We tent camped. The campground is beautiful and spacious. The bathrooms for campers are very nice but there were times we waited up to 40 minutes to get in.

Glad you had a great camping trip. We do have multiple bathrooms in the park and we definitley encourage you on your next visit with us to use a different bathhouse if the one in the tent area is too busy.

My wifes family has been using this campground for over 40 years. Recent stays have not been enjoyable and we are looking into other options. Biggest problem is the lack of picking your site which was only removed this year. Letting them pick your site seems to be an issue as they will cram you in a small site when the park is not full.

You do have the ability when booking online to leave a note to request a specific site. Or you can always call and make a reservation and ask for a spcific site. Yes the software will auto assign a smaller site when you have a smaller rig.

The fact that this campsite is family run is evident in the pride and care of the place and the friendliness of the everyone in the staff. Our second time here and love all the improvements! Only thing I was surprised and concerned that there is no recycling/separation of the trash?? Isn't it the law in NYC to separate trash and recycle? I saw so many cans in the trash that could be redeemed!

Everything was great! The only issue we had is that we had asked three times if the gate would go up at 11 pm when part of our group whom traveled three hours arrived and they said yes it would go up but it didn’t . Then the campground couldn’t find their reservation and we had already checked them in . So it should f been there . They took care of the issue and escorted them to the site .

We had a 5 night stay here in June. It was very quiet since it was early in the summer season, which we greatly enjoyed! The campground is beautifully maintained and the sites spacious. It’s in a remote location with a feel of being far from the hustle and bustle of life. The staff was very friendly and had good recommendations of places to go and see. Keep up the great work!

We had an issue upon arrival, where our site did not match our reservation. The staff corrected this promptly, and were very nice. Overall the campground is beautiful. Bathrooms some of the cleanest ive seen. Activities were good.

Sites were clean, new shower houses are great. There were several vehicles not adhering to the 5 mph speed limit, some appeared to be the workers for the campground. Biggest complaint is having to hike up that hill to register upon arrival. That is very inconvenient, especially for us older folk. That needs definite improvement. Overall we had a nice quiet week and met some nice people.

We agree the hike up the hill to register is steep. Our long term plan is to build a new store building on the level where you pull in. Unfortunatley no great solution in the short run. We have tried a few different ideas already. Definitley open to any ideas or suggestions you might have.

Large area and nice open area. The Very Long Path is next to the campground. Walked to the Cider works and enjoyed their varies Ciders. Also went to the local Museum and the Dam. Very pretty area.

Two couples, no kids and one dog. Very clean, well maintained campground. Pool area was nice, we had a lot of sun so was thankful for the covered lounge chairs. Large site next to open area so we got in a lot of stargazing. Can’t say enough about this KOA, would definitely recommend to alll! We will be back soon.

Our rv side was not level and had very deep holes. We had to put blocks under our jacks to somehow level our rv. The sewer cover is missing.

Our stay was great the only thing that needed more attention was that the garbage dumpsters in the 500 section were in dire need of emptying. They were so full that people were leaving their bags on the ground and on top of them. You couldn't put another bag in them.

First site was a bit soft for our rig.No problem.Office moved us right away and apologized. Sites were good sized and clean could use some gravel but I know they are working on the campground. The stumps from tree removal would be helpful if ground down. Our friends site had a good size one that was semi flush cut. But was not easy to navigate around. Great band on Saturday night. River was nice

Thank you for your review-unfortunately we have had a very wet springs but happy we could accommodate with a dryer site. We are a heavily wooded campground and do our best to manicure areas trees have been removed. The Schoharie is beautiful and we are pleased you enjoyed.

Nice large site with plenty of room between sites. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Cable was excellent, could say the best we've ever had. Large Park and spread out. The park is several miles from highway and secluded. The downside of the resort is check in is not convenient, you must park and walk quite a distance back to office. Can't comment on activities as we were there off season

This campground has always been beautiful and relaxing but now that it's a KOA it's even better - nearby Rockland Cider Works a plus, lots of stuff to keep kids happy.

Someone brings you to your site and assist in backing you in, Wood and ice delivered to your camp site, clean well managed. I have stayed there several times before the only thing I have bad to say is the site I had this time the site was small and felt crowded however it hasn't been the case in prior visits.

We stayed for Memorial Day weekend. The staff around the campground was exceptional, very courteous, very outgoing and polite. The campground was extremely clean. The sites were large enough that you did not feel cramped. Rated 3 due to customer service upon arrival. Lady in the office not so nice, short, & just rude. You pay a lot to camp here, you look for a warm welcome! Much improvement needed

We are sorry you did not feel you experienced a warm welcome upon arrival. We are coaching that staff member to be more friendly even when overwhelmed. Holiday weekends we need to be efficient but friendly. I hope you will come vist us again. This particular staff member is actually very sweet.

We go there 2-3 times during the summer for the last 4 years. It is an awesome place, amazing location. This year there are some updates, like wi-fi and a new WC/shower station in the 6xx area. One wish is that it would be nice to have a bigger or additional shower station there (currently, it has only 2 shower/restroom cabins) because there's a line most of the time.

A little too rustic for our taste, but very nice office people. For true camping people, fine.

Huge campground! I like that the RV's were parked on the exterior while a huge grass interior was available and we weren't on top of each other. I did not hear a peep after 10pm which was great and allowed the windows to be open in the RV all night! I never found the 2nd dog park because it was so big! LOL!

Very large park. Quiet. Pool and water slides were a big hit. Creek was also a nice bonus. Will be coming back!

It was great. The sites were large enough that you felt like you had your own space without being on top of your neighbors. There was a lot to do which was awesome. It kept our kids busy for most of our trip.

This is a beautiful campground. All the sites are well spaced and surrounded by lots of woods. A little bit off the beaten path but well worth the trip. Also lots of amenities for kids if you we traveling with young ones. A peaceful respite before getting back on the road.

We were there prior to the pool being open & the water slides for kids being open. Some big changes to the park, but they now have extremely good WiFi throughout the park.

We had a waterfront site that was quiet and quite roomy. This KOA is a work in progress but they’re working hard everyday. Very well maintained. In a very rural beautiful area. Friendly helpful staff, manager is wonderful and doing an excellent job. Would definitely stay again. Only negative, charged son’s family $10 a head to visit for the afternoon.

31 ft motorhome+tow. Off beaten path from interstate so nice n quiet. Some narrow windy roads getting there. Gated. Downside for us was asked to walk a distance uphill to register because no one at gate building. PW wifi, cable & cell svc great. Large grassy, level site. Easy in/out. Amenities a hike so we did not use. Rail trail nearby w geocache series; a plus for us. Would stay again to explore

Men’s bathroom was never cleaned. Don’t advertise that you have a laundry room when your machine’s are out of order. Trash can near our site was never emptied (4 days). Loud music till 10 PM. Not sure how many people like this. Pluses: Beautiful area. Staff responded quickly about a fresh water pressure problem. No fix available. So, weak water pressure.

Well company came and diagnosed the problem. They replaced a piece of equipment for that particular well. Water pressure has been restored on the sites serviced by that well. All new machines on order. They are arriving the end of June.

Was great, we traveled 3hrs to check out this facility and it was great. We will definitely return. We stayed in the 300 section and loved it. Campground personnel were all extremely friendly and helpful. KOA did a good decision buying this place.

Best camping trip ever. Amazing facility, and the beautiful location. Very courteous staffs, easy check in and check out. This was my first trip with rv trailer, had difficulty backing up, the staff helped me do that. It has nice playgrounds for kids, live music in the evening, pool, bouncing inflatables and so on highly recommend .

Just wanted to take a moment and give this KOA a five star review, we've stayed here many times and it's always an enjoyable experience. The staff went above and beyond for the 4th of July weekend - when the fireworks that were scheduled fell through they personally drove around to campsites apologizing to everyone. After having a conversation with staff members we learned about the other struggles they were having throughout the weekend yet they continued to show up and do the best they could to ensure everyone was having a good time. We greatly appreciate them and all the work they put into making this one of our favorite places to visit.
