Our stay was good i would've given 5 stars but for the run down trashy trailer park next door. It was a big eye sore and very run down. Lots of street noise and fireworks til wee hours in the morning on several nights. But we did like the koa in general and it was convient for our purpose of being in Charleston which was to visit friends that lived very close to the park. We will stay again.

The campground isn't terrible but here is where I think some opportunities are. Do something about all the feral cats, address what appears to be run down campers of long term guest, spruce up the entrance; pulling in and being greeted by a trailer park that is not well kept doesn't give you the warm and fuzzies. The game room could use an update. The staff was very nice and friendly!

AWFULW!ll NEVER stay at a KOA again!! This particular KOA is NOT a dog friendly campground!!! Multiple cats that climb all over your property!! NO security measures in place. NO safety lighting throughout the park!! Fireworks from the adjoining trailer park from early evening until they run out!! Residents from adjoining trailer park shop in the KOA store!! Staff will tape messages on your door

Great campsite. Def recommend. Staff was nice and friendly. Had a late night check in and they left my site information on the door. They also drew how to get to the site, which was very helpful at night.

We had a pull thru for our 30ft motorhome and it was a easy in & out our stay was nice, showers clean and a dog park that closes from dark to dusk I found while walking our dog the area down by us could use more light I took a flashlight. We did have a camper next to us that didn’t seem to care about disturbing his neighbors by slamming his doors. We would stay again.

Two issues, one minor one major: informed the staff of the lack of dog waste bags at the dog park--remained lacking throughout our stay. Despite specific instructions about a freeze warning and keeping a small drip running overnight, instead,with no warning, the water was simply turned off even as the temperature was rising in the morning. Unnecessarily bad experience.

I am sorry to hear you had an unpleasant stay. We did not shut the water off during the dates of your stay. Even with dripping pipes may freeze if not everyone in your row heeds the warning.

We stayed for 14 nights as we waited to close on our new home in Summerville. Mostly quiet and low key…perfect for us. Some traffic noise, but not too bad. Would stay again for sure.

We had a really wonderful time staying at the campground and visiting with family. Our oldest daughter got engaged while we were staying there. Something to always remember!!

The park was clean. However the sites are very tight. We didn’t care to be so close to the next site’s sewer connection, and I would imagine that they didn’t care for our park table to be so close to their RV windows either. Next time we are in the area I think we’ll look into a different park.

When you first pull in you have to go past a mobile home park that pretty nasty. There is a fence between the KOA & the mobile home park but there was a lot of stray cats that came into the KOA.

Cats everywhere, cat excrement, which my do and I both stepped in, Cat prints on my car roof and hood. No trees on our lot like you website says. Stayed over 2 weeks and received one of the worst sites available. Broken Sewage pipe. Surrounded on 2 sides with permanent residents that feed the cats. Should have been asked if we were OK with the feral cats.

The location is sketchy. There were migrant workers living in the campground. It’s right next to a rundown trailer park. The cable didn’t work four three days of the four we were there. Stray cats were everywhere.

Unfortunately we did have a break in the cable line that took some time to locate and fix. Staff would have been happy to help with any other concerns you had with your staff. We can only fix what is brought to our attention.

Staff was very friendly and polite but the campsites are to small. Our picnic table at beside our neighbor's sewer hose. There was no fire ring on our site and the one behind us was so close that if those neighbor's had used it the heat might have damaged our rv.

Nice place except for the dozen or so cats running around loose. Traffic in the area is horrible, no fault of the campground, just a warning.

The site we were assigned was muddy and pooled water when it rained. The site needed more gravel, so we didn't need to walk through mud. In addition, the sewer hookup is almost 12 inches above the ground which makes it almost impossible to drain the tanks. We had to move to a different site to be able to dump the tanks. This is a very poor setup. This being a Holiday location surprised me.

We were camping and placed back at the end of the loop with a long walk to the bathroom. The road noise was very loud, police were in and out, the campground is right next to a mobile home park an there was a lot of sketchy activity and people going on. On the plus side, the bathrooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The stay was not restful and we will not return to that campground.

Very helpful and considerate staff. Was only staying one night, so was put in space that was easy in and out.

Update 7/7/2026 This KOA has improved since 5 years ago. Cleaned up, a little more gravel (could used more to cover the mud). Salt water pool. Lawn is looking good and well kept. There are a lot of permanent residents but they are in the back. No accumulated junk very nicely kept. Full hookups WiFi spotty. Pricy at $73 a night. 5 years ago: Best KOA we have stayed in so far. They received an extra star just for the staff. They were very helpful accommodating and responsive to concerns. Most sites are pretty close together but for KOA they are above average. Campground is well kept we had 50amp water sewer and cable. They have a swimming pool and garbage service at your rig. Enough room to maneuver big rigs. Pricey at a little over $70 a night with 10% discount. I'm not sure how that compares for the area.

Stayed here for 5 days. Beautiful campsites, friendly neighbors. Washer and dryer are workable. Friendly staff in camp store. Free coffee every morning. Pool was warm. Patio site was leveled.

We had a great Memorial Day stay! The pool was fantastic..lots of room and loved the hammocks. The staff was very friendly and responded immediately to any request we had. It was an easy drive to downtown Charleston and Mt Pleasant. It did rain and there was some pooling of water around some of our campers, but it drained quickly...after all it is called the "low country". Would definitely stay again. Update: we just stayed again for the 6th year in a row. They have stepped up their game with a few new additions around the campground and a dedicated maintenance crew that is on top of it. Highly recommend.
