My wife trip in our Motorhome at about 1045 PM. She had two small cuts on her forehead but I noticed a major swelling above her right eye. I called the Kampground owners for directions to the nearest hospital and they both went into overdrive. They, and the local police summoned by my wife's MedAlert, requested an Ambulance and assisted as she was rushed to the hospital. Very special people.

My stay had it issues but can’t blame the campground the staff was friendly. My issue was with Mother Nature the humidity was heavy but once settled in my tent I managed then at 3am a very storm came through and I got soaked but managed to get the cover over the tent and prevented anymore water soaking me again this was not the campgrounds fault the place was nice and I will bereturning

Benton KOA Journey was a very nice surprise. We booked it as an overnight stay after a 450 mile segment. We arrived 10-15 minutes after the office closed and we found the late guest checkin information. As we were heading back to the truck a camphost arrived in a cart and escorted us to our sight. The site was one of the longest, most level pull thru sites we have ever had. Didn’t have to unhook

stayed for 2 weeks and could have used a shaded spot, many were empty the entire time we were camped. We were in a shade less spot our entire stay... left early, not happy.

Very nice KOA, well maintained by a friendly staff. The only downside is that the location is very close to the Interstate, so we had quite a bit of traffic noise all night. It wasn't terrible and we would stay again, but might try to get a spot closer to the front which is further from the highway.

Always nice to stay here. Keith helped me fix my mud skirt and the young lady at the office was able to swith my site to a pond view with no problem. I stay there about 8 times a yr traveling from fox lake to Tampa Bay

Second time there. Arrived after hours but was met by Keith who helped us check in and helped us to our spot. The bathrooms are remodeled and the pool is small but clean and refreshing. Thanks Keith and thank you for your service in the Coast Guard too.

“Site” 52 isn’t a site - just a spot off the road next to the other sites. They just assumed because we had a class B van and we’re only staying one night that we didn’t need an actual site. It was awful and the road noise from the highway was very loud. The owner did give us another site, but of course charged us more. I don’t think he understood why I was so upset. We felt like an

The owners were very prompt and accommodating us when we had no power. It was due to their electrical source, and they fixed it on the spot.

Nothing particularly wrong with park, but nothing that really makes it worth navigating the tight turns to get to the park. I would have thought that the park comments upon reserving a spot would mention the tight turn off of Main street. Not the parks fault, but, advance notice would help customers look for alternatives.

Came in @7:59pm office was locked up & keys around the corner. Everything was very dark & I needed a flashlight to see. The parking for the cabin was on the main strip so as cars went by loose gravel hit car. Worst part was there was a huge rut in the ground and my daughter stepped in it & twisted her ankle. I took her to the ER & she had a severe sprain. Wheel chair access NO! Rotted boards YES!

Clean, easily accessible, friendly! Sites are perfect sized, just the right amount of sun/shade mix, the pool is perfect too! We’ll absolutely book here again for a quick overnight stay!

we enjoyed most of it except for not being able to connect to the internet for very long. we would get kicked off in the evenings apparently when everybody else was connecting too. My husband did say something to the person at the welcome store but nothing changed with it. Loved the pool, loved the food, loved the laundry mat and activities.

We had a pond side back in. The size was great for our 25 ft pull behind. We loved the little glider swing facing the pond. The laundry room was small, but clean. The hosts were helpful and polite. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

The campground is right next to a water treatment plant and wi-fi was weak. KOAs like to list that they have wi-fi but it never works. We tried to find a restaurant in the small town of Benton but the only available food was fast food restaurants; looks like Covid lockdowns killed this town - very sad. Campground is separated into two areas and is basic. We will not stay at this KOA again.

Fantastic. Someone there to Check you in, and lead you to your spot after a 7 hour driving day. Plenty of eating/drinking opportunities 5 minutes into town. Nice Pool. Would stay here again, coming through.

Benton KOA Journey is an easy overnight stop just off I-57. Since we were already familiar with the campground layout, we called ahead to ask if we could go directly to our site on the opposite side of the road from the office and check in afterward. The staff gladly accommodated our request. We stayed in Deluxe Full-Hookup Pull-Through Patio Site 65, which made it easy to center our 40-foot fifth wheel on the utilities. The site was slightly off level, but we did not need to use blocks. The gravel patio featured a huge wheelchair-accessible picnic table, fire pit with cooking grate, stand-up charcoal grill, wooden swing, and bench. We received one bar on Verizon and two bars on T-Mobile. There are mature trees around the seven pull-through sites across the road from the main campground, but Starlink should work in most of them if you're able to position the dish around the trees. For this overnight stay, we used our T-Mobile Home Internet, which averaged 358 Mbps download and 2.7 Mbps upload. The campground Wi-Fi was adequate for light browsing. A fenced dog park was conveniently located near our site, and being across the road from the main campground helped reduce interstate noise. Overall, this is a clean, well-run KOA with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, and a good overnight stop returning to our home base in southern Illinois to rest and dump tanks.

Easy access off Hwy 57 great rates quite sites near pond Great people Jasmine was especially efficient over the phone and even provided escort services to site on late arrival. Very welcoming and strong Internet clean sites beautiful!
