Wonderful experience looking forward to the next time we stay there.

Helpful staff. Adequate space at sites. Concrete pads at some sites. Not a large park but adequate room to maneuver a 40 ft motorhome. WiFi signal so-so.

We have stayed a KOA locations all across the country, this unfortunately was the worst one we have experienced. I appreciate that they are trying to make some upgrades but with the proximity to that not great mobile home park that is the first thing you see, it will be tough to over come. Also, they have people obviously living full time in a not neatly set up tent arrangement with loose dogs!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The facility is acceptable. Some of the trailers are dilapidated with junk piled up around them. Several cats running around. Definitely not acceptable for the KOA standards

We had very low water pressure during our stay. The sites on our row were quite narrow and close together. The pool was nice though.

The staff were helpful. The facilities are convenient and complete. The neighbors were quiet. There’s a nice pool and the location is pet friendly. It’s situated 15 miles from downtown, with a 15 minute trip if there’s no traffic jams on I 26.

Great comfortable stay. Great staff, facilities and pool.

Cellular service in the area was very poor. We stayed in D7. At our site at the campground internet just for email, fb was terrible. Laundry facility was great. Overall felt like it was $10-$15 a night overpriced compared to other RR parks we stay at 9 months of the year. Nice people in the office.

Not a bad park. It looks like they are improving but there are a lot of cats in the campground. They also have many long term campers some in very poor condition. Not what I expect at a KOA.

We visited this KOA and found a very friendly, quiet place. Our site was lovely with a very nice patio set, bench swing and a nice grill. The staff is super nice and accommodating. The campground is close to Charleston making it very easy to tour and return to enjoy our site. We will definitely return.

We look forward to your return visit!

No qualms with the actual facility. Restrooms were clean, trash was collected twice a day, staff was very polite and helpful. The reason I docked points was unfortunately due to the location. It seemed that there were sirens going off about every 30 minutes. One other point was that the sites are really really close together, and staying mostly at state park campgrounds, we weren’t used to that.

Didn’t spend much time at the campground but was impressed with all I saw. Nice pool. Nice store. Friendly checkin. Gave us two trash bags. Easy in and out with our class c while attending softball games near by. Definitely would stay again.

Noise, noise, noise! Nice pool, clean facilities BUT the location in the middle of air, train & highway traffic is really not suitable for a Campground. Train horn at night ruins your sleep. Also we did not like to see that from 10pm a security vehicle on site is necessary. This raises doubts about the overall safety of the area.

Loved the campground and the staff were great. My only feedback was the random roaming cats. LOTS of them. Drove my dogs crazy from inside the camper and there was random cat feces in places. I’m sure the cats are from the neighboring trailer park but there were multiple cats.

Had a nice patio site but the campground is a little dated and could use some updates.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our campground is 50 plus years and we are actively working on upgrades. You'll have to visit us again and see the changes.

Site's asphalt had partially been removed. When we called to reserve it was requested to have asphalt. There were plenty of asphalt sites when we checked in. Rain brought a mud pie to the site. Cable was terrible, kept buffering. An aggressive dog next to our site was allowed to be on an extended rope which created a danger to us and a conflict ensued with the other guest. Engines ran all night.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We do not guarantee sites but do our best to honor requests. You were given a concrete site and we offered to move you when you were not satisfied with that site, which you refused. The owner of the dog was spoken to about the pet policy.

We were lucky enough to have a premium site and it was perfect! Being close to the highway and an airport was a little noisy but we got used to it. We will be back!

My stay was at the perfect time to see the spring blooms, the landscaping was really quite pretty. Most of the staff was helpful and very friendly. What was a bit peculiar was this was the second KOA I've been to this year that was willing to forgo cabin rentals so they didn't have to pay for housekeeping services.

Over all it was a ok place to stay… not very pet friendly on your camp site if you use a fence system I don’t recommend staying at this location when you and your pet are not using the fence they want you to take it down and store it. Which is why I would not recommend this place most people we know travel with pets.

Thought it was at Mt Plesant but ended up in Langston. Very nice just longer drive to shipyard baseball field. Our family enjoyed our time together there. Very courteous and nice place.

Although the staff were very polite, there were some things that caused frustration. Each morning there was either mowing or some sort of bobcat hauling going on. Dust everywhere... we had to get in our RV and close all the windows. One morning in particular we were fixing breakfast outside and a staff person started weed eating about 15 feet from us.

I stayed for 1 night and was robbed by the trailer park rundown neighborhood attached to KOA. they allow these people to use the facilities and have stolen from the RV park many times yet they still have no video surveillance and had no repercussions for my e-bike being stolen right from in front of my RV. They did NOTHING!!. PS I am a KOA member this one is the WORST!

Son and family live in Goose Creek. Campground is close to them.

Great stay. Loved the privacy on the back row. Clean. Caring staff. Will be back. Only downside might be air traffic. We enjoyed watching Air Force aircraft.

The staff was friendly and very helpful.

They have been doing a lot of work on the facilities and it shows. But the neighboring trailer park residents use the laundry and the bathrooms to the point of rediculousness. Why am I paying and I can’t get a shower or use a washer/dryer??? Why doesn’t the codes get changed to keep the facilities for paying customers? Wish there was somewhere else local.
Mar 25, 2025
The locations was easy to get into 26, but lots of ambulance noise and highway traffic noise. I had cat fights under my camper waking me up several nights and cat urine on my chairs. Lots of cats in the camp ground.
Mar 24, 2025
My site, E10, was so close to my neighbor, that I couldn't even sit outside without being up against their vehicles and sewer connection. That plus the noise from trains and traffic made it a miserable stay.

This is a good spot if you need to stay over a night or two on your way to other places. The campground is situated near a trailer park and there was loud music playing most of afternoon on Saturday. There was also a big-rig parked near me that ran their generator during the day. There are a lot (and I do mean a lot) of stray cats on the property Drove my dogs nuts.

We enjoyed our short stay and was impressed with how neat and clean the whole campground was! The sites are nice and roomy and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. We also appreciated the trash pick up each morning!

Everything was just fine. The park was well cared for. I did not use the bathrooms or laundry but we would definitely stay there again . Sites were level and the park is being maintained quite well.

We had a great Memorial Day stay! The pool was fantastic..lots of room and loved the hammocks. The staff was very friendly and responded immediately to any request we had. It was an easy drive to downtown Charleston and Mt Pleasant. It did rain and there was some pooling of water around some of our campers, but it drained quickly...after all it is called the "low country". Would definitely stay again. Update: we just stayed again for the 6th year in a row. They have stepped up their game with a few new additions around the campground and a dedicated maintenance crew that is on top of it. Highly recommend.

We enjoy our time at KOAs, however everything about this one was "off" in so many little ways which is not typical of the KOA brand. First it started with bad set of Google map directions in the welcome email which sent us 10 miles to a private residence. If you Google "Charleston KOA" for directions, it sends you to the correct location. Secondly, the tent site A10 is a parking logistics nightmare because of the close proximity of a metal grill, tree, shrub, dog waste container, and large RVs in the row across from our site. If a vehicle was in A11, our car doors would have hit each other due to the 2 feet difference in our adjacent gravel parking pads. An 8 foot fence does a good job of blocking out the ridiculously bright gas station floodlights. But the fence does not block the frequent emergency vehicle sirens from the highway (I've never heard so many sirens at night!) The bathrooms literally sparkles and are squeaky clean, however, do not hope for water pressure and hair shampooing in these showers (you'll want the phone # to their cleaning lady because she does such a great job!) Everyone is super friendly here and the curbside trash pickup was very nice amenity. The grounds are neat and tidy, water and electric at each site was convenient.
