions, it sends you to the correct location. Secondly, the tent site A10 is a parking logistics nightmare because of the close proximity of a metal grill, tree, shrub, dog waste container, and large RVs in the row across from our site. If a vehicle was in A11, our car doors would have hit each other due to the 2 feet difference in our adjacent gravel parking pads. An 8 foot fence does a good job of blocking out the ridiculously bright gas station floodlights. But the fence does not block the frequent emergency vehicle sirens from the highway (I've never heard so many sirens at night!) The bathrooms literally sparkles and are squeaky clean, however, do not hope for water pressure and hair shampooing in these showers (you'll want the phone # to their cleaning lady because she does such a great job!) Everyone is super friendly here and the curbside trash pickup was very nice amenity. The grounds are neat and tidy, water and electric at each site was convenient.
