Reasons for rating 4 versus 5: we were put in a spot by a private dog run (even though I indicated on reservation no pets), the trash bins were exposed and outside the otherwise protected area, so every time we entered or exited our spot, we were faced with nasty garbage bins, and, we were startled and saddened by the closure of the Crest Bar & Grill. Positive: Staff throughout park were great.

Staff was very friendly and attentive as usual. Disappointed the Crest Bar & Grill is closing as we and several of our friends have used it through the years. We were in site 134 and had to step through the mud to get in and out of our coach. Overall, the property was well maintained.

The park generally was very clean. Our spot had a bad oder to it. We have a converted cargo trailer camper. The city of Bakersfield has a rule that they do not allow cargo conversions to camp in their city. This is ridiculous, I repeat ridiculous!!! My cargo trailer conversion is built far superior to a conventional travel trailer. My conversion is totally safe! It looks great and not junky at all

Nice having a guide take us to our spot & giuding us as we parked to pull in and get perfect alignment near the connections. Like the connection hooks for hanging cable and hoses. >>>Really loved the Crest restaurant, <<< it had great food and plenty of seating.The servers were really nice and polite.

Pleasant campground. K-9 Corral is not nice. It’s a gravel alley between two buildings. At least it’s shaded. Sorry to hear about the Crest Grill closing. That was a real draw for us. Judging by the number of locals dropping by for a final visit, it was a great place for them as well. We’ll have to re-evaluate before our next stay in Bakersfield.

Great place to stay! Super great that they have a good restaurant! The wait staff were fantastic, cheery, a bright spot at the end of long day. The restaurant/bar sealed the deal. On the down side, the dog parks are too small for medium and large dogs.

Everything was perfect, except for when we checked in the young girl that was on the phone with someone who was trying to change the reservation made me stand in front of her for 15 to 20 minutes, never told the person on the phone if she could put them on hold so I could check inIt was very frustrating but other than that the service at the restaurant was amazing and the man in the golf cart that

We miss the breakfast. Still love the great food in the grill and bar. So nice to pull in tired and walk to the restaurant. They still need to water the lawns and trim the palms and trees.

Friendly staff. Good location. The campsite was clean and level, with some Grass and a tree. Picnic table ,too. Liked the fact that there is a bar and grill on site. Thanks!

We really loved the on-site bar and restuarant....the wings and burgers were awesome as well as the cocktails at reasonable prices...just wish I remembered the 10% off coupon I was given at checkin and it would have made it even better:) Service was a bit slow but understandale when it was really busy as even the locals came here.

Made reservations over the phone. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We were just here over night. Park is clean and maintained. It's a journey with a few long terms and a lot of people just stopping for the night like us.

Noticed the improvements done and love the extra long sites. Swimming pool area is clean and spotless. Staff is always friendly. Pet friendly and great restaurant and patio. We always stay here when we travel. Easy access to Hwy 99.

We stay because of the Crest restaurant. The grounds were over grown and looked awful. The weeds were now grass.overgrown onto driveway pads. It looked really unkept. The Crest restaurant was excellent.

They do enforce the quiet time so if your dogs have to go potty…. Clean up after yourself too. Was surprised to see so many ppl not cleaning up after their dogs. Gated and pretty quiet. Not what your typical KOA is like. Lots of bugs but then that’s California for you. Traffic could use some improvement outside the gates.

This is a well built and maintained inner city park. Check in was super easy and everything was clean. The spaces are great and large enough for our 38' Pusher.

Great place! Very friendly staff. LOVED dog fenced sites. Was disappointed with dog area/run. Would definitely stay again on my way through for a night or two. Felt safe in the rv park.

We called ahead to say that we would be arriving right at 6:30, which is the closing time for the campground store. We needed to get quarters so that we could do laundry. When we arrived (right at 6:30) we were meet with an ice-cold glare and a very unwelcoming "greeting". The staff pointed us towards to change machine in the already darkened store, and locked the store as soon as we exited.

This place is still amazing! Resort quality everything. Sorry, but the restaurant closed. We really loved the food! Still highly recommended.

Love it, Wonderful environment, great service. The little general store has almost everything you'd need at reasonable prices for a general store, nearby lots of food, stores, and just great area. Highly recommend will be back for sure! 😁
