Built in the Late Victorian architectural style, the Territorial Courthouse was completed in June 1882. This building features a second-story courtroom where the flag from the USS Utah, which sank during the attack on Pearl Harbor, is on display. Also displayed are re-created judges' chambers, court recorders' and sheriff's offices, and several 19th-century items.Be sure to check out the new jail off the back of the courthouse as well as the original jail in the basement which was in use through 1976. One second-grader commented, “I would hate to go to that jail, it's scary.” The building was also built with a tower equipped with a striking clock facing all four directions. This unique clock is one of only two such clocks in the country, the other is located in the Smithsonian museum. Browse through history in the best museum in Southern Utah. • Three Creeks Reservoir: Located just 2 miles east of downtown Beaver via UT-153. It is a popular, easily accessible local spot stocked with rainbow and cutthroat trout.
  
• Mink Lake: Roughly 18 miles up Beaver Canyon on UT-153. A scenic, high-elevation alpine lake perfect for a quiet day of casting.
  
• Kents Lake: Located about 20 miles east of Beaver on UT-153. A beautiful, forested reservoir managed by the Fishlake National Forest that provides excellent trout fishing.

HOW THE GREAT OUTDOOR BEAVER MEETING BEGAN: Some FIFTY Years Ago, a small group of Alcoholics, pooling their resources, made a pre-arranged overnight stop in a small Utah town on their way to the 1975 International Convention in Denver, Colorado. They found the people in town so accommodating and friendly and the natural beauty and atmosphere of the surrounding area so inviting, they decided to return the following year to camp and Share with one another over the Labor Day Weekend. This tradition has continued over the years and the magic of that first overnight stop is still happening every Labor Day Weekend in Beautiful BEAVER, UTAH!!
