We had an excellent weekend on ESVA! The pools were open which was greatly appreciated with the warm temperatures this weekend. The campground was well maintained, and our site was perfect (WV1)! The only thing that would make it better was if the campground had a dog park. It's always great to let them off leash and run out some of that energy. We highly recommend Tall Pines & we will be back.

The campground is maintained well! Trash was picked up, fire pits cleaned, we have no issues regarding the maint. of the park other than.. the mosquitos. They are bad .. really bad due to the standing water for drainage and runoff ponds. Bring lots of bug spray! The staff was quite friendly and store decent. Our other dings would be for the lack of cell service and distance from the main road.

I loved the place and all the amenities! The only thing I would suggest is that since there is so much standing water maybe fog more frequently if you are already fogging. The mesquite was a little more than I was expecting. Overall, loved the shop, bathrooms, pools, and beach fire pits was just the right touch!!!

I like this campground. We've been staying here since 2010, first as privately owned, then under Sun Outdoors, now as a KOA. I know prices have risen on everything, got that. What really frustrated me is the resort fee. This weekend had no activities, corn hole for an additional fee. What special activities did I pay for? Not sure if we're coming back

Very quiet weekend. Staff is very friendly. Our site escort told us if we needed anything, just let him know. He waved or said hi everytime he rode by our site. The site, beach and pool were all clean. The bridge connecting the beach to the road is broken and the sand wash out but I am assuming it was from the recent hurricane storm surge and just hasn't been fixed yet. Very nice stay.

Staff were so friendly and willing to answer any questions! Our cabin and the other amenities were clean and well taken care of. Service/Wifi is spotty, but gave us opportunity to really be present during the stay.

This was our first time camping at this location. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the view from our campsite. Lots to do in the areas as well. We will be back again.

We had a great time at this KOA There were a bunch of KOA sponsored events, the facilities were extremely clean, it had a great little food store and the grounds were very nice and large. I would like to give a direct shout out to the 2 women at the store who do check-in and help with other stuff. They were very friendly, helpful and fun to speak with. Thanks We recommend

I booked this campground by accident and turns out to be the best mistake, the campground was awesome. We have spent the last 3 years at Chincoteague Bay RV resort for an extended Labor Day weekend but have booked here for next year instead.

We had a great stay here! So much so that we extended our stay another 5 days through Labor Day weekend. Staff was great (especially Trey). Really appreciate the escort to our site. Sites are very nice- level, shaded and easy hook ups. Splash pad and pool are very nice. Bathhouse by pool is very nice. The older shower/toilet facility needs upgrades, as does WiFi. Will definitely stay here again.

Very pretty view. Very helpful staff. Grounds were a little cluttered. Internet was very poor. Camp store was sparsely stocked. But, it was near the end of season, so understandable. We will be back tho, if we can find a better rate.

The campground is fine. The cost to stay here is way to high for the normal camper. Could not get a good answer on why the extra $10.00 a day resort fee after the prices are already to high. The amount of signatures required at check in is crazy. After camping for 40 years I have never seen such a sign in. i used to come here a lot when it was Tall Pines but most likely won't come back.

Our stay was great. My only complaints would be that the DJ on the beach was a bit overly loud. We stayed towards the front of the campground and could still hear it loudly inside of our camper and that the WiFi was pretty much unusable even though it looked like we were near one of the antennas. Still a great stay overall and will definitely be back

The staff was extremely courteous. Guest check in seamless. The snack bar attendants were very helpful and a joy to talk with. The issue was the arcade. Apparently the maintenance guy was not children or people friendly. During normal operations it was closed! Due to children not closing the door. I was personally in there with door shut at the cool of the evening; if there was such a thing. HOT

Friendly staff, they took excellent care of us with a situation we had. The splash pool was a hit along with the bounce pillow. The pontoon boat or float party was also fun.

My reservations were lost due to switching from Sun to KOA. The ladies in the office worked to find and restore my reservations. The electric, water and sewer hooks ups are great. The sites were plenty big for our 40 foot, class 4 motorhome with 4 slides and our awning went out without hitting a tree. So nice.

We loved the amenities and the pontoon boat event.The bath houses were clean and arriving was seamless. However, workers were uptight. It seemed as though my camp was targeted after they learned that my youngest daughter was peeing outside in the night. Definitely something we do not condone however, the woman who approached us, was very rude and spoke down to us—shaming us. she’s a little gir

the bugs were bad ,got ate up,had a cabin with screen in proch it was still open were bugs could get in so we could not even seat on porch it was bad we will never go again. also there was nothing to do there.

Amenities and staff were excellent. Can’t say enough about them. Very accommodating. As new campers, we felt the cost was a bit much.

Had a very nice site with a nice view of the water. KOA staff very nice. Loved the DJ on the beach, great atmosphere and lots of fun. This campground has a lot of standing water, we had bug spray and were good. Super nice pools. The WiFi was non existent. In four days we had a connection for about one hour. Everything was great except the lack of WiFi.

Would have been a very nice place but the pontoon event was very obnoxious. Minicamp was very loud and there was no relaxation. The adult pool had no supervision to keep kids out and we couldn’t enjoy the pool because of kids jumping and splashing. Grounds were very nice and upkeep was good. I would stay again just not on event weekend

I have my 41' coach and 20' closed trailer. The size is not a problem. Plenty of room and things to do very clean iv been several times and plan to return..

We stayed at site RF8, which is right across from the comfort station and basically a grass field with hooks up. The site was $44 /night for electric and water hook ups. I did not mind the “grass field” at all. We had a family in a tent next to us, a couple traveling in an SUV with a bed in it on the other side, and another couple in a smaller class B. For the price we paid, it was perfect, and it's nice to see the diversity of campers. The showers, which are located in the comfort station, are very clean. The shower heads did suck but otherwise the water is hot and the cleanliness is a big plus. It's not a far walk to the water and the dog park. It was still cold during our visit (end of March) so the pool wasn't open and couldn't get in the water at the beach. I can imagine this place is very lively during the summer. I think they have a lot of “permanent” residents but they keep their sites cute and clean so you don't really notice it. I loved seeing all of the families out and about and the kids playing. It seemed like the residents adhere to the quiet hours cause it was very lively until about 10pm and then it seemed to be quiet after that… meaning I was able to sleep without a bunch of noise keeping me awake. Barbara at the front desk was sweet and the check-in and check-out process was easy. They tell you when you check in that the wifi is spotty and that is the full truth. The wifi is terrible. We are new to RVing so we don't have Starlink or anything yet so with the little bit of cell service we had we were about to stream to our tv. The park is kind of in the “sticks” so cell service is touch and go as well. Conclusion, the park is adorable, the comfort station is very clean, the water is beautiful, and we enjoyed how family oriented it is.

We did another overnight stay in the 500s sites. Large pull through, plenty of room for 45' + toad. Check in quick and efficient, staff is 5 stars. Only wish that the Wifi worked.
