Park is a little difficult to find…in a very small town. But it was a lovely campground with fishing lakes and nicely kept grounds. Staff is small but friendly.

It was only an overnight rest stop but here is an honest review of what I saw. All the sites are overgrown and the bathrooms need to be gutted and refurbished.

We were late check in so there was no interaction with the staff. The campground appeared unkept and in need of TLC. The guests on the upper hill seemed rather sketchy. Truck loaded with junk and trash around the trailers. Our site was not level and needed gravel.

One of our favorite overnight stops on our way to see our grandkids. Nice sites. Friendly staff. Love the pond. No complaints.

3 night stay. Mostly permanent dwellers or overnight stayers. Good points: cable TV connection, easy in and out pull through spots. Bad points: office smelled musty, very close to interstate so loud truck noises can be heard 24/7.

The stay was fine great site the RV next to me vibrated my trailer until late at night I don,t know if there engine was running or what. And second I was stung by a wasp and I went to the office and they did not have anything for a wasp or bee sting. They should have something for this and second it would of been nice if they offered to get something for the sting in town. They sparyed the wasps.

Staff had me drive forward into a back-in site next to a house, which was confusing. We requested a different lot away from buildings, they took us to a pull-through in the wrong direction. Attempting to turn around nearly caused a jackknife with my trailer. Additionally, the sewer line was open and missing a cap. Not pleasant next to our unit. They're not up to KOA standards. I want a refund.

Very dusty campground. Musty, damp, dank bathrooms that need thorough cleaning,and adequate hvac to manage humidity. Testing for mold is needed.

Friendly and nice staff, nice campsite. Super dusty campground, just driving through to get to my site my motorhome and towed vehicle got covered in dust. Campsite had a lot of dog poop we had to avoid.

Spent 1 night and needed a new battery. Went to the office and they stopped what they were doing and drove us to get one and dropped us back at our spot. So helpful.

The KOA in Benton Illinois the cabins were nice. The grounds were kept clean and very nice. The staff was friendly. My code would not work on one of the bathrooms and the shower in the other bathroom had no Hot water had to walk across to the main building to take a shower.

There were what looked to be permanent residents and their campsites were trashed and stuff everywhere. There is a random boat in the Woods. The trash cans were grossly over flowing. First impression was not great. No incidents over night and booking and check in were easy and park was quiet.

We enjoy going to this campground, a couple times a year, we love these spots around the pond and the lovely greenery and bamboo. We get to see great area and close to a lot of things we like to do together!

We were in the back where the staff lives. The golf carts have to go or slow down. The staff was driving up and down all night. I know they weren't working. At 3 in the morning the music needed to be turned down. Staff was nice but clean up their area....

We stopped here on our way to (and from) our daughter’s home in Wisconsin. The campground is clean, quiet and well maintained. Pretty spot, conveniently located near the interstate. Didn’t bring the camper this trip so we took advantage of the cabins.

The bathhouses had some subfloor structure issues that seemed unsafe. I don’t like that you have to cross a busy street to access the pool and office/store. The sites were easily accessed and well maintained.

The bathrooms were very, very old and outdated. And had bad musty smells The showers had wood slat floors in it then when I sat down on the toilet seat. It had a crack in it you could not see and pinched me really bad. Just was not set up as nice as the other.

We stayed over night on our way through. Payed for the patio upgraded site. Site was gravel, with pavers, and tables. Bathrooms were not clean and smelled bad. Did not want to use them. Wifi was none existent. Looked like a few long term campers there. No signs for the KOA from the freeway until you get there. Freeway is very close, had to wear ear plugs to sleep. We will not be back.

Fantastic. Someone there to Check you in, and lead you to your spot after a 7 hour driving day. Plenty of eating/drinking opportunities 5 minutes into town. Nice Pool. Would stay here again, coming through.

Benton KOA Journey is an easy overnight stop just off I-57. Since we were already familiar with the campground layout, we called ahead to ask if we could go directly to our site on the opposite side of the road from the office and check in afterward. The staff gladly accommodated our request. We stayed in Deluxe Full-Hookup Pull-Through Patio Site 65, which made it easy to center our 40-foot fifth wheel on the utilities. The site was slightly off level, but we did not need to use blocks. The gravel patio featured a huge wheelchair-accessible picnic table, fire pit with cooking grate, stand-up charcoal grill, wooden swing, and bench. We received one bar on Verizon and two bars on T-Mobile. There are mature trees around the seven pull-through sites across the road from the main campground, but Starlink should work in most of them if you're able to position the dish around the trees. For this overnight stay, we used our T-Mobile Home Internet, which averaged 358 Mbps download and 2.7 Mbps upload. The campground Wi-Fi was adequate for light browsing. A fenced dog park was conveniently located near our site, and being across the road from the main campground helped reduce interstate noise. Overall, this is a clean, well-run KOA with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, and a good overnight stop returning to our home base in southern Illinois to rest and dump tanks.

Easy access off Hwy 57 great rates quite sites near pond Great people Jasmine was especially efficient over the phone and even provided escort services to site on late arrival. Very welcoming and strong Internet clean sites beautiful!
