Stayed in site #65 with our 42' fiver. Gravel site with nice patio area overlooking pond. Site when empty appears to serve as drive through for other sites site was not level, wheels actual came off ground to level. We had to set blocks under wheels to rest on. Black water stub was higher than normal and would not drain rig properly, even with our sloping bridge for drain hose.

let me start with saying the people that work here were very nice. that is why it got 2 stars. beyond that this place is so run down. the bath house on one side the roof leaked directly over the toilet. the other side had black mold at the entrance to the shower. the playground equipment was old and not well maintained. the dog run was tiny and not well taken care of

I will definitely come back. This was always our ten . But 1 problem is full timers are using dog area and not cleaning up after their dogs. Tried using dog area it was full of poop, never before. Next morning saw 2 different families from full time area put their dogs in there and never clean up. So won't use the dog area there.

Perfect over night next to the highway. We arrived late after dark. A very kind staff member lead us to our camp spot so it was easy to get settled in for the night.

The staff were wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. After getting set up they came to our site and asked if we needed anything. He came back later to tell us a storm was heading our way and where to go for shelter if needed. Sites are good sized with plenty of trees. We were on the far side of the pond so road noise was not a problem. Restroom were clean.

Staff is great and the sites are nice. The one negative is proximity to the interstate - traffic is constant and there's really no spot that isn't in the noise zone. It's convenient to the highway so makes a good overnight, it's just not conducive to multiple nights.

Booked this spot for an overnight when traveling from Florida to Chicago. Owners were great and called me with instructions on my site and how to find it since I was coming in well after regular check in time. Pull through site was huge and easy hook ups for a quick 6hrs of sleep. Location was perfect for travel on 57, less than 2miles from exit/entrance ramp and food/fuel options right there.

Always our choice for an overnight when we travel to Florida twice a year. Friendly owner, well kept and hookups are always working. Price is right too!

Appreciated the newer Camp K9 as our Aussie enjoyed it! Pizza was very good too along with pulled pork Nachos. Great for overnight stay where I did not have to cook anything

Friendly people. Nice place. First time we stayed we were by the pond and it was awesome. Second time we ended up by the interstate. Too much noise!

Our stay @ Benton Illinois KOA was wonderful! Karen (the manager) was the best! She got us through a small concern upon arrival, after a long travel day. She was extremely caring, kind & compassionate! Karen was an absolute blessing to us!! The bathrooms were very clean & warm after a long frigid day. Would recommend Benton KOA to all our traveling friends & family.

No one on duty when we arrived prior to 5:00. There were no lights near the gravel drive to campsite and the walk to the restroom/shower was a bit hard to navigate. The bathrooms and showers were very nice and clean.

Very pleasant park with clean bathhouses. Hosts were absolutely top drawer- very helpful and caring. Previous camper on site shut off water spigot heat tape which froze pipe. Hosts spent 30 minutes thawing the pipe to ensure we had water hookup.

A harsh was just an overnight day. The attendant was very nice and helpful. It is hard to tell what the entire campground look like because of the 1618 inches of snow everywhere. However, our parking spot was plowed and ready for us to spend the night. The road noise was evident, but due to construction a lot of trucks are using what used to be the shoulder and hitting the rumble strip often.

Upon arrival we found out that the campsite we wanted was already booked, we had screwed up on our reservation and didn’t pay attention. The next morning the hosts called us and told us the people did not show up, and they offered us to move campsites! We were so super excited and thought that was such great hospitality.

Fantastic. Someone there to Check you in, and lead you to your spot after a 7 hour driving day. Plenty of eating/drinking opportunities 5 minutes into town. Nice Pool. Would stay here again, coming through.

Benton KOA Journey is an easy overnight stop just off I-57. Since we were already familiar with the campground layout, we called ahead to ask if we could go directly to our site on the opposite side of the road from the office and check in afterward. The staff gladly accommodated our request. We stayed in Deluxe Full-Hookup Pull-Through Patio Site 65, which made it easy to center our 40-foot fifth wheel on the utilities. The site was slightly off level, but we did not need to use blocks. The gravel patio featured a huge wheelchair-accessible picnic table, fire pit with cooking grate, stand-up charcoal grill, wooden swing, and bench. We received one bar on Verizon and two bars on T-Mobile. There are mature trees around the seven pull-through sites across the road from the main campground, but Starlink should work in most of them if you're able to position the dish around the trees. For this overnight stay, we used our T-Mobile Home Internet, which averaged 358 Mbps download and 2.7 Mbps upload. The campground Wi-Fi was adequate for light browsing. A fenced dog park was conveniently located near our site, and being across the road from the main campground helped reduce interstate noise. Overall, this is a clean, well-run KOA with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, and a good overnight stop returning to our home base in southern Illinois to rest and dump tanks.

Easy access off Hwy 57 great rates quite sites near pond Great people Jasmine was especially efficient over the phone and even provided escort services to site on late arrival. Very welcoming and strong Internet clean sites beautiful!
