While it is not prime camping season the majority of the campers appeared to be full time residents/campers. When checked in we were told the spot to go to and given directions. Drove to the spot and there was someone there. This was eventually straightened out after back and forth.

It was the worse KOA I have ever stayed at. No one there to check in or greet. Dumpster far away for trash removal. Sites too close together in big rig section. Very hard to get to. Not convent at all.

Easy check in and getting to site. Only problem i would mention is the water hook up is right up against the pole. Little difficult for us with big hands. Other than that, nice and quiet. I'd definitely visit again if in area.

We arrived at night, our reservation information was at the building very easy to find. This was our second time to this KOA and it is always perfect stop for our cross country trips. Very popular, well kept, and we would definitely come again

Great staff. Everything was clean and well maintained. We stayed in a cabin for an overnight while traveling. Clean and comfortable.

Nice campground! Close to the bathhouse! I would have liked to have cabin #2 with the couch and longer bench. I was told there was a microwave in the bathhouse-no microwave. There was a high wind/no burn warning, but I wasn't told about it, so I made a fire Tuesday night. Wednesday was really cold, and the heater in the room would not go warmer than about 58 degrees. I stayed under my covers.

Charged full extra night for late checkout, despite empty off-season campground. Seemed to cater to full-timers. The campground itself was adequate, the bathrooms were clean, but the inflexible checkout policy left a sour taste. Be aware that even with minimal occupancy, they enforce a strict checkout time and charge for any late departure.

I stay here often. I have family in Topeka and every time I travel I stay at Capitol CIty KOA. Super friendly and accommodating. Nice big spots and lots of fun things to do.

My stay here was more than pleasant, everything I needed was with in arms reach. Including a "Hello!" and honorable "Farwell!" from Miss Coco. Staff was very friendly and helpful during my entire stay. I'd highly recommend stopping by on your travels. I'd also recommend taking a look into the background of the barns travels in itself. An amazing story is posted for all to see in its hall of fame.

Checked in Late at night for one night stay. Instructions were very clear as to what I needed to do and the map included how to get into my selected site. I did not have reservations but all worked out well on payment and information. Facility was clean and after I checked out the staff called me to make sure all was well. I appreciated this facility and staff!

It was a wet stay at the campground. Mucky gravel roads and sites. Small laundry. No trash pickup. Ok for an overnight stay.

Beautiful grounds and quiet. Front office person was super nice. The cabin we were given smelled like dog and had dry dog poop on the front steps all over, so cleaning person needs to better. The kind person in the office upgraded us to a nicer cabin at no extra fee. But that cabin was very dusty too. Also dust on fan blades and dirty TV. Otherwise, nice cabin.

Ver kind and helpful camp managers. We had a battery problem and he let us use his battery charger. He also gave us contacts for RV repairs.

Severe Spider infestation in cabin. They were on ceiling, walls, the beds. We got there late, so there wasn’t much we could do. Had to stay somewhere else instead. Luckily the owner, Charlie, refunded the money, but not without being a complete dick about it and being extremely condescending. Worst KOA experience.

Horrible matress covered in plasic in the cabin with no ammenities. apparently the only ones pet friendly. Public showers for the cabin were clean, but left unlocked.

We have stayed at Capitol City KOA twice now and would stay again. They are great people and have a wonderful facility. The property is well maintained at all times.

Stopped for a night on the way back home to WV. This was the nicest camp we stayed at from WV to Utah. The people inside were friendly. Grounds were well maintained. Nice clean showers. The only thing I would have changed was the shower head in the shower. It seemed to be more of a mist instead of a heavier shower of water but when you just need a nice hot shower, feels like Heaven either way. I loved all of the decorations and the farm feel of the whole place. I wish we could have stayed longer. My kids and I LOVED the pool! It was warmer water. Very clean and open until dark. My kids also loved catching frogs here. My oldest is frog crazy and he even brought one to show me in the shower! He was so excited! Thanks for being excellent hosts and I am writing this review so we can remember this place to stop next year on our way through again!
