2 issues, rude kids at the small pool with no parents ages 10 - 12. Gate locked to the bonce area befire dusk. mosquitoes were bad.

** BE WARNED ** the mosquitoes are something from another world. Heed to prior reviews! I have never experienced such an infestation of mosquitoes that swarmed you. There is NO amount of bug spray that can save you from those demons. FIRST time we've ever left a stay at a campground and lost out on money! Its a shame the bugs are so bad because the campground is really neat and staff were kind.

We ultimately enjoyed our stay but felt confused and misled about what was available on site during the week. No activities for kids, no pool snack bar, no beach rentals and snack shack, and the restaurant that claims to be 'at tall pines' is actually a 5mile drive down the road, AND closed. No pillows in the cabins. For the price there should be more. Nature is great but get real WiFi for safety.

The pools and splash pad were very enjoyable. As was the little beach by the bay. The campsite was scenic and spacious, though we could hardly spend more than 15 minutes outside while at the campsite itself as the mosquitos and flies were vicious. Even layered in repellent we were getting bit constantly. They treated the grounds while we were there, but still seemed to be a big problem.

Way to hot had to check out early because we all woke up physical sick, everything got canceled power problems at the food place. Not a nice stay at all 1/10.

Love the camp grounds. I personally feel that the one pool should be an adult pool. While we were there 3 kids were in the pool unsupervised by their parents. The family was in the first tent house and parents left them unattended. Sad

We were disappointed with the WiFi during our stay. As a KOA campground, we expected a reliable level of connectivity, but the service was so poor that we couldn't even call the office over WiFi when we needed assistance. We understand that campground internet can vary, but dependable WiFi is a basic expectation for a KOA. We hope this is an area that will be improved for future guests.

The Campground, the layout, the space in the sites, the pools, and the amenities are all top-notch. However, the Wi-Fi and the cell signal are almost nonexistent. If it wasn’t for that, they would get a 10.

The campground store was centered around beach/souvenir. Mosquitoes were over powering making you stay inside.

We have been visiting this campground for 20 years. Mosquitos were the worst they have ever been on this stay. They did supposedly spray for them once while we were there, but that only works if they actually spray near the campsites.

Overall the stay was pretty good. A lot of money was paid for the cabin and could never get the WiFi working to watch TV, Plus having just a mattress on a piece of plywood. We didn't find out until we checked in that the WiFi was spotty. Had minor damage on bathroom door and we reported it to the office and they told us to send a picture to an email. We said that would be hard with spotty WiFi.

Pool had some extremely rude people - actually had some words - was shocked never had this happen at a camp ground before . Mosquitoes were horrible, never had this before. Staff was very friendly-

TV connection was nonexistent. Screen porch wasn’t really a screen porch. Huge gaps allowed every mosquito in. No inventory sheet for kitchen so we had no idea what we should have and no way to let them know what may have been missing.

Stay was nice but encountered low voltage at my site during heat of day. This is hard on electrical equipment such as ACs. 105 volts at times.

We enjoyed our site by the water, however what made our stay unpleasant was the heavy-set lady in the office at check-in. She would be blessed to learn some customer etiquette. I don't know if she is just rude or racist. She would not acknowledge my presence right in front of her for a least 5 minutes. I am a 20 year army veteran. I will never visit this place again. Thanks!

Had a great time. The cabin was fantastic and clean. Bed was semi comfortable. Wish the facility had a better cell service it that is the whole area not just the campground. Maybe KOA could convince Verizon/T-Mobile to place a tower to assist everyone in the area not just the campground. Overall great place to stay and play.

Wonderful stay. Only issue was cigarette butts on our site. My daughter had to pick them up because of her 2 year playing with trucks in yard. Very wonderful and peaceful trip.

We had a water front site which was beautiful but the grass was not cut, which caused lots of bugs and bug bites. There was a DJ on Saturday, great music and fun. Our recommendation would be to go during the week when seasonal campers are not there park was much quieter Sunday and Monday

Not Happy. Last year was told that over the winter you were working on drainage,WiFi and adding cable TV. Not that the rain was an issue for us ,but other sites were muddy and under water for others. It appears that all you did over the winter was clean all the junk out from behind the game room and move it up front in the big field. Also the beach area needs work. All washed out and blocked

Overall our stay was great! Being a very detailed person, I called & verified the beds in cabin 3 we rented. I was told there were two sets of bunk beds and a queen. We had people for each sleeping space bringing their own sheets. When we arrived it was actually a futon in the living room and ONE set of twin bunks and a queen. We had to shuffle our guests. We needed a broom. Otherwise - GREAT!!

Staff is great!!! Snack bar is great! But the old pool needs to be cleaned. Lots of piles of equipment in various areas of the campground make it look run down. Old picnic tables, etc. They need a pole building to store equipment in. The stumps and roots in the beach area should be addressed. Sad the campground was barely booked. The $80 in daily golf cart & amenity fees is absurd.

The mosqitoes are horrible lots have a lot of standing water. The rates are to high. No cell service or tv service. Restrooms were very clean.

We always enjoy our time at Tall Pines. The staff is very friendly and helpful if needed. The food at the snack bar was delicious with a lot of choices. We enjoyed the pool as well as the beach area, which my fur babies also loved. The fireworks display was amazing. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we extended our stay not once but twice. Highly recommend! Barb is wonderful, as is all the staff!

We stayed Thursday to Tuesday over 4th of July weekend. I was surprised how the place cleared out. Wondering if it may be a bit overpriced for the location this year. There's just not much to do without driving 30 minutes. Great for kayaking. Patio sites could use sprucing up. I miss the trash pickup. Fireworks on the 3rd beats the 5th. I liked 2/3 of the music DJ'd but would lower the volume.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was very nice and helpful. One of the recommendations we have is that there needs to be a basketball court lighted. We were disappointed that the snack bar wasn't open throughout the week, and there were no activities for the children throughout the week.

Our experience at the KOA was a great one! The only thing negative was the shower would not turn on, but the matter was addressed and fixed quickly. We are looking forward to come next year!

Beautiful place. However, the Wi-Fi was so spotty and frustrating. Yes, we needed a way to connect with what was happening in our home town. And the vicinity was further away from all the Civil War Sites than we anticipated. It was nice on Chesapeake Bay but very far from what we wanted to see.

Good stay but we didn’t know the 4th of July fireworks were going to be on Sunday instead of Saturday we always go just to see the fireworks. We paid holiday prices thinking we would see rhe fireworks show. I am hoping that someone will look into how much we paid.

We have had such a great year at the campground! There have been so many positive improvements, and it has honestly just felt like a really great season all around. I am especially happy with our new General Manager, Amanda. She has been so approachable, kind, and communicative, and you can tell she truly wants to be present and involved. Whether she is checking in with campers, joining in on activities, helping her team, or simply being available when needed, her presence has made such a positive difference this year. The entire team has also been wonderful. From the office staff to maintenance and housekeeping, everyone is always so friendly and welcoming. You really feel like people care about the campground and about the families who spend their time here. And having the “Snack Shack” right on property is definitely an added bonus! This is our seventh year camping here, and this place holds so many special memories for our family. We have gotten to make memories year after year while raising our daughter here, and it truly feels like our home away from home. We are so excited for the rest of the season and are already talking about and planning for next year. So thankful for another great year, all of the positive changes, and the many memories still to come!

My favorite place I've traveled to, camped at or experienced. Very relaxing, very friendly people, very convenient. Everything you need in a vacation all in one area on the east coast. Pet friendly. Fun friendly. They have special events and everything. I've made this destination my home away from home and my annual birthday tradition. Like I went camping, in a tent, during a thunderstorm. Not only was I safe, but Mr Trey actually came and checked on us. Everyone was real neighborly. All the staff was friendly and cordial. But Mr Trey is super helpful and energetic. I do recommend.

We rented a cute little clean cabin for a couple of nights. Lots to keep young kids active and involved in the play and pool area.
