We come every year and we love it. We book the next year as we are checking out. Going on my 6th year in a row. Also we have seen some nice improvements over that time period

I wish though that the spot we were given was one that could have properly received a vehicle our size. The spot was way too sandy. Our Class A just sunk when trying to pull out. It took 4 people over 2 hours to get it out. Thanks to maintenance for their help. About 60-80 bricks, numerous stones and boards later we got out but that should have never happened.

Beautiful place. Really beautiful. Creek acces. Very large campground. Most tent sites can be a walk to the bathroom/shower which can use more facilities. Large area for tent campsites. Attentive staff who regulated after quite hours. Great weekend activities for kids.

Beautiful campground with very nice services. However non-seasonal can’t use golf carts event with insurance which is tuff with the size and how far away everything is.

The reason that non seasonal campers can not have a golf cart is due to not being on our insurance. We do allow electric bikes.

The ground are very well kept. The spaces for the rv’s , campers or travel trailers are huge compared to other campgrounds I have visited. The facilities for families are wonderful.

Very roomy sites. A little off the road but worth it. Very helpful staff, helped us through a detour on the back roads. Will definitely go again.

Campground is amazing. Sites were very spacious and clean. Staff was super friendly! The river is stunning! A perfect gem! We will be back soon!

We had an awesome time. The sites were so big and spacious. It was great being by the river. The camp store was convenient and the prices were reasonable. The pool was awesome and we actually went in the river as well on our tubes and we had an awesome time thank you so much

The one thing I would consider updating/changing is the closing time of the pool. Currently it's set as 7 pm - with the warm weather, it would be nice if it were open maybe an hour later, 8pm.

Office personnel - EXCELLENT!, ALL Field staff - EXCELLENT!, Pool and Kiddie slides -� Bathrooms - very nice. However, someone should visit these bathrooms every morning. I know people are pigs and have no regard. But, the bathrooms should be attended every morning. We will definitely be back. Thank You.

I was disappointed with my stay. No one followed the rules and multiple tent sites had too many cars, people, and tents than what is allowed. Dogs were off leash more often than not. Quiet hours were never respected. And there was a total lack of bear safety. No info about it anywhere and trash was left all over the tent sites. As an avid camper, I'll be staying in state-run campgrounds.

The property is beautiful and clean. We loved the pool and even though we didn’t try the water slides, they are an awesome thing to have for kids & adults! We didn’t have to use the showers but we took a peek and that building was immaculate! Employees were friendly and helpful. This was our first time and we will be back!!

This is the second stay at gilboa. We stayed 2 weeks and loved every minute. We might get a shader spot next summer. The staff is great. The park is clean, the pool is great. Surprisingly close to Cooperstown and the Hall of Fame. See you all next year.

the lodge was really great, strong AC, comfy bed, was great to have a firepit & BBQ. Having a creek nearby for the little one was a major plus. The inflatables/ water slide was not inflated for the 3 days we were there, and I think they advertised a bouncy pillow which I did not see, which were major bummers. Having stuff to do for kids on site was a major factor in the booking. Still, great time

The hours for the waterslides was every day from 1-4. Sorry you didn't get to enjoy them. We do not have a jump pillow.

Very nice campground with large sites. Great that it has both large pool and creek for swimming. Staff is friendly and supportive. Only downside is the 20 min drive to nearest grocery store.

Absolutely beautiful campground and the view from our campsite was second to none! There is plenty to do for the family Our dogs loved the hugs dog park The staff is super friendly and helpful The grounds are immaculate Lots of activities, the water gun fight and 4th of July parade was super fun The fireworks display was spectacular!

My largest complaint is that we were essentially held hostage from checking out before 9am because the office does not open until then and when I called the after hours number I was told that they don't get to the office until then and they'd have to have housekeeping inspect the cabin before I could get my $100 cash security deposit back but housekeeping isn't there at 9. Feel free to call me.

Had you let us know the night before we could have tried to make earlier arrangements for you. Calling early the morning of we didn't have any options available for you. You also always have the option to leaeve your key in the night dropbox and have us mail you a check for your deposit.

The campground it’s self it’s very beautiful, majority of its staff was very kind and accommodating, except your manager from the time of our arrival I heard her hanging up and being abrupt and rude to people calling on the phone on one of my departures from the campground she stopped me and was yelling at me profusely for so-called speeding while I had my children in the vehicle

I am sorry that you found our manager to be abrupt.She does work a huge amount of extra hours on Holidays. None of us are at our best when tired. We do have many children running around all times not paying attention and sadly often unsupervised so we do really enforce that five mile an hour speed.

One of the best camping experience we ever had! Everyone was super nice, respectful of their “ neighbors “ and following the rules. Breath taking views and so much to do! This was the first time for us to camp here but definitely not the last. Thank you so much for the great memories.

Property is beautiful and lots for the kids to do! Tent site was amazing except campers next to us had a screaming child all night long. Rules on water slides were a bit insane and my daughter ended up injured by being told to put her arms out to slow herself down when the slide itself specifically says to keep arms in and she sprained her wrist by listening to camp staff.

Clean, friendly and very family oriented. We loved the water slides they had set up for the kids all week and the wagon/water fight. They also put on an AMAZING fire work display for Independence Day. You can even go down and take a dip in the river. You won’t be disappointed with your stay!

Great campground. Super quiet. Our site was almost perfect. Wish it was a little more level with some more gravel. I had fallen in a sink hole so site needs a little work.

We love this campground! This KOA has it all. It is beautifully located in the Catskill Mountains and offers great views and access to the Schoharie creek. The creek has a nice cliff background, deep area for you to swim, raft and fish! The campground also has a nice in-ground pool, loungers, and several waterslides for the kids. There is always something to do here or you can just enjoy the peace and quiet of the large sites. My family loves playing candy bingo, listening to the bands and DJ parties at the pavilion, the constant different fun themed weekends, the crafts for adults and kids, and tons of games. The campground is nice and secure and offers great biking and a playground second to none. The staff is amazing and the Owner is constantly making improvements throughout. You can see the pride that is put into this place. The bathrooms are always maintained clean as a whistle and the laundry facility is nice. With full hookups, there is honestly nothing else you could want at a campground. I've camped at several State, private owned campgrounds and KOAs and this one is hard to beat!

We absolutely love staying here! From the moment you arrive, you feel welcomed and relaxed. The campground is beautiful, clean, and so well maintained, with gorgeous mountains and beautiful Schoharie Creek, the peaceful atmosphere makes it easy to unwind. The staff and owners go above and beyond to make everyone feel like family. There are so many fun activities for both kids and adults, and the sites are spacious and well cared for. Whether you're looking for a quiet getaway or a fun family camping trip, this campground truly has it all. You can tell how much pride and heart goes into this place. We've made so many wonderful memories here. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an amazing camping experience!

This is one of the most BEAUTIFUL campgrounds that I've ever seen! The creek made my husband so happy as he caught fish every day! I bird watched, star gazed, rode my bike, relaxed and absorbed all of the beauty. This was our 2nd May visit and we will be back again next year! Highly recommended!
