Day One: Arrive and Unwind
After a day of driving, we recommend relaxing and enjoying the campground and local neighborhood. You can take a dip at the pool, enjoy catch and release fishing at our lake, and walk to one of the many restaurants within 5 minutes of our park. After dinner, relax with a bottle of San Sebastian Wine, or make s’mores over the fire.
Day Two: Exploring the Historic District
Once you're settled in and refreshed from the road, it’s time to have some fun! Start your first full day with a delicious breakfast and coffee from the French Bakery located right across the road from our campground. Then it's time for the best way to see the town, the Old Town Trolley Tour. Get your tickets right at the campground, take the hourly shuttle right from our park, and enjoy a 22 stop hop-on-hop-off tour of Historic Downtown St. Augustine, telling you all about the city’s rich history.
When you're ready for lunch, head to Prohibition Kitchen for a delicious meal at a locally owned favorite
Day Three: The Must-Sees
Now that you’ve gotten the lay of the land, it’s time to explore St. Augustine’s most iconic attractions. You can start your day with a local grab and go breakfast at Schmagel's Bagels, or sit down for a full service breakfast at the Roosevelt Room.
From there walk to St. George Street, a pedestrian-only historic street filled with local shops, restaurants, and plenty of places to explore.
You’ll reach the Old City Gates and the Castillo De San Marcos, the old Spanish Fort open for tours as a national monument. The Castillo is perhaps the most iconic location in historic St. Augustine, and a must-see for any visitor.
Once you’re done exploring the fort, grab lunch at any of the dozens of local restaurants, and pop into the Lightner Museum for some much needed air conditioning.
The Lightner is located inside one of Henry Flagler's historic resort hotels, and features exhibits on Natural History, Antique Furniture, Paintings, and an incredible Ceramic collection.
Day Four: Make a splash
The magic of St. Augustine is that it merges fascinating history with coastal living. So day four it’s time to hit the water!
Relax at the campground pool, walk to the beach just 3/4th of a mile from our campground, or take one of the many boat tours available in St. Augustine. Our city offers scenic cruises of the intercostal, charter fishing boats, airboat tours of local swampland, and even pirate themed adventures for the whole family. Thrill seekers can try parasailing or rent a jet ski out on the intercostal.
For dinner with a water view, there is no shortage of options. We recommend Caps on the Water, The Reef, or St. Augustine Fish Camp for special occasions. An after dinner walk on the beach makes the perfect end to a perfect day.
Day Five: Anastasia Island
It’s almost time to go, but there is still so much fun to be had! For your last day in town, we recommend exploring beautiful Anastasia Island, where our campground is located. Climb to the Top of the Lighthouse for gorgeous views, or see every species of crocodile native to North America at the Alligator Farm. Farther South, walk among Oak Trees and check out the rose gardens at Washington Oaks State Park or take a ferry to Fort Matanzas, another historic Spanish Fort.
For an excellent seafood dinner close to the park, Sunset Grille is always a great choice, and Mayday Ice-cream makes the perfect after dinner treat both just 5 minutes away from our campground.
Check-out Day: Not Ready to Leave?
Finally, it's time for the saddest day of any trip; checkout.
