Kids had a great time with the pool and playground only issue was with the amount of water from the storm took quite a while to drain.

We have always loved staying at Tall Pines. This visit not so much. Water standing everywhere. Mosquitos were terrible, from the standing water. We feel they are now charging for things they never did before. They need to put more gravel , in front of the cabins. Golf carts were not that great We had to replace 2 of them. In the kids pool, there were men drinking. Kids could barely in the pool.

5 star staff and amenities. 1 star mosquito problem. I love the KOA staff at Tall Pines -- warm and welcoming! The pool and splash pad are a big hit with the grandson! But...as we've visited in May June and now Jul/August the standing was has gotten worse and the mosquitoes at site 407 were insane. Please look into adding dirt or gravel to reduce the ponding at the sites.

Needed after hours help and the phone number they gave me only went to voicemail. Trash is not collected which is fine except the dumpster is a long walk from all campsites. A gate key return should be placed by the gate instead of having to take it up to the office. It’s inconvenient when you are pulling a big 5th wheel.

Honestly I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and have never seen it as not kept up since this last week. Nasty brown brackish water all over the place. No grass upkeep at the sites. Maintenance of the beaches is discouraged. I wasn’t happy with my stay this time. Koa is known for beautiful campgrounds and this unfortunately is not a good place at this time. Unfortunately, the park was very run-down. The grass wasn't cut, and there was very little for children to do since two older playgrounds were removed; nothing has replaced them. The morning events were not started on time due to "Doug" not answering his radio to help fill water for the activity. Honestly, the only good part of the weekend was the hospitality of the office staff (Barb and Tracey).

It rained while we were staying and it flooded our whole entire site under 6 inches of water. It took 2 whole days for it to dry up enough to even use the fire pit. We were unable to move to another site or rectified for the inconvenience. Not worth the money to stay.

Although the accommodation were spectacular and a 10 out of 10. Our stay was damped by mosquito infested water that didn't allow us to use the amenities as seen in the page.

Mosquitoes so bad you could not bare to go outside they never spray just shrugged shoulders when we left after 1 day on a 4 day trip

If someone is looking for a place to relax this would be a good option except the mosquitoes were so bad you couldn’t even enjoy time outside at your site. Our family found this campground boring and adding the mosquitoes we could not enjoy ourselves and ended up leaving a day early. Four out of 5 of the families received a credit because of leaving early when I inquired I was denied.

We took 3 of our grandchildren this past weekend. Plenty to keep them busy. A few more mosquitoes than I remembered last year, but still a great trip. I think maybe because of all the rain that you previously had and with flooding of the property, may have been the cause.

Amenities were awesome, location was great, the activities for families was awesome, but the mosquitoes were absolutely horrid! I feel this property has 0 management for mosquitoes. If I wanted to grow as many mosquitoes as possible I would do everything this property is doing. Tons of shallow fresh water laying on the property, 2 ponds with 0 filtration. It was absolutely miserable at dusk.

We love this campground, just keep coming back for more! The shaded large sights are our favorite. The kids activities are plentiful and engaging. And the soft serve from the cafe is an extra treat!!

It was a bit soggy due to the weather but we enjoyed our stay. Our sink had a slow leak but the support staff responded immediately and resolved the issue. We also had a vehicle issue on our last day and Doug helped us immediately. Going out of his way to make sure our trip home would be safe. We are very grateful to the team.

Nice place to stay. Very accommodating when our original spot had too much water from terrestrial downpours. We were able to a much better spot. Really nice people working in the office.

The mosquitoes were absolutely horrible but I don’t fault the campground for that due to the rain. The pool was not real clean and I feel like it would be helpful if the store could stay open a little later maybe to 7 or 8pm.

I know it wasn't their fault, but we had bad storms that flooded the campground. We were in several inches of water for most of our stay. Plus, we could barely go outside because the bugs were horrendous! Wifi was pitiful and so was tv reception and cell phone coverage. Pretty big issues when you have kids to entertain. Firepit totally under water. I think bugs would rate as the biggest problem.

While the campground is aesthetically beautiful, there are significant issues in wet weather. Our site was in the tall pines and we spent the first couple of days under water. Not small puddles, literally walking through inches of standing water to get out of our site. With that much water comes millions and millions of mosquitoes! The campground is basically built on a marsh.

All was good except that….it was really hot-the pool and kid pool was way too small. If you had a bigger pool…that’s everyone would not try and cram themselves into the kid pool…you got a campground of over 400 people trying to stay cool in the water…just way to small. The entertainment on Saturday nite ( 4th of July weekend) was horrible…that band totally sucked…would rather get

While I realize weather is beyond anyone's control, the issue of site flooding must be addressed. I am certain that drainage could be improved somehow. Also while a part of nature, the mosquitos are overwhelming and maybe a more aggressive spraying schedule might help? One more suggestion would be to improve the WiFi as connecting to elder family members is significantly important but impossible

Everything seemed different. Even some of the staff are not as friendly as previous years. For the money we paid, we at least expected to have trash removal. That is a service that is no longer provided. Among many others. The cost of our visit was considerably higher even with a discount. The campground seemed empty for the middle of July. We are disappointed with this visit.

I know it was raining pretty much the whole time we were there, but we have been camping for 30 years and stayed there before. The snack bar was not open the whole time (grandchildren would have enjoyed snowballs or something at the pool), nothing really for children to do as far as arts and crafts. They never sprayed for mosquitos. Just overall not sure we would go back. Cherrystone has more.

The stay was pretty much good. The bugs were terrible. On the night before we left,hot water stopped working in the arav. So we go to the public shower and the water wasn't getting warm. So we had to take cold showers. Be prepared to not have any cell signal. They had alot of activities and thungs to do just hard to enjoy when you are getting eaten alive by bugs.

Very relaxing place, large cabin, very nice people! My only notes (which I didn't take off stars for) are they should say you need to bring your own pillows (they just say linens) and make it clear there is absolutely no wifi by the cabins and the tiniest wifi everywhere else. I didn't need it but some people might.

We had a great stay! However, the website said that there were no linens but did not say that there were no pillows provided. The office was able to give us some which was very nice of them and we appreciated it. We do like to come prepared so it would have been helpful to note that on the website that there were no pillows provided. In addition, there was no wifi our cell service near our cabin.

Great Campground! Beautiful campsite in the towering pines. Staff was lovely. Only critique is the WiFi and Cell Phone coverage was almost non existent.

Grass was not cut and the mosquitoes were awful .. didn't spray until last night there but didn't come near our camper only band stand. Even the dogs had bites we stayed in 80% of our stay..

Tent campers placed in an open field with NO protection from the weather, in three inches of standing water? Bathroom lights are weird. The entire camp appeared to be flooded and we could not get out fast enough. It was just plain awful. Most of the activities closed: no pools, beach play or splash pad. I would not recommend for tents or rooftop tent campers.

** BE WARNED ** the mosquitoes are something from another world. Heed to prior reviews! I have never experienced such an infestation of mosquitoes that swarmed you. There is NO amount of bug spray that can save you from those demons. FIRST time we've ever left a stay at a campground and lost out on money! Its a shame the bugs are so bad because the campground is really neat and staff were kind.

We have had such a great year at the campground! There have been so many positive improvements, and it has honestly just felt like a really great season all around. I am especially happy with our new General Manager, Amanda. She has been so approachable, kind, and communicative, and you can tell she truly wants to be present and involved. Whether she is checking in with campers, joining in on activities, helping her team, or simply being available when needed, her presence has made such a positive difference this year. The entire team has also been wonderful. From the office staff to maintenance and housekeeping, everyone is always so friendly and welcoming. You really feel like people care about the campground and about the families who spend their time here. And having the “Snack Shack” right on property is definitely an added bonus! This is our seventh year camping here, and this place holds so many special memories for our family. We have gotten to make memories year after year while raising our daughter here, and it truly feels like our home away from home. We are so excited for the rest of the season and are already talking about and planning for next year. So thankful for another great year, all of the positive changes, and the many memories still to come!

My favorite place I've traveled to, camped at or experienced. Very relaxing, very friendly people, very convenient. Everything you need in a vacation all in one area on the east coast. Pet friendly. Fun friendly. They have special events and everything. I've made this destination my home away from home and my annual birthday tradition. Like I went camping, in a tent, during a thunderstorm. Not only was I safe, but Mr Trey actually came and checked on us. Everyone was real neighborly. All the staff was friendly and cordial. But Mr Trey is super helpful and energetic. I do recommend.

We rented a cute little clean cabin for a couple of nights. Lots to keep young kids active and involved in the play and pool area.
