Campground Reviews

The attendant was very nice and helpful. He changed my spot to one that was closer to the bathroom as per my request. The bathrooms were the most updated bathrooms I have seen in my travels. Just make sure you bring your food and water with you! There is nothing really close by. Loved watching the deer cross the campground.

Conveniently located just off 281. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice entrance but RV sites are gravel and pasture full of sticker burrs. If traveling with pets be ready to get sticker burrs out of paws and fur. While campground has pet area it is full of sticker burrs. We stayed overnight in our motorhome and toad.

Quiet, well kept campground, with good sized, level pull through spaces. Very responsive onsite host, the campground is located in a great location, making it very convenient to enjoying all the attractions/towns of the area. Very close to Johnson City, Marble Falls, not far to Blanco, Burnet and Fredericksburg.

Let me start by saying the manager was very nice, and this is a new location. So the potential is there. First, expected a 50 amp site. Pulled in, not even a fuse in the box. Water connection leaking. Gravel sites with lots of stickers. Huge concrete barriers on each site, could cause serious damage to wheels. We have camped in a lot of places, and felt like this was not up to KOA standards.

RV full hook up pull through sites are super flat, level, wide and have curbs on either side. The bathhouse is new and clean with 4 individual unisex bathrooms. The dog park has a nice rod iron fencing. Beware little dogs can get through the railings. I would definitely stay here again. It is very quiet and off the highway about one half mile. Quiet rural setting in a creek.

Very quiet park with absolute basic amenities. Apparently it’s new to KOA. Only dog park, laundry, office and very clean bath/showers. Unpaved gravel roads and parking pads. Lay out & site numbering is odd. Be careful as GPS directions send you west, rather than east from hwy 281 on the road to thhe park.

Great location, just a short ride to Austin and Marble Falls. Peaceful, quiet with dark skies for star gazing.

Stayed for the weekend. Very quite, not busy. All faculties were very clean. Not far from johnson city.

The campground is very clean although several of the sites are inundated with weeds. The laundry and shower facilities were immaculate. It was nice having the security gate. It would be nice if all the sites had picnic tables. A review of the sewer drains is a must as several sites won’t drain. We would return again although the campground location doesn’t have a lot of nearby attractions.

Concrete deciders make it interesting to use sewer hookups, but otherwise very nice and quiet!!

It was nothing fancy, but it was clean and functional. Plenty of water pressure and the Internet was good.

The campground was large and sites are level and spacious. The host was very helpful and friendly. We used the laundry room which was very clean and new. The bath house looked brand new too. There is a dog run. Not too many trees yet, as the campground seemed to have been recently renovated.

This is a new, no frills KOA. Quiet, no planes, no trains, no traffic, no lights. It is back to nature and dark skies. Many KOA's are all about how many amenities they have. This one just has the basics. We had almost forgotten how refreshing that is.

We decided to leave a day early. Campground was clean , nice bathrooms and showers. Very basic lots of gravel and dust. Would be fine for an overnight stay. Gate was locked when we got there. We were not given the code prior to arrival. Had to wait for someone to walk from their rv to the office to open the gate. Stopped by the office to request a refund for the remaining night and it was closed.

Excellent

New campground looks like the potential for more amenities. Should be a KOA sign on main road. Didn’t see in the tiny print the gate code to get in. Called and they answered quickly. Will stay again !

The host was very nice. The area was great to visit johnson city and marvel falls. ( halfway between the too) the site was clean and level. Noise level was minimal from the highway about 1/2 mile away. Gated with access code required

We used the laundry facility, which was clean and well kept. Kim, the camp host, was friendly and welcoming. Nice, quiet park.

The countryside is awesome. The park was quiet and well kept. The park host, Mr. Hatch, was a great help and friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Overall our experience was good. Only challenge we had was the communication chain between the 1) People on the phone and email 2) Camp host and 3) us seemed to be broken. The sites we were instructed to use were occupied by a long-term resident, we were assigned a different site with no regard for what we had signed up for. I wanted a table and didn't get one. Reprimanded when I took one.

Loved our stay here! We were here for about 4 months over the winter and couldn't have asked for a better setup. Kim, the camp host, is awesome—super friendly, keeps everything clean, and is always around if you need help. Sites are gravel but level (easy setup), and having propane refill right there was super convenient and reasonably priced. Bathrooms and laundry are clean and well taken care of. There's even a small dog park, which is a nice touch. We always felt safe with the gated entry and Kim keeping an eye on things. It's a nice mix of long-term and short-term guests, and pricing is very fair—especially for an extended stay like ours. All the guests we met kept their sites clean and well maintained, and while the park is quiet, everyone is very friendly. It's also really convenient to the highway, but still quiet—best of both worlds. Only about 15 minutes to Marble Falls, which has all your general needs. Would definitely stay again!

My time here have been great, good facilities bathrooms and laundry. 10 to 15 minutes to marble falls about 15 minutes to Johnson city. For the location the stars are amazing at night only beat by heading further west.

Stayed there before, and loved it. Camp host even fed me Thanksgiving dinner. Couldn't find better people or a more beautiful place. ❤️
