We stayed for 14 nights as we waited to close on our new home in Summerville. Mostly quiet and low key…perfect for us. Some traffic noise, but not too bad. Would stay again for sure.

We had a really wonderful time staying at the campground and visiting with family. Our oldest daughter got engaged while we were staying there. Something to always remember!!

The park was clean. However the sites are very tight. We didn’t care to be so close to the next site’s sewer connection, and I would imagine that they didn’t care for our park table to be so close to their RV windows either. Next time we are in the area I think we’ll look into a different park.

Visiting friends for Thanksgiving. Never went in bathrooms. Grounds were being cleaned up, a bit of garbage around. Hookups behind your campers in far back of sites.���

Good location to charleston. But the rv park next door is very run down. Lots of stray cats. Staff was friendly.

When you first pull in you have to go past a mobile home park that pretty nasty. There is a fence between the KOA & the mobile home park but there was a lot of stray cats that came into the KOA.

Cats everywhere, cat excrement, which my do and I both stepped in, Cat prints on my car roof and hood. No trees on our lot like you website says. Stayed over 2 weeks and received one of the worst sites available. Broken Sewage pipe. Surrounded on 2 sides with permanent residents that feed the cats. Should have been asked if we were OK with the feral cats.

The location is sketchy. There were migrant workers living in the campground. It’s right next to a rundown trailer park. The cable didn’t work four three days of the four we were there. Stray cats were everywhere.

Unfortunately we did have a break in the cable line that took some time to locate and fix. Staff would have been happy to help with any other concerns you had with your staff. We can only fix what is brought to our attention.

Staff was very friendly and polite but the campsites are to small. Our picnic table at beside our neighbor's sewer hose. There was no fire ring on our site and the one behind us was so close that if those neighbor's had used it the heat might have damaged our rv.

Fire rings are brought out upon request. Our staff would have been more than happy to help with any concerns with picnic tables or site size.

Nice place except for the dozen or so cats running around loose. Traffic in the area is horrible, no fault of the campground, just a warning.

The site we were assigned was muddy and pooled water when it rained. The site needed more gravel, so we didn't need to walk through mud. In addition, the sewer hookup is almost 12 inches above the ground which makes it almost impossible to drain the tanks. We had to move to a different site to be able to dump the tanks. This is a very poor setup. This being a Holiday location surprised me.

When it rains in the lowcountry it takes a bit of time for us to dry out. Our staff is always happy to find a more accommodating site for you.

We were camping and placed back at the end of the loop with a long walk to the bathroom. The road noise was very loud, police were in and out, the campground is right next to a mobile home park an there was a lot of sketchy activity and people going on. On the plus side, the bathrooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The stay was not restful and we will not return to that campground.

We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay. Staff would have been happy to find you a new site if you would have come to the office. Local police provide weekend security to make sure the noise ordinance is being followed.

My wife and I were traveling south to Florida as Hurricane Helene was making its way north from Florida. We made a last minute reservation at the Charleston KOA hoping to avoid the storm. We ran into rain as we drove from Gaffney to the the KOA, but made it fine. The camp office workers checked us in, and because we were staying just one night they changed our site to a paved pull-through.

This place was disgusting. One trailer had 8 cats living outside pooping everywhere. There were 2 trailers with 8 doors that looked like they were housing illegals. We slept with a loaded gun because we felt so unsafe. We were supposed to stay 4 nights but only stayed one. We did get a refund for the 3 nights.

I am sorry if you felt unsafe. If you would have to come to the office and discussed any issues you were having we would have gladly helped. With the fair in town we do have some workers stay with us which we NEVER have problems with.

I was visiting family in the area. I go every March and October, this was my third visit and everything was great.

It's a illegal migrant compound. The noise and mess made it impossible for us to stay. We paid and left. People should be warned about this it's not safe. I've never in my life felt so unsafe. Shut it down now. I would never expect this from KOA. I want a refund.

We are located near the fair grounds and during that time we have some of the workers stay with us. We NEVER have had any problems with them. If you had any issues with your stay you could have come to the office at anytime to discuss those.

We really enjoyed our stay. Very nice campground. Very friendly and professional office and grounds staff. We enjoyed the dog park. Everything was very clean. Nice office and amenities. Will definitely stay here again.

I was disappointed that this KOA was a Holiday. Every Holiday we’ve stayed at was nice and well kept. It’s got to be the smallest campground ever. Water was turned off a day. Employees not very friendly.

Unfortunately the water situation was out of our control and a city issue. Luckily we were made aware of it so we could give our guest a days notice to prepare as needed for the outage.

Coming in to the KOA there were overhanging palm trees scrape the RV's. The KOA is located directly beside a NASTY trailer park. There is no security gate.Upon check in they just pointed too where the site was with no golf cart escort to our site The camp ground has permanent campers, 2 of the worked for a tow truck company and came and went after quit time.Small sites.My last stay at this KOA!!

The stay was great. Clean and kept up nicely. Very close to all the historic sites in Charleston without have to be in crowded areas. Would definitely recommend it to others.

I counted no less then 9 feral cats hanging around the campground area adjacent to the mobile home park. A camper (likely permanent) keeps food and water for the cats. The cats had free roam of the entire campsite and used it as their litter box. My dogs enjoyed trying to eat all that cat scat. No fun. The rest of the site was clean and acceptable, but the cat issue ruined our stay.

The campground was nice the employees very friendly but ......more security would be NICE !! we did not have any problems but were told stealing had been happening when coming in to the KOA off the highway the mobile home park next door doesn't give a very good impression of either park : (

Thanks to a very understanding crew that assisted a very stressed camper. The maintenance staff ensured that all systems were working while my husband was in the hospital with a life threatening emergency operation A special shout out to Rich and Bill who got my sewage set up and took turns driving me to and from the hospital. They are both caring and wonderful workers who deserve the praise

Update 7/7/2026 This KOA has improved since 5 years ago. Cleaned up, a little more gravel (could used more to cover the mud). Salt water pool. Lawn is looking good and well kept. There are a lot of permanent residents but they are in the back. No accumulated junk very nicely kept. Full hookups WiFi spotty. Pricy at $73 a night. 5 years ago: Best KOA we have stayed in so far. They received an extra star just for the staff. They were very helpful accommodating and responsive to concerns. Most sites are pretty close together but for KOA they are above average. Campground is well kept we had 50amp water sewer and cable. They have a swimming pool and garbage service at your rig. Enough room to maneuver big rigs. Pricey at a little over $70 a night with 10% discount. I'm not sure how that compares for the area.

Stayed here for 5 days. Beautiful campsites, friendly neighbors. Washer and dryer are workable. Friendly staff in camp store. Free coffee every morning. Pool was warm. Patio site was leveled.

We had a great Memorial Day stay! The pool was fantastic..lots of room and loved the hammocks. The staff was very friendly and responded immediately to any request we had. It was an easy drive to downtown Charleston and Mt Pleasant. It did rain and there was some pooling of water around some of our campers, but it drained quickly...after all it is called the "low country". Would definitely stay again. Update: we just stayed again for the 6th year in a row. They have stepped up their game with a few new additions around the campground and a dedicated maintenance crew that is on top of it. Highly recommend.
