We make this a regular stop on our winter trip south. If we can't dewinterize the restroom/showers here are warm and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Quiet spot after a long day driving. We'll be back.

We were just passing through and needed a place for the night, the staff was very friendly when we made reservations over the phone because we would arrive after hours. This is definitely a place I will visit again.

I only stayed the one night as I was only passing through but the Benton koa was great I was able to call ahead and they made arrangements so I could park right inside the grounds and could avoid causing any trouble for the other campers as I arrived quite late. I also really appreciated the individual bath houses over the traditional multi person houses.

Super friendly and very helpful staff. Good communication before we arrived to help negotiate the snowy and icy surroundings. Pulled right in with no problems. Was encouraged to use the hot showers!! Will likely have this as a favorite winter stop as we head south from WI each year. Thanks so much.

It was pretty cold and the campground had a lot of ice to navigate and some snow. We got a call ahead from the owners with directions on best methods to navigate it all safely. We’ve used this campground 3 times on our way down south and highly recommend.

Very friendly staff. Campground is well kept. Convenient overnight stop off I57. We stop here every trip south from Wisconsin and back home.

This KOA was a perfect halfway stopping point for our roadtrip East. The cabin was clean and simple, perfect for our family of 4 + dog. We enjoyed the stay so much that we booked the same cabin on the way back West! Melissa from the front office was so kind and helped us modify our reservations due to Winter Storm Blair.

The sites were huge, the yards were the most spacious I’ve seen at a KOA, the sites were level, and everyone who worked there was so nice. This was our favorite KOA we’ve stayed at!

The camp host was terrific, the campground is pretty but it is way too close to the freeway for me. It was incredibly loud. I wasn’t able to sleep well due to the noise.

We have stayed here many times as it is convenient for starting or ending or journey as snowbirds. These stays are always just a short overnight for us and we use minimal campground amenities. As such, the rates here have become too steep for what we get. And this stay,we were even charged an additional $10 for the night because we had 2 people, apparently $10 per person over the base rate for 1!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Our guide, despite being in a Grinch costume, was as cheerful as could be. One of the hosts came by after dark to let us know out tow vehicle had a light on so we wouldn’t be surprised by a dead battery. Noticed him cruising the park several times checking on guests.

Fantastic. Someone there to Check you in, and lead you to your spot after a 7 hour driving day. Plenty of eating/drinking opportunities 5 minutes into town. Nice Pool. Would stay here again, coming through.

Benton KOA Journey is an easy overnight stop just off I-57. Since we were already familiar with the campground layout, we called ahead to ask if we could go directly to our site on the opposite side of the road from the office and check in afterward. The staff gladly accommodated our request. We stayed in Deluxe Full-Hookup Pull-Through Patio Site 65, which made it easy to center our 40-foot fifth wheel on the utilities. The site was slightly off level, but we did not need to use blocks. The gravel patio featured a huge wheelchair-accessible picnic table, fire pit with cooking grate, stand-up charcoal grill, wooden swing, and bench. We received one bar on Verizon and two bars on T-Mobile. There are mature trees around the seven pull-through sites across the road from the main campground, but Starlink should work in most of them if you're able to position the dish around the trees. For this overnight stay, we used our T-Mobile Home Internet, which averaged 358 Mbps download and 2.7 Mbps upload. The campground Wi-Fi was adequate for light browsing. A fenced dog park was conveniently located near our site, and being across the road from the main campground helped reduce interstate noise. Overall, this is a clean, well-run KOA with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, and a good overnight stop returning to our home base in southern Illinois to rest and dump tanks.

Easy access off Hwy 57 great rates quite sites near pond Great people Jasmine was especially efficient over the phone and even provided escort services to site on late arrival. Very welcoming and strong Internet clean sites beautiful!
