Pools were closed more than open one pool was being repaired the other would close in middle of the day claiming to be putting chemicals in �Ϫ jump pillow would deflate when camp store closed at 4:00 no food cooked in cafe until wed thru sun �Ϫ fresh water pond is misleading not a pond for fishing just a body of standing water 2seperate areas of water standing causing bugs and horse flies !!

We have camped at Tall Pines many times over the years and thoroughly enjoyed our stay this weekend. The waterfront site was stunning, and the weekend events were well planned and fun to enjoy. The team at Tall Pines is amazing - always willing to offer assistance and with a smile. Thank you for a much-needed weekend escape that was relaxing and rejuvenating. We will definitely be back.

We had a short but great stay. Our plan is to return in August for a second trip. Staff are very nice, campground is clean. Wish the roads were paved, but that's mostly because we use e-bikes and the gravel is sometimes thick in areas. A golf cart is the way to go. Thank you for keeping Tall Pines KOA one of our favorite places to visit.

Booked under 2 weeks. Staff VERY accommodating and helpful to make late changes. The MOST Level site I have ever been to. Good 50A, FHU, water pressure and spacing in between sites. Too many amenities to list, but nicely stocked store, pool, events and many things for Kids. Highlight - Nice "Public beach area" to watch the sunset over Chesapeake Bay. Will DEFINITELY return & recommend to friends.

This campground is very close to the beach, and the restrooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained. The only downside is for campers using their own tents who need access to water and electricity. The tent camping area has zero tree cover, so you'll be exposed to direct sunlight for most of the day. If you enjoy warm summer weather and don't mind the heat, you'll definitely appreciate

We come to Tall Pines frequently! The staff is awesome and the campground is well maintained and great for kids! We were surprised that we had to take our trash this time. It used to be picked up previous years we stayed. Not a deal breaker by any means.

We stayed at Tall Pines Chesapeake Bay KOA in a travel trailer. Sites 200-500 are huge, shaded, pull-through sites. They are located close to the splash pad, zero-entry pool, jump pad, and playground. The kids had a nice time there. There is a snack bar in this area that is open Thursday-Saturday. We enjoyed our stay ,its out of the way and you have to go a ways to see things. Big noisy dogs near us owners did not try to keep them quite.

Very UNHAPPY with this KOA campground at of all the KOA’s I have stayed at this was the worse. No WiFi for 7 nights which is important when you need to stay in touch with family when you’re away. Without WiFi we had zero TV connection and further more they had NO cable to be able to connect to. The site was very nice. WiFi and cellular coverage were lacking. The time we visited the weather was descent. The Horse Flies were a little too friendly

The place was amazing, we will be back! Campground was clean and beautifully laid out, many amenities including trampoline, pool, and hammocks by the water. Bathrooms were very clean and updated. Lastly the people staying on the ground were very nice and welcoming . Ant wait for next time

We really enjoyed going to Tall Pines KOA Campground BUT we are very disappointed with the Wi-Fi signal. We pay prime dollar to stay at this campground… We stayed 12 days, and struggled with Wi-Fi every day. This needs to be a priority at the campground. I’m not sure whose responsibility whether it is KOA or Tall Pines Campground. The maintenance on the property is not a 10 like previously.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Flies were terrible (but somewhat expected this time of year). No cell service and wifi was extremely limited. One pool was down for maintenance which was a bit disappointing not to know that in advance. Snack bar was great. some improvements needed, but still a good experience.

the overall cleanliness was horrible. The toliet paper holder fell off the wall, the corner of the shower on the outside is brown in the creases and looks disgusting. The bathroom smells like a porter potty and the bath mat smells like musty rotten feet. 11pm my 9 year old son went to throw trash away and was told to turn the lights off on the porch. CRAZY!! This was ran better by Sun outdoors.

Our stay is always lovely. We got to enjoy the splash pad, family pool and beach. The pool by the splash pad was not open yet, which was a bummer but it all worked out and we made the best of what was available to us. As always the Hurricane Grill was open and serving the best food around. The office staff as always was welcoming and helpful in any way we needed.

The horrible WiFi was a huge issue! In 2026 reasonably functioning internet is a must. The bathroom by the snack bar is nice but the one by the rec center is not, buggy & dirty. The pool being closed for maintenance after Memorial Day seems poor planning. Quiet hour of 11pm is too late & many of the seasonal campers were very loud. And, the bugs (green head & house flies) were the last straw…

The campground is huge and beautiful on the bay. Sunset was lovely. We towed no car so being able to rent a golf cart was great. The office/store is only open till 5p and the horseflies and biting black flies were awful so be prepared.

Besides the pool being closed our stay was great. It would have been nice to know in advance that the pool was closed but we made due at the beach. Maybe mark the broken stumps at the beach high tide covers some of them and the big rocks.

We loved our stay, staff and grounds were excellent. However, in this day and age, no wifi service is not acceptable. I do not believe the campground can not do better with this issue.

Wonderful stay! Staff were fantastic as usual. One of our favorite campgrounds. We were sad to see the swings were gone on the waterfront sites as well as the bridge from the waterfront sites to the beach. Too bad you couldn’t just move the bridge, it was very convenient and a nice prop for photos, especially at sunset.

Had a nice stay at Tall Pines. Restroom/bath area and store facilities were great. Helpful and courteous staff. The main pool was closed off, but they had a 2nd one. The main tent camping sites are in a wooded area, but they don't provide hardly any shade. My only real complaint is the number of bugs, including biting horseflies, that made even walking the grounds fairly miserable. Bring spray!

The facilities were all very nice. It's early in the season One pool is closed for construction or maintenance but looks like it will be excellent once completed. We had a site in a shady pull thru area. The sites are all big easy in easy out gravel and level. The bad: ranger took his job way to serious he wasn’t making sure it was a safe fun vacation it was a push of power and no cell service at all. The good: NO cell service at all! The campground is very clean, quiet and peaceful. The sites are very spacious. I really enjoyed my stay and hope to come back once the pool is open.

This is one of the nicest KOA’s we’ve been to so far. There is a site to suit everyone, from waterfront to nestled in the pine trees. Kamp K-9 was in the shade, very nice! They have a playground, splash pool for the little ones and a regular pool for everyone else. They had activities planned for campers. The store is nice sized. It has camping needs, sundries & souvenirs. The staff very nice!

We would stay for longer if there was WIFI. As a result of our passing through every year we either stay at other parks or we stay for only a couple days instead of weeks.

Nice campground people very nice had a good stay. Says wifi is spotty! Not correct it did not work at all and very little cell service. Still a nice place to stay not being bothered by phone calls....

We have had such a great year at the campground! There have been so many positive improvements, and it has honestly just felt like a really great season all around. I am especially happy with our new General Manager, Amanda. She has been so approachable, kind, and communicative, and you can tell she truly wants to be present and involved. Whether she is checking in with campers, joining in on activities, helping her team, or simply being available when needed, her presence has made such a positive difference this year. The entire team has also been wonderful. From the office staff to maintenance and housekeeping, everyone is always so friendly and welcoming. You really feel like people care about the campground and about the families who spend their time here. And having the “Snack Shack” right on property is definitely an added bonus! This is our seventh year camping here, and this place holds so many special memories for our family. We have gotten to make memories year after year while raising our daughter here, and it truly feels like our home away from home. We are so excited for the rest of the season and are already talking about and planning for next year. So thankful for another great year, all of the positive changes, and the many memories still to come!

My favorite place I've traveled to, camped at or experienced. Very relaxing, very friendly people, very convenient. Everything you need in a vacation all in one area on the east coast. Pet friendly. Fun friendly. They have special events and everything. I've made this destination my home away from home and my annual birthday tradition. Like I went camping, in a tent, during a thunderstorm. Not only was I safe, but Mr Trey actually came and checked on us. Everyone was real neighborly. All the staff was friendly and cordial. But Mr Trey is super helpful and energetic. I do recommend.
