Staff is super nice. High marks to the general manager and front office. This is our third time staying here. However I really dislike the new policy where pet owners have to break down and put away their pet fencing every day. We will likely stay at an RV park that is more pet friendly when we pass through Bakersfield next time. Glad other KOAs don't have this policy. We really like KOAs.

Smells bad. If you're exhausted and just need a place to park for the night, then it's ok, not great. Felt like there were a lot of full time live ins. I prefer it to not be like that

This is one of the best KOA we’ve stayed at. We have been traveling from Calif. to Texas and back. This KOA only charged $49.00 and has all the amenities you could want. Some other KOAs charged $60-$70 for unlevel sites in the dirt. the next time I have to travel south in Calif. I will be staying in Bakersfield KOA. It’s a perfect spot to plan a week long stay during the summer with family!

The website can be a bit confusing. I included in my reservations the 38 foot length of my RV, no pets, no trailer. Yet somehow I was booked near a pet pen in a 90 foot spot. After my phone call to clarify, I was graciously credited for a smaller spot. I was told that the website can be confusing and that I wasn’t the only person who had made this same mistake. Thanks again for your support!

Grounds are beautiful! Staff ate incredible. I had a medical emergency and staff made sure I could get to urgent care and walled my dog un till I returned. Love this camp!!!

We only stayed for 1 night. The site was large & clean. Employees were friendly. They have a restaurant/bar for lunch & dinner. Unfortunately they do not serve breakfast. We would stay again.

We have always really enjoyed this campground but this time they were very anti kid. I was told they didn’t want to give us a the spot we reserved because we had kids with us (13yr. & 10yr) in the end she went ahead and gave us the spot. We headed right to the spa one of the reasons we stayed here-but my kids were kicked out. I guess you changed the rules since the summer. Very disappointing.

We were looking forward to having dinner at the restaurant on site. It was closed. Then the koa was about 30% full yet they assigned a camper with 4 barking dogs right next to us!

After traveling from Florida to California for a move, finding this location for an overnight with the attached pet yard was an amazing break for our dogs. It was the first time in 2 weeks that they got to be off leash. The facilities were clean and the staff were extremely welcoming. We would highly recommend this site.

Love this place, but since the restaurant will be closing, I probably won’t be stopping the big advantage for me was the pull through so I didn’t have to unhook and I could walk and have dinner now. I probably have to stop at Harris Ranch and stay there and eat my dinner sad time.

This was our first time booking a patio paw pen. The only negative comment we have is dates and tree seed pods that fell from the trees that our dog wanted to eat. Next time we would definitely ask if all pens have them.

Clean bathrooms with nice showers. You need to open a window in the gym. Nice laundry. Can't see your sign when driving south on Wible due to trees. Disappointed that the restaurant closed. I think that a lack of marketing/branding and signage is what killed the restaurant. Disappointed that you don't fill propane. Had some problems but I need more space to describe all the problems I had here.

Such a beautiful place in the middle of a big city! Shower room is unique, private and very clean. One preference is for hand held showers. Sad to hear the food and bar closed.

I enjoyed the quite and the staff was great .the restaurant and cocktail lounge was great very friendly and the and evening after a long drive to stay over night and even a short or long drive a hot good meal and a cocktail or even coffee or tea would was great just before retiring

Reasons for rating 4 versus 5: we were put in a spot by a private dog run (even though I indicated on reservation no pets), the trash bins were exposed and outside the otherwise protected area, so every time we entered or exited our spot, we were faced with nasty garbage bins, and, we were startled and saddened by the closure of the Crest Bar & Grill. Positive: Staff throughout park were great.

Staff was very friendly and attentive as usual. Disappointed the Crest Bar & Grill is closing as we and several of our friends have used it through the years. We were in site 134 and had to step through the mud to get in and out of our coach. Overall, the property was well maintained.

The park generally was very clean. Our spot had a bad oder to it. We have a converted cargo trailer camper. The city of Bakersfield has a rule that they do not allow cargo conversions to camp in their city. This is ridiculous, I repeat ridiculous!!! My cargo trailer conversion is built far superior to a conventional travel trailer. My conversion is totally safe! It looks great and not junky at all

Nice having a guide take us to our spot & giuding us as we parked to pull in and get perfect alignment near the connections. Like the connection hooks for hanging cable and hoses. >>>Really loved the Crest restaurant, <<< it had great food and plenty of seating.The servers were really nice and polite.

Pleasant campground. K-9 Corral is not nice. It’s a gravel alley between two buildings. At least it’s shaded. Sorry to hear about the Crest Grill closing. That was a real draw for us. Judging by the number of locals dropping by for a final visit, it was a great place for them as well. We’ll have to re-evaluate before our next stay in Bakersfield.

This is a huge rv park. Lots of amenities. The laundry room is like its own laundromat & the best I've seen at a KOA. Nice office. If you go for a back-in site you'll have more shade. Most of the pull-throughs don't offer much shade. Hookups worked properly. Picnic table. Sites are an alright size. This was an overnight stop so not sure on what you'd do in the area. And this is Bakersfield lol. There's a gate so it feels safe.

First impressions, this place is gorgeous! Very clean, all the grass is green and mowed. No weeds, lots of trees for a little shade. The manager was very nice and professional. We felt very relaxed at this place. I wish I could have stayed longer than one night. Not all KOA's are this nice, this one is a Gem. I will probably book her again when I travel rhis way home.
