One of the nicest KOAs we've stayed in. Very clean. large bathrooms. Very nice staff and store. Lot's of activities. Convenient to sites. We'll be back if we're near here again.

Was a great stay but keeping children out of the jacuzzi was ignored by most parents. Staff is the best, keeping grounds clean and neat. Bathrooms are spotless and maintained. Movie night and pancake breakfast is a treat.

Tight spots and not enough control over rules. Suggest a dark skies policy at night. Campers next to me played loud music smoked cigars and were generally defiant over campground rules.

This is a wonderful campground, the staff are always friendly. This is our 3rd time staying within 2 years. Don't forgot, they have a farmers market less than a 5 minute walk right outside the campground, please check it out. There is a bike path that goes straight to the beach, walking, about 30 to 35 minute walk, bike, 10 to 15 minutes, they do having a dog friendly beach across the bridge

Everything was great except there were no mention of no wood burning or no availability of propane fire pits. This information would have been great to have pre-booking.

Our stay at KOA Avila/ Pismo Beach was amazing. They have a friendly staff. Greet us with kindness and very warm. The campground is very well maintained. The site is clean and perfect to have enough space for our family of 4. The campground also is very accessible to a lot of places, very convenient. I would recommend and come back next year!

It was nice. After a long day at the beach I went to go relax in the hot tub only to find 8-10kids in their splashing around along with there moms who clearly disregarded the sign. No kids under 14. Very dangerous place for a little ones while the mothers were drinking kids were running around. It was about eight to 9 o’clock at night. I was not able to relax my last night.please enforce rules!

It’s always great 1 thing to consider. On site 66 a fence between the walk way and site would be great. The open area to the park is one thing but privacy is needed between site and walk way.

We recently joined KOA and this was the first time we stayed at Avila Beach KOA and we were impressed. The KOA staff members were amazing and their dedication and hard work did not go unnoticed. The KOA RV Park and amenities were CLEAN!! The pride the staff members took in the campground and guest was impressive. We will be returning to this RV Park and highly recommending this KOA location.

Clean campground that has a great park and pool for kids. Right next to Avila Barn which is fun for the whole family and less than a 10 minute drive to the beach! We will be back for sure.

Our first time staying there. Nice park. Spots are tight. Nice amenities. No quiet hours which was hard. Our neighbors were loud and out until 3am.

We stayed for 4 days. The location was very clean, everyone was very helpful. The location was very close to the Bob Jones Trail which made it very easy to bike down to town. There is also a trolley stop close by for those that don't have a bike. All in all I would strongly recommend this KOA. We had a great time.

Staff is always happy and helpful. Facilities were well kept and clean. Pancake breakfast was convenient and tasty. Dog park is a great feature and the pups thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to staying again soon

The campers staying in site 40 were always putting their stuff on the sidewalk blocking foot traffic. Also their car alarm went off 4 times every night. Very inconsiderate campers.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und zu unserem Stellplatz begleitet. Leider stellte sich heraus, dass ein Nachbar gegenüber dauerhaft etwas lauter als akzeptabel Radio hörte. Er hielt sich auch so gut wie nie außerhalb auf, weshalb das Radio ohne Unterbrechung lief. Dies empfanden wir als störend, insbesondere gegen Abend. Tagsüber waren wir sowieso unterwegs am Pismo- und am Avila Beach

Clean well kept facilities. The staff is helpful and very friendly. The little store if fairly priced and has last minute necessities. Love this place! The bike trail super close to be able to ride to the coast without dealing with parking and then right across the street from the Avila barn with all kinds of goodies.

Everyone who works there was incredibly nice, friendly and helpful. The pool was great and we loved exploring the farm nearby. The spaces are small though and a bit of road noise but I would definitely come back and book one of the deluxe sites with more room next time.

Very pleasant stay. Even when the park was full it was not noisy or rowdy. Spaces are pretty close but doable. Very clean. Staff is very kind and helpful.

Enjoyed it very much. Loved being close to SLO and Pismo. The only drawback which you have no control over is the freeway noise. We will definitely be back!

This campground is clean and well maintained. It is close to 101 with easy access to Avila Beach, Pismo Beach and beyond. The store is amazing, and people very friendly and helpful. The spaces are narrow but well designed. We would absolutely come back.

Lisa was outstanding she truly shows world class service. You need to keep her whatever it takes. This should go to the CEO of KOA The park you can tell is very well managed. This is run like a 10plus park see you again.

A campsite without camping - all the right facilities but no camp fires no smoking around the campfire and no toasting of s’mores. The RV sites are very cramped together (smallest of more than 20 we have stayed at the past 7 weeks. TThe most “NOT ALLOWED SIGNS” FOR PARKING, SMOKING, NO PETS IN THIS AREA” Camping is about freedom, open cooking and enjoying a cigar in the open. Great Locati

The meat bees (yellowjacket wasps) swarmed so badly that we could not eat outside without constant harassment. Avila KOA should hang traps as other RV parks do in order to abate the bee problem. Also, KOA should work with the city of Pismo to somehow reduce the stench from the waste treatment plant. Almost every night around 9pm, the fumes would waft into the park creating a terrible stench.

The staff was friendly and courteous. The park was clean except for the occasional smell of sewer. The biggest problem we had was, we were unable to do any cooking, eating, gathering or talking outside because of the bees. Camping is supposed to be an outdoor activity, but was very limited because of the bees.

My friend booked two RV sites for us I was nervous at first seeing the reviews but they def changed management bc the staff couldn't be nicer. They gave our kids a bunch of free toys and were very accommodating. All facilities were spotless and the best of all the Pool (which was pretty big) and jacuzzi were both heated. We went in early Feb when it was cold and my boys are squeamish in cold water but the pool was warm enough for them even at night. Heated pools are huge for us. Super convenient to everything, 5 out of 5, we will be back for sure!

This is a good Koa RV Park. Location is good, it's quiet, the staff is friendly, and both Avila and Pismo Beach are nearby. A bit pricey. Why are people complaining about the freeway noise? We're in spot 81 backed up to Highway 101, and it's not noisy at all. This place is well run and a great place to stay.

We stay here once a year during Christmas time with family and extended family. The cabins are tiny little perfect getaways nothing special, but have all the amenities that you need. The area around has plenty room for kids to play, they have jungle gyms, and walking path for dogs. there is also the Bob Jones trail that you can walk or ride your bike or whatever you feel like all the way down into Avila. We will keep coming back here every year for Christmas.
