Campground Reviews

We enjoy our seasonal site and the activities held on weekends. A single star was deducted for poor water drainage on sites, the boat ramp needing improvement, and the "bridge to nowhere" not being repaired or removed. We love the activities and staff.

I had a seasonal site & it was amazing!! Great season at KOA!

We were seasonal. Very expensive though and won't do it again. Mosquitos were unbearable even with lots and lots of personally purchased items to deter them. Internet was next to impossible with highest tier of starlink making it impossible to stay during the week without being able to work without internet.

We always enjoy our stay. The grounds are very well kept and the staff is very friendly. We come back every year with friends.

We had a really good time. The camper we rented was very. Nice. It was a good option for our first camping trip. We will def be back. My only complaint. The TVs are outdated and need to be smart tvs. So we could watch Netflix or anything else we want to steam at night. And the WiFi is very weak and not good or dependable. My GF had to wait 20 minutes at the gate cause of bad signal

Lovely campground. Liked the size and layout of the site. WV6. Grounds well kept, staff friendly. Only downside of this trip was the wind which cannot be controlled. Will be back

A late off season fall stay, loved the campground especially the size of the sites not just mine but all the sites as I walked around the grounds. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, can’t wait to come back in the early spring. Thank you!

It was nothing like when it was privately owned No swings on the waterfront. Overpriced. No concession stand. Would at least think they’d be open on the weekends. Golf cart price ridiculous. Barking dogs. View is still hard to beat… But just a little disappointed.

Staff was great, bathrooms and site where clean and the atmosphere was unbelievable. Tall Pines is my favorite place to camp.

Our stay was great overall. A little sketchy at our WV1 site on our second night there with the coastal flooding, but we secured our outdoor equipment and toughed it out. The water did come up over our concrete pad and patio, but just rinsed everything off with fresh water the next day and we were good. After that a beautiful weekend. Staff is great! Fix the bridge to nowhere!

This was our first visit to a KOA camping property and we're already looking forward to our next! We loved the amenities and activities available onsite well-suited for all family members, including our Bernadoodle. The location was also great for views of the water and nearby hiking trails. We are big fans of KOA!

We had a great stay in the deluxe cabin; however, I rated it as a "4" because the bed was small in the main. I thought it was a queen, but it was a full. The twins were not long enough. They would only meet the needs of smaller children. I do not think there is a resolution because there is no room, but I would stay there again. I just thought the description was misleading.

Grounds are well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful. I appreciate their honesty about the WiFi/cell situation, but it is definitely an inconvenience.

We stayed at site RF8, which is right across from the comfort station and basically a grass field with hooks up. The site was $44 /night for electric and water hook ups. I did not mind the “grass field” at all. We had a family in a tent next to us, a couple traveling in an SUV with a bed in it on the other side, and another couple in a smaller class B. For the price we paid, it was perfect, and it's nice to see the diversity of campers. The showers, which are located in the comfort station, are very clean. The shower heads did suck but otherwise the water is hot and the cleanliness is a big plus. It's not a far walk to the water and the dog park. It was still cold during our visit (end of March) so the pool wasn't open and couldn't get in the water at the beach. I can imagine this place is very lively during the summer. I think they have a lot of “permanent” residents but they keep their sites cute and clean so you don't really notice it. I loved seeing all of the families out and about and the kids playing. It seemed like the residents adhere to the quiet hours cause it was very lively until about 10pm and then it seemed to be quiet after that… meaning I was able to sleep without a bunch of noise keeping me awake. Barbara at the front desk was sweet and the check-in and check-out process was easy. They tell you when you check in that the wifi is spotty and that is the full truth. The wifi is terrible. We are new to RVing so we don't have Starlink or anything yet so with the little bit of cell service we had we were about to stream to our tv. The park is kind of in the “sticks” so cell service is touch and go as well. Conclusion, the park is adorable, the comfort station is very clean, the water is beautiful, and we enjoyed how family oriented it is.

We did another overnight stay in the 500s sites. Large pull through, plenty of room for 45' + toad. Check in quick and efficient, staff is 5 stars. Only wish that the Wifi worked.
