Loved our site it was clean and yard was mowed and very nice grass area. It was quiet our 2 days there , except the 4th which was expected, loved the fireworks that we could see from our site. The staff are very friendly. The area has a lot to offer and we definitely will return . Yes cats do roam the campground, but they never bothered us.

Enjoyed the stay. The only thing that I didnt like was being put in a site with no cement. After 11 days, everything was covered in a sandy coating. The site was pretty just needs paved. I noticed other sites that were open the entire time that were paved. Thanks!

Stayed 5 nights the first trip down to FL & one night coming back north. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful campground. Bath houses were clean & always working.

A few positives: Nice shady site, clean bathrooms/showers. Office coffee was tasty. Polite and friendly staff. A few negatives: our site was very close to RT. 78 so there was a lot of car, truck and motorcycle noise. The sewer connection at our site was too far away. We had to move the camper sideways to get close enough to dump our waste tanks. Not convenient.

sites are very small and packed, so there’s no privacy, but front desk ppl are nice and friendly. Checked in the middle of the day, there was no one except for the front desk. We left for a bit, and came back around 10, again there was nobody so I did not feel safe. Neighbor is residential area and crowded.

Good service. Clean sites and restrooms. Changed reservation dates at last minute with no issue or push back. Camp store has the basics. Free coffee in the am. What's not to like?

We enjoyed our 3 days here. Everything was great!

Nice pool. Pull in was easy. Lots of food near by. Mowing should be done with expectation that each visitor daily deserves cut grass! Doggy yard was way too tall with grass and some bushes that need taken out with the poison ivy!!

My only gripe. The pool closed @8pm.

Quiet place to camp with a pool and clean bathhouse. The lots need to be maintained and grass needs to be cut.

We were in spot H5 which was infested with fire ants and I was stung 5 times on my foot and once on my hand. This was very painful. Perhaps more attention is needed to prevent this.

Very unkept. Weeds on our rv site. Fire ring bent and rusted sitting in weeds. Cats running all over the place so made it hard to walk my dogs without them wanting to chase the cats. Trashy campers with junk sitting outside of them

The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. The staff was friendly. The camp didn’t feel super secure. There’s no gate, and it’s in a sketchy neighborhood.

Great Staff!

The bathrooms, pool and grounds are very clean. The staff is wonderful. The camp sites are easy to get in and out. We’ll be back again.

This is a shady place to stay. With the trailer park next door and it is all Hispanics who kept coming into the campground, Using everything that is for the campers. Had police stay at the campsite on Friday and Saturday nights to protect us at the campground but the rest of the week we were on our own. We had been at several KOA's and this was the worst one. I did not feel safe.

Not as well kept as most KOA’s

Casual easy going laid back.i check out tomorrow but it has been nice. Nice staff, neighbors on both sides. I’m not a pool guy so no critique there. It was all together good. The 1 point deduction…trauma center down the street. I’m in medical field and I can’t help but to perk up when I hear ‘em’, coming or going. Just me but consider it a10. Thank y’all for a great few days. Bsafe

Park is a little bite on the tired side. With a lot of open sites we were place in between 2 full timers in a very narrow spot. We did get moved to a much better site. Do not like being so close to the trailer park next door.

Staff was attentive and helpful. The pool was nice, our site was big enough & pretty level, no trouble reaching the utilities. With luck we will have the chance to stay there again.

All employees were wonderful people!!! Great location! My only negative comment is that you could keep the grounds in better condition. We had weeds around our area and shrubbery beds are overgrown and unkept.

Great place to camp, very friendly staff. Campsite was level, all hookups were easy to get to. Enjoyed our stay, would stay here again.

Most of the staff was NOT friendly and welcoming. There was only two members that greeted us with a smile during our stay. Location was awful. Behind a trailer park. I felt very uneasy at nights having to go to the restroom. Then, we were given a site location right by the dumpster and dog park. So the smell was just not good. No fire ring, no grill. Awful, just awful. Nothing to do besides pool.

It’s a nightmare to get out on the main road with traffic , the trailer park you have to pass has cats that poop all over the place and walk on your vehicle . I was almost hit by a driver coming out of the trailer park nearly everyday . Our cable never worked good enough to watch tv . The picture was so blurry you couldn’t read words on the screen . Our aote flooded everytime it rained .

Very clean. Staff is very helpful and nice.

Smaller spots adjacent to a trailer park. Not a destination by any means. If you are in Summerville and the location is important to you then this is conveniently located to use like a hotel

Beautiful KOA.

Great park we’ll be back

The sites as fine. Laundry facilities could use some updating. Bad thing was location, having to turn out of a busy 4 lane highway Everytime you wanted to leave

Update 7/7/2026 This KOA has improved since 5 years ago. Cleaned up, a little more gravel (could used more to cover the mud). Salt water pool. Lawn is looking good and well kept. There are a lot of permanent residents but they are in the back. No accumulated junk very nicely kept. Full hookups WiFi spotty. Pricy at $73 a night. 5 years ago: Best KOA we have stayed in so far. They received an extra star just for the staff. They were very helpful accommodating and responsive to concerns. Most sites are pretty close together but for KOA they are above average. Campground is well kept we had 50amp water sewer and cable. They have a swimming pool and garbage service at your rig. Enough room to maneuver big rigs. Pricey at a little over $70 a night with 10% discount. I'm not sure how that compares for the area.

We had a great Memorial Day stay! The pool was fantastic..lots of room and loved the hammocks. The staff was very friendly and responded immediately to any request we had. It was an easy drive to downtown Charleston and Mt Pleasant. It did rain and there was some pooling of water around some of our campers, but it drained quickly...after all it is called the "low country". Would definitely stay again. Update: we just stayed again for the 6th year in a row. They have stepped up their game with a few new additions around the campground and a dedicated maintenance crew that is on top of it. Highly recommend.
