Stayed expecting July 4 fireworks but learned at check-in they were moved to 7/5. The mosquito infestation was unbearable despite bug spray. The "beach" was tiny, muddy, and swamp-like. Cabins were nice, but no grill, poor Wi-Fi, and no cell service made streaming impossible. The arcade was hot and run-down. Disappointing overall-we won't be back.

Campground needs to upgrade the wi-fi and cell service. It is very spotty. Overall a great stay. The cabins are very nice.

We enjoyed our stay but disappointed regarding the 4th of July fireworks. We chose this location because of the onsite fireworks but it was a far drive for us. Upon arrival, the front desk told me that the fireworks were occurring the day after the 4th, when we were checking out, because they did not book in time and because of the 250th year, everything was already booked.

It was the hottest weekend. I’m not sure why the tent sites are in the middle of an open field with no trees. Had we had some shade it would have been so much better. The “private beach” they refrerred to was brown water that I wouldn’t dare get in. The way it is promoted on the website and then what it actually is when you get there are 2 different things. Staff weren’t too friendly… fireworks for Fourth of July were not until July 5 when most people were checking out so we missed them and only booked here for the fireworks mainly.. pool was way overcrowded couldn’t even use them.. granted it was a heat wave and there was really nothing else to do. Staff was Amazing! Check in very organized. Doug & Trey moved our camper from storage to spot & were so patient with us 2 women who “supervised” camper placement. We had issues w/water hook up & Doug saved the day. Doug also checked in with us a few times see how we were doing because we were having camper issues. Facility was very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend KOA Tall Pines.

Staff was very helpful and courteous. Clean bath house and pools. Grounds were meticulously maintained while we were there for a week.

We had some trouble with a fuse and Doug was right there at our campground to help us... THANKYOU!! Not much wifi. Antennae didn't pick up anything...when granddaughter arrived -- no TV. ���� All was clean!! We sure missed the swing beside our Waterfront site. ��. Cabins need cleaning. Large cobwebs outside and some inside in the bathroom. We have stayed in these cabins several times and this was definitely the worst they have been.

Had a great time; my granddaughter loved the walk-in pool. The cabin was large enough for the three adults and four children. Would have liked to have been able to get some soft serve ice cream during the week. Also suggest you bring your own outdoor cooking utensils. Staff was nice and friendly. Text communications were great, not too many and only when we needed to know something.

Staff was great. Add a golf cart last minute before arriving not a problem, was delivered to campsite. Easy check in and out. Camp was very clean.

Our stay at Tall Pines KOA was great settled in the tall pines a long drive thru. All the comforts watching the various campers riding golf carts . We recommend this Koa has something for everyone a pool the beach jumping pad food service on weekends all the amenities

Beautiful and quiet. Pool was great. Clean. The only issue were the mosquitoes and bugs.

they advertise as a water view lot it was a view of the other campers not of the water most of the time, the lot was a muddy mess when we got there with holes in the yard. the previous owner sprayed daily for mosquitos whether or not there were any chemicals used at least he sprayed. they advertise wifi and when you get there it says spoty which means non existent. had it not been for our travelf

My one tiny "complaint" is the large playground in the center is a bit dangerous for the younger ones (but awesome for the bigger kids) and the toddler slide gets old for them quickly. We missed the wooden play areas for our toddler. Otherwise, love love love this place. The staff is wonderful, the activities/amenities are endless, and the sites are decently sized and well maintained.

Very nice staff. Our full service site was level with great shade from the tall pine trees. But we’re not likely to stay there again because of the no mobile phone connectivity (5G or LTE), awful wifi and no cable hookup. It is a very family friendly KOA with two pools and access to the Bay. Tall Pines is way off the highway, but still convenient to NASA Wallops Island and Chincoteague.

The staff were truly amazing. We have stayed at many KOAS and the staff has always been cordial but Tall Pines staff were genuinely nice and helpful from the Girls in the Office to the Gentleman who helped us with our kayaks. I am sorry to say I don’t remember their names but we stayed in C13 for our stay. Definitely will return just for them.

Had a vey nice time. Staff is great, polite and helpful. Bathroom vey clean. Only suggestion we have is definitely need mosquitoes are Terrible, need to spray the campground especially before and after rain.

We enjoyed our 2-night stay very much. We'll be staying for a longer time next year. The WV spots have a beautiful view of the Bay. The splash pool is a great amenity and we rented a kayak for a reasonable rate. Thumbs up all around!

Thank you to everyone for recommending bug spray! We came prepared, as well as using an outside fogger every morning helped tremendously! We still got bit some, but honestly, you are camping in the outdoors!!! The campground was very proactive when some heavy storms came thru, and that is the first time I have ever had enough warning to be prepared!!! Thank you Talk Pines!!! It was great!!

Everyone at the campground was great! I got a last minute cabin to replace my tent spot since it was raining, and it was perfect!

WiFi none. Store prices were robbery. Foodion milk at home. Is 2.25. You charged. 5.49. Same with water. Etc. I do not mind a profit on your part but horrible

We have stayed here before but were disappointed this last stay. Obviously, the KOA can’t control the weather. However, we were unaware we were in one of the worst flooding sites in the entire campground for our stay. For half of our stay we were basically in a flooded swamp and no other sites compared to how flooded ours was. We ended up leaving most days from not being able to enjoy our site.

Only stayed one night as we passed through the area. Super spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and thorough.

It was a wonderful stay. So quiet and relaxing. They planned good activities for the children too. The convenience of 2 pools also helps. I hope they are able to add a mini golf also!

The campground is very clean, the staff is very friendly, so much too do or do nothing at all. It was quiet and peaceful even with the campground being pretty full. This campground has been one of my favorite for years and will continue to be in years to come.

It was a great location to be able to visit attractions close by. The beach arrangement was not much to my liking and I was bummed about the pool situation. I did enjoy one pool and liked the possibility of the other being repaired to soon be open but I was leaving before it was finished. The WiFi at first was spotty but then it got better. The bath house I used was nice and clean.

We had a great time. We fished, swam on the beach and played in the pool, watched the movie. Got to ride the wagon. My grandkids got to help dig up the treasure. We got to relax and spend quality time with our family. Got to try the crabby tator tots. Delicious.

We have had such a great year at the campground! There have been so many positive improvements, and it has honestly just felt like a really great season all around. I am especially happy with our new General Manager, Amanda. She has been so approachable, kind, and communicative, and you can tell she truly wants to be present and involved. Whether she is checking in with campers, joining in on activities, helping her team, or simply being available when needed, her presence has made such a positive difference this year. The entire team has also been wonderful. From the office staff to maintenance and housekeeping, everyone is always so friendly and welcoming. You really feel like people care about the campground and about the families who spend their time here. And having the “Snack Shack” right on property is definitely an added bonus! This is our seventh year camping here, and this place holds so many special memories for our family. We have gotten to make memories year after year while raising our daughter here, and it truly feels like our home away from home. We are so excited for the rest of the season and are already talking about and planning for next year. So thankful for another great year, all of the positive changes, and the many memories still to come!

My favorite place I've traveled to, camped at or experienced. Very relaxing, very friendly people, very convenient. Everything you need in a vacation all in one area on the east coast. Pet friendly. Fun friendly. They have special events and everything. I've made this destination my home away from home and my annual birthday tradition. Like I went camping, in a tent, during a thunderstorm. Not only was I safe, but Mr Trey actually came and checked on us. Everyone was real neighborly. All the staff was friendly and cordial. But Mr Trey is super helpful and energetic. I do recommend.

We rented a cute little clean cabin for a couple of nights. Lots to keep young kids active and involved in the play and pool area.
