Quiet, large sites, very relaxing, very accommodating when we had to move to a place not near the water. Kids had a fantastic time in the pool and waterslides, very friendly people.

We enjoyed our time there but had two problems. First, the website was misleading when it said that there was room for a tent. We brought a small tent for my granddaughter and her friend but were told to take it down. Apparently, "tent" means canopy. Our other problem was that they moved us out of our original site and put us into a site where we had direct sun from about 1 p.m. until sunset.

Campground was extremely clean and well kept. Facilities were cleaned regularly. Many activities available for kids and even more were being built. However there needs to be more bathrooms for the tent-only area. Only 2 bathrooms with showers were available for 10+ sites. The main bathroom facilities by the pool/club house was very far.

We enjoyed the site and grounds. We do wish the pool opened earlier and stayed open past 7. Also the waterslides were open longer than 3 hours. A movie night in the lower field would be a good addition.

The facilities were clean and the grounds were kept nice. Unfortunately, the rules were not enforced. Many dogs were not on leashes and their owners were not picking up after their pets. Other campers sent their children to play in the dog park (without dogs). This made the dog park unusable for dogs. People up past 2AM drinking and being loud. Our camping experience was more stressful than not.

What can u say? KOA Gilboa is one of the nicest campgrounds I’ve ever visited! The sites are lovely (we camped by the river) there’s not a bad place there. The entertainment and continuous activities make it so you don’t have to leave the camp. The staff is top notch the only thing better is the WiFi. If you want a beautiful place to work online you will have hit the jack pot here!!

Our stay was very good. The amenities were very well kept, and the activities were well organized. I did notice the playground on the lower level was removed. It would be more convenient to have a small playground on the lower level, but other than that, everything was great.

my family had 2 sites in the 600 section. We had a wonderful time. Our only complaint is that there were not enough bathrooms for that section. Only 2 bathrooms which included a shower in each is definitely not enough for that whole section. We often had to wait in a line to use the bathroom and sometimes had to wait a long time. It would be helpful to at least add a few more toilets.

Not enough toilets in our area, site 616, the showers slowed up everyone. Otherwise a very nice encampment.

Yes though we took out the outhouse and replaced with a brand new building which housed a full service shower-sink-toilet on both sides -the toilet use alone does warrant our attention. Thank you for staying with us and we look forward to your next stay with us

This was our 5th consecutive year, but it will be our last. The water slides only being open for 3 hours was way too short of a time period, especially when those open hours are inconvenient for our young children that nap in the afternoon. Pool opening very late morning, 11am, was also disappointing considering our kids were ready to swim by 8am. Asked to remove our Gadsden flag. Etc.

We ask that all in our campground only fly an American flag. Sorry our hours of the pool and waterslides were inconvenient but they haven't really changed for what they were in previous owners or previous years.

Only issue had was with the new bathrooms. The only 2 bathrooms at the cliff sites contained showers in them. So those of us who needed to pee quickly had to stand in line for 10-20 mins to pee because someone was showering in there. I suggest getting at least one bathroom area with no showers attached. Other than that, it was fantastic as always! See ya next year. Thank you!

We had a wonderful time here, playing on the waterslides, swimming in the pool- which had plenty of seating options. That weekend they had a wildlife show(with owls, falcons, hawks, and a turkey vulture) which was really neat to see up close. We swam and explored the creek, made crafts saturday morning, and listened to live music saturday night. They had a lot of activities friday&saturday to do.

Nothing special. What I read about the new owners rang true. They don't care about families, KOA members, or campers in general. Just the money. Nickle and dime for everything. Travel for hours and get there an hour early? That'll be an extra $35 please. NEVER have I had a KOA as money grabbing as this place. Small overcrowded pool, water slides for the kids open only 3 hrs.

The campground is really nice. The pool, the swimming water holes, Saturday night band were great. The laundrymat and bathrooms were very clean. The staff was welcoming and very helpful. It would have been nice if they had mini golf there.Overall the campground was very clean. It was relaxing, we had a great time.

Although we were only there one night we were so happy. It was easy to back in and the site was huge. The grounds were well maintained and the amenities were abundant. We loved walking down to the water. We will definitely be back and share our experience with others. Thank you, Rodney and Suzanne

This KOA has proven to be one of our favorites. There are so many different types of sites to choose from. Camp near the water park if you have kiddos, or far away to remove yourself from the center of the park. We rode our eBikes all over the grounds and were in awe of the beauty. We will be back!

We came for just a weekend getaway, and what a great time it was! We didn’t want to leave! Sights are spacious and plenty. The grounds are well maintained, staff is friendly, and plenty of wide open spaces with lots to do! We were there for Christmas in July and enjoyed the themed weekend. Even enjoyed the band playing right from our campsite across the way. Very picturesque! We will be back

Well organized from check in to check out. We stayed on Xmas in July weekend and my grandkids absolutely loved this place. Water slides, pool, band, crafts, wagon ride, fishing, swimming in the creek and much more. Great staff everyone was friendly. Sites are big and clean. We will be returning next year.

Like the campground very much large sites are the reason we go to this campground. Upgrade to Wi-Fi makes a big difference in reception. Would love to see a second pool in the future upgrades.

Absolutely loved this campground. Spaces are large and shady (some waterfront ones are not) and there is so much open space for kids to play. Dogs parks are large as well. The band Sat night was great. Restrooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Great time was had by all.

Loved the Saturday band! Did not find a lot to do in area. Did not appreciate stepping in dog feces in grassy area! People need to pick up after their pets!!!!

We truly had the best time, it was beautiful and relaxing. I will recommend golf cart rentals. My family could have used one this past weekend as our daughter is on crutches with a broken foot. A golf cart would have been very handy. Especially for the trip to the pool � overall great experience and time. We will be back in a few weeks

Good: Good space. Grass was short. Pizza and wings were great on arrival. Close to falls and museums. SWE great. Bad: 1. Low trees needed trimming. 2. No swim signs at creek. 3. We reserved a waterfront site but couldn't see due to overgrowth. We asked for a tool but they said they'd send someone and offered another site. Site was so unlevel it took took too long to park. Not addressed 7 days.

We are pleased you stayed with us and enjoyed the surrounding sights and hikes and our park. The vegetation does help with the erosion of the embankment-was trimmed this spring-the rainy weather increased the growth.

We love this campground! This KOA has it all. It is beautifully located in the Catskill Mountains and offers great views and access to the Schoharie creek. The creek has a nice cliff background, deep area for you to swim, raft and fish! The campground also has a nice in-ground pool, loungers, and several waterslides for the kids. There is always something to do here or you can just enjoy the peace and quiet of the large sites. My family loves playing candy bingo, listening to the bands and DJ parties at the pavilion, the constant different fun themed weekends, the crafts for adults and kids, and tons of games. The campground is nice and secure and offers great biking and a playground second to none. The staff is amazing and the Owner is constantly making improvements throughout. You can see the pride that is put into this place. The bathrooms are always maintained clean as a whistle and the laundry facility is nice. With full hookups, there is honestly nothing else you could want at a campground. I've camped at several State, private owned campgrounds and KOAs and this one is hard to beat!

We absolutely love staying here! From the moment you arrive, you feel welcomed and relaxed. The campground is beautiful, clean, and so well maintained, with gorgeous mountains and beautiful Schoharie Creek, the peaceful atmosphere makes it easy to unwind. The staff and owners go above and beyond to make everyone feel like family. There are so many fun activities for both kids and adults, and the sites are spacious and well cared for. Whether you're looking for a quiet getaway or a fun family camping trip, this campground truly has it all. You can tell how much pride and heart goes into this place. We've made so many wonderful memories here. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an amazing camping experience!

This is one of the most BEAUTIFUL campgrounds that I've ever seen! The creek made my husband so happy as he caught fish every day! I bird watched, star gazed, rode my bike, relaxed and absorbed all of the beauty. This was our 2nd May visit and we will be back again next year! Highly recommended!
