Very clean. Camp spots are large with fire pit. Nice bathrooms. My only complaint is that when you search directions on Google maps it takes you somewhere not even close. Poor signage on the interstate.

Site we were assigned was to small for our 23 foot trailer. Not able to pull down our steps due to large tree moved. This area was muddy for pets. Freeway very close and noisy.

I would not recommend Big Timber KOA, especially if you have a big rig. Pro: Easy Access from Interstate Hwy. Con: Narrow roads, barely wide enough for a vehicle. Loud train. Sites are way too close together. If full I would not be able to get in to my site. Had to remove BBQ just to open slide. Had to move my truck so neighbor could get his rig out. Won't stay here again.

Beautiful setting with lots of trees. So many birds. Pretty quiet even with the highway noise and occasional trains. Only there for one night. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff was friendly and facilities were clean. Park is next to both the Interstate and a railroad. Close to a railway crossing so the trains were blowing their whistles all night

We had a wonderful stay at Big Timber. We stayed for three nights during a vintage camper rally. The bathrooms were very nice and always clean. The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. Most of the sites are pull throughs and easy to get in and out of. There was some traffic and train noise we thought might be an issue but honestly we didn't really notice it at all. Will def come back!

This campground is great! The owners are working hard to make updates and provide a nice place to stay. Inside the store the check in ladies are the best! Always friendly and helpful. Thank you for another wonderful weekend at the Big Sky camper rally. See you next year!

This is such a beautiful park with the most generous staff. Clean all around. The noise levels from the interstate are high, but there are plenty of spots closer to the playground and creek that are significantly quieter. Lots for kids and families to do from the playground, to the mill, hiking, or just exploring Big Timber.

Nice KOA! Lots for the kiddos to do and most sites were very shady. Well stocked store! Only drawback is the proximity to the highway and many trains pass thru each day so a bit noisy but I'm sure in summer, with AC units running in campers, nighttime noise would be minimal. Would be 5 stars but for the trains.

Nice campground but so close to the freeway and the train that we were unable to sleep much. Spent one night. We had a cabin and it was pretty far from the showers for us but fine. Nice dog area. It lost power but the owner hooked up and extension cord for heat and was super nice. He offered to refund but we were glad to be cozy. Went into big timber and had a nice meal at the grande hotel.

Love this KOA. Best sites (personal spa on the site), best cabin offering (bathroom and mini kitchen!!) cute gift shop, and opportunity for breakfast burritos - yum!! Staff was courteous, helpful, and very friendly.

To start with the young woman who checked me in was great. She was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. The campsite itself seemed good, but the site’s water was brownish and smelling funky. Hot & cold was reversed at the sinks, & hot was only warm. Lots of road noise, and LOUD train horns several times during the night. Woke me up. I won’t be back.

Excellent conditions, beautiful grounds and well-kept trees and RV spaces. So easy to pull in and park in well marked spots. Nice showers and clean facilities. It was an uplifting visit out of all our RV stops. � (Space numbers could be updated to be more visible. We did have to walk up and down row to figure out which spot was ours.)

Very nice camp spaces. Beautiful trees for shade Friendly staff. Clean bathroom and showers and laundry room. Our campsite was a bit dirty but others were very clean. Nice little dog park we used I definitely used the free ear plugs at night because of the train nearby.

The setting of this park is very nice. With the exception of an occasional train, it is a quiet park. There is plenty of grass and shade is provided by the many trees. The staff could make a stay more appealing by ensuring all the bird poop is removed from each guest's picnic table, grill and electrical power stand. It was obvious this was not on the staff's checklist. We took photos.

These folks were great. We had planned on car-glamping for accommodation while on across country adventure.The weather changed and tent/car camping was not a thought we wanted to entertain. After inquiring if upgraded to a little dry cabin was possible, we spent a warm and comfortable sleep. The amenity offered were clean and in working order. All but one will have this review as they were all #1.

I know they are probably very nice people that run this campground. We just feel they were not ready for campers yet. Lawns not mowed tree limbs down. Broken picnic table on our lot. Beautiful spot and way to get to.

Mens bathroom and shower not functional. Men and women using same multi unit bath and shower. Many shady sites available. We were placed in a sunny gravel site. Close to highway noise.

This campground was fantastic!! The grounds were clean and neat, staff was very friendly and helpful. They were able to upgrade my tent site to a cabin due to medical issues with no problem!

We had a very nice stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The views were very nice. It was easily accessible from the highway. We would stay here again if in the area. Outside their control and for information, you hear highway noise and trains. We were there for 4 days, and after the first we hardly noticed.

No showers on May 1st. Not a water thing (we had water at the site). Just not ready. If you’re a Journey set up for quick stay overs and you’re open and we pay full price, you have to have showers. Didn’t declare before we got there (had reservations). With all the communication we get, KOA process should tell us whenever anything on the spec list isn’t available.

Great setting. Yes there is a train close but it isn’t a problem. The creek and trees make it peaceful.

Disappointing at this time. No showers available. 2 single bathrooms one for ladies, one for men, located in the store only available 8am to 6pm. Wouldnt allow ice to be put on credit card. Major renovations being done to water system. Campground should be closed until renovations are completed in my opinion.

We are a long bed truck, and 42' 5th wheel. I booked a site large enough for 45' trailer according to what the campground picked for me. However, our truck would not fit in the site once I unhooked. They advertise plenty of big spots, but this place is a tight fit. You also have to be ok with the trees, manuevering in them, and what they drop on your rigs, branches included. One went down in the park the day we arrived. It's a pretty setting, creek is on site. But be aware that it is next to freeway. All that said, the people who work/manage are good people and helpful where they can be.

We have stayed here many times now. They are the best! Always friendly and welcoming. They are always available for questions and just make it an all around pleasant stay. Jonathon is amazing and so good with customer service. This is one of iur favorite KOA campgrounds!

We seemed to have had a different experience than the two reviews ahead of mine. We've been traveling in our motorhome for a month now and have stayed in many campgrounds including KOAs. I thought this campground was one of the nicest “journeys” that we've stayed in. Sites are level and we found the campground to be clean and well taken care of. Management does mention noise from the highway and trains that may be going by but we didn't notice that at all. We would definitely stay here next time our travels bring us to this area.
