Very peaceful, beautiful by the waterfront. Staff was very courteous.

It was ok. Nice kiddie pool. Mosquitoes so bad which I realize you can’t control.

Staff was not friendly. “Extras” are only open on weekends. Only thing free was pool and jump pad. Did not explain things well, had difficulty figuring things out the first couple of days. Had a flood the week prior, was not notified. Bugs were terrible. The grounds were nice. Cottage was dirty when we arrived.

The campground was very clean and quiet. However, we stayed in a cabin and had zero cellphone and WiFi reception. We could not use either TV in the cabin because of the lack of WIFI. This left us isolated and in total silence while at our cabin. The store hours of 9-5 are inconvenient when check in for cabins is 3. That is only two hours. We would’ve been lost had we not just made it at 5.

Lost my wallet while riding my bike around the campground. It was never found or returned. Can't vouch for the honesty of the staff or other campers; but I was very disappointed it was not found and returned to me. Other than that, the staff was competent but not overly friendly. Probably will not go back again.

Instead of talking to you they talk about you. Maybe get details before escalating and lose a potential repeat customer, along with making a family feel unwanted and kids feel confused.

I cannot thank the Tall Pines KOA staff enough! Our truck broke down in the campground, resulting in us having to get the camper and the truck home (180 miles away!). The staff was very accommodating in helping us thru this stressful event allowing us the time to arrange towing. I have always enjoyed our stays at KOA, and this interaction only bolsterd my love for KOA and it's staff. Thank you!

No internet so no cell phone service. When it rained it flooded around the sites so everything was wet and muddy. The pool area is super small and more suited for little kids.

It would take way mor than 400 characters to say how nice this campground is! Barb and Cheryl in the office are amazing and made us feel so welcome. The staff is nice, and the campground and facilities are clean and well maintained. Fun opportunities for people of all ages, and nights were quiet and peaceful. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

We have always loved Tall Pines. Have been several times a year since 2017. This past weekend we noticed the overall maintenance was lacking. The grass on our site and our Friends was so tall, almost 3 ft. We had to get our trimmer out to cut it. The general landscaping looked unkept, especially at the front entrance. Check in was smooth & The staff was great though!!!

Had a great time. Stayed in the deluxe cabin which worked but we were told the bed sizes before we came and there was no double on the bunk bed so we didn't bring the right size sheets. When i called we were given the wrong cabin number too. Long lines at the store. Only 1 person working and that person was rude. Lots of mosquitoes so do not forget spray or you will get eaten alive.

Always friendly staff in the campground and behind the counter.

A wonderful campground! It’s got everything.. the perfect location along a Chesapeake Bay sound, two fishing docks, a small beach, two pools, and awesome arcade. We will definitely visit again!

Another great stay at the KOA! We are a family of 4 with two young children (3 and 6). We stayed in one of the cabins, which was plenty of space. The campground itself was very nice with a splash park, fishing pier, playground, beach, etc. We even caught some crabs off of the pier. The location of the grounds was also nice - bayside and not too far from Saxis, then 15-20 minutes to oceanside.

It was herbal the mosquitoes were bad the pools are small and alot of sites were flooded

Very relaxing!!!!!

WiFi was very spotty. Too many hidden fees. I was charged a default tax table and a Store Tax at several different % rates on multiple days. If this is standard practice for KOA campgrounds I will not be renewing my KOA membership and look for different camp grounds for future vacation stays.

had a nice time, beautiful campground, however site wv 16 got flooded out, with the heavy rain Wed July 15. I'm still booked to camp July 30 - Aug 1 looking forward to it.

Great amenities and very clean comfort stations.

Staff seemed friendly but our alternator went out on our car and we needed a charger so we could get it to the shop and was told they helped and we sat stranded not to mention acting like we were in the way for asking. The rental and snack shack weren't open at all during our stay. I know weekends they make more money but all amenities should be open all the time. When it rained just awful swamp

Grass was in spots above our knees. Never saw anyone w/weed whacker. Garbage was not picked up until after dark 1 day. In the past, grass was always cut & maintenance was always actively working. Office workers were friendly & provided excellent customer service. Lady w/long gray hair was distracting talking on radio while we were checking in & spoke abruptly/rudely to 1 employee in our presence.

The cabin was very clean when we came in. The only thing is the fridge needed to be defrosted. The freezer was frozen over.
Jul 16, 2025
They were more accommodating to my needs due to some weather issues
Jul 15, 2025
Disappointed when we first got to our site, the site was flooded as were nearby sites, but the office gave us an available site right on the water which was appreciated but I felt it was unnecessary to point out how much the new site cost to us. Quite frankly if a suitable wasn’t offered I would have left. We were surprised the the camp store closed so early.

It was a great experience

No internet, standing water everywhere mosquitoes and thousands of flys that bite. Could not use my site 6 out the 9 days because of flooding. The entire area behind the safari tents floods with muddy water. Adult pool is too small for the size of the campground! This was the first time I actually left early from a vacation! Anyone can email me [email protected] for more info and pictures!

We had no internet and were unable to make any kind of phone calls. When it rains it completely floods the sites, the mosquitos and flies were horrendous. And lastly the pools are very small
Jul 14, 2025
It had rained very hard just before we arrived so the place was flooded. We had to switch our site because it was flooded. I never seen any effort to eliminate the water by the staff. The internet sucked the entire stay. A dry site and decent internet isn't too much to ask for, for the prices you pay. There are a lot of nice amenities.
Jul 14, 2025
Need to do something about standing water
Jul 14, 2025
It was ok. Was disappointed that the snack shack wasn't open all week.

So here is the think I would have rated #1 an 8 and #2 an 4. However, Barbara who works at your front desk is not a nice person...racist in fact. She is your front line, first impression of Tall Pines and is a very poor representation. She was the talk at the pool party on 7/12 by many people of all races who recognized her behavior, including to me and my sister.

The amenities (splash pad, jumping pillow, playgrounds, pools) were fantastic; our kids had a blast. The cafe=amazing seafood! You should advertise that it's fresh and local. The bugs are a huge problem. Pls invest in fogging the place; it was miserable. I know it rained and that's out of your control but the entire place was underwater. Our site was unlivable for half of our trip. Thank you.
Jul 14, 2025
Sites were flooded even though you had other sites available still put us in flooded site full of water. I had to ask for another site that was dry. Wifi does not work.

The stay was amazing. This campground is exactly what we are looking for. I wish we had been at a different site but for our next visit (which is already booked!) We made sure to secure exactly which site we wanted. We love staying there.

Nice place but a lot of issues around maintenance.Stove kept shutting off when you tried to cook for longer than a few minutes. The bathroom door was broken and jammed. The WiFi called “spotty” is nonexistent. Don’t bother to try and watch tv since no cable only streaming & no WiFi. The tv in the bedroom was hooked up to nothing - decorative only. Beach was nice. Lots of standing water in
Jul 13, 2025
The main bathhouse wasn't as clean as normal and it was always hot i remember it being air-conditioned.
Jul 13, 2025
The sites were a decent size but the campground holds water. It actually flooded pretty bad during our stay. The flies were horrendous! But the worst part is they advertise a snack shack and Kayak rentals....maybe if you stay on the weekends. The new pool is nice but you can't get food unless its the weekend. Wifi? They tell you its spotty at best. First time there and likely the last too.

Loved our stay with TALL Pines. Always a great time. We would like to see the Internet make some improvements. Other than that great stay. As always!
Jul 13, 2025
It rained leading everything to flood, campsites surrounded by water and mud. Bugs outside and inside our cabin. You can’t swim in the water due to stinging nettle jelly fish. The new pool was nice. Cabin was dirty and things like door handles and flooring were falling apart. It’s very far away from anywhere to eat or shop even a grocery store is 15 minutes.

What a fantastic campground! The ladies at check in, the gentleman who escorted us to our spot, the people who pick up trash, the ones who case the grounds, etc were very courteous and professional. We were steps away from the sound and the campsite is beautiful! Thank you for a great stay! Feels like we’ll do it again. Tracy from NJ

Very disappointed this time. 1. Snack bar was closed Monday-Thursday and we were never told 2. Camp stores closed at 4ish 3. So much pooling water at the cabin 4. No water toys were available 5. Pool continue to have missing umbrellas 6. Stove in cabin only had a setting of 9 or 0 7. No list of included items in cabin prior to renting 8. No WIFI!! It’s 2025 and would be helpful

We stayed at site RF8, which is right across from the comfort station and basically a grass field with hooks up. The site was $44 /night for electric and water hook ups. I did not mind the “grass field” at all. We had a family in a tent next to us, a couple traveling in an SUV with a bed in it on the other side, and another couple in a smaller class B. For the price we paid, it was perfect, and it's nice to see the diversity of campers. The showers, which are located in the comfort station, are very clean. The shower heads did suck but otherwise the water is hot and the cleanliness is a big plus. It's not a far walk to the water and the dog park. It was still cold during our visit (end of March) so the pool wasn't open and couldn't get in the water at the beach. I can imagine this place is very lively during the summer. I think they have a lot of “permanent” residents but they keep their sites cute and clean so you don't really notice it. I loved seeing all of the families out and about and the kids playing. It seemed like the residents adhere to the quiet hours cause it was very lively until about 10pm and then it seemed to be quiet after that… meaning I was able to sleep without a bunch of noise keeping me awake. Barbara at the front desk was sweet and the check-in and check-out process was easy. They tell you when you check in that the wifi is spotty and that is the full truth. The wifi is terrible. We are new to RVing so we don't have Starlink or anything yet so with the little bit of cell service we had we were about to stream to our tv. The park is kind of in the “sticks” so cell service is touch and go as well. Conclusion, the park is adorable, the comfort station is very clean, the water is beautiful, and we enjoyed how family oriented it is.

We did another overnight stay in the 500s sites. Large pull through, plenty of room for 45' + toad. Check in quick and efficient, staff is 5 stars. Only wish that the Wifi worked.
