Nice campground! Close to the bathhouse! I would have liked to have cabin #2 with the couch and longer bench. I was told there was a microwave in the bathhouse-no microwave. There was a high wind/no burn warning, but I wasn't told about it, so I made a fire Tuesday night. Wednesday was really cold, and the heater in the room would not go warmer than about 58 degrees. I stayed under my covers.

Charged full extra night for late checkout, despite empty off-season campground. Seemed to cater to full-timers. The campground itself was adequate, the bathrooms were clean, but the inflexible checkout policy left a sour taste. Be aware that even with minimal occupancy, they enforce a strict checkout time and charge for any late departure.

I stay here often. I have family in Topeka and every time I travel I stay at Capitol CIty KOA. Super friendly and accommodating. Nice big spots and lots of fun things to do.

My stay here was more than pleasant, everything I needed was with in arms reach. Including a "Hello!" and honorable "Farwell!" from Miss Coco. Staff was very friendly and helpful during my entire stay. I'd highly recommend stopping by on your travels. I'd also recommend taking a look into the background of the barns travels in itself. An amazing story is posted for all to see in its hall of fame.

Checked in Late at night for one night stay. Instructions were very clear as to what I needed to do and the map included how to get into my selected site. I did not have reservations but all worked out well on payment and information. Facility was clean and after I checked out the staff called me to make sure all was well. I appreciated this facility and staff!

It was a wet stay at the campground. Mucky gravel roads and sites. Small laundry. No trash pickup. Ok for an overnight stay.

Beautiful grounds and quiet. Front office person was super nice. The cabin we were given smelled like dog and had dry dog poop on the front steps all over, so cleaning person needs to better. The kind person in the office upgraded us to a nicer cabin at no extra fee. But that cabin was very dusty too. Also dust on fan blades and dirty TV. Otherwise, nice cabin.

Ver kind and helpful camp managers. We had a battery problem and he let us use his battery charger. He also gave us contacts for RV repairs.

Severe Spider infestation in cabin. They were on ceiling, walls, the beds. We got there late, so there wasn’t much we could do. Had to stay somewhere else instead. Luckily the owner, Charlie, refunded the money, but not without being a complete dick about it and being extremely condescending. Worst KOA experience.

Horrible matress covered in plasic in the cabin with no ammenities. apparently the only ones pet friendly. Public showers for the cabin were clean, but left unlocked.

We have stayed at Capitol City KOA twice now and would stay again. They are great people and have a wonderful facility. The property is well maintained at all times.

I didn't love the 5 minute rock road to the place and then pot holes within the place. I had very little interaction the people but they were nice. I didn't find the site to be very level (off by 2" side to side) and the road noise was not too bad. I would avoid just because traveling east on Hwy 70 it's far off the highway ~ 8 miles but it was 1/2 the price of the KOA in Lawrence KS.

Beautiful Campground, the facilities are impeccably clean. Fantastic location . Easy access to the road ways . The staff are very friendly ! We will be back .

Very friendly staff. Campground and walking trail are great. Washrooms & showers were clean. Lots of hot water. It was very busy during our stay and we thought it would be noisy but it was not. All campers were very respectful with noise control. Would definitely stay again. Not much of a complaint but some of the shower heads in the mens' showers need upgrading.

Not the first time we had stayed here & won't be the last! Park is clean, well maintained, great bathhouse! Staff are Excellent! Easy to get to the Park or anything you need in Topeka!

we stayed at the cabin... bathroom (tub/shower) wasn't that cleaned from previously people... there was a soap and shave thing left in tub/shower) it's okay .. would be better but fun games in big barn. Kinda of disappoint about not that clean at cabin.

Very nice and helpful staff. Only stayed one night but worked well for our needs. They are in the midst of road construction on main route to camp, but will be nicer and easier once construction is finished. .

Nice long sites, great walking area and dog park. Good laundry, 2 areas. Road noise didn't affect us with windows closed. Would stay again.

We stayed in the deluxe cabin and had a fun time. The tent area is now more of a goose area. It's quiet even though it is close to the highway. All in all I enjoyed it.

We had a great stay! Charlie and his staff were very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend this spot if you're traveling along I-70.
