Float the St. Francis River. As it flows through one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world, the river reveals stunning rock formations, hidden caves, and majestic bluffs. Unlike many other rivers in Missouri, the unspoiled beauty of St. Francis remains mostly untouched and uncrowded. Its slow-moving waters make it the perfect river for paddlers, Fishermen, and families looking for a peaceful adventure.
Golf carts are fun for the whole family and are the best way to experience the park. Rent one of ours for only $85/day Fri.-Sat. and $65/day Sun.-Thur.
Biking is one of the best ways to get outside and enjoy nature, We have over 11 miles of gravel roads throughout the park to ride your bike, Sam A. Baker State Park also has a paved bike trail perfect for those looking for a fun family outing. We are also located only about an hour away from Shepherd Mountain Bike Park in Ironton for those looking for a bit more excitement.
At Sam A. Baker/Otahki Lake KOA, fishing enthusiasts will find themselves in a true paradise. With 2 miles of riverfront along the meandering St. Francis River and a 23-acre lake, there are plentiful opportunities to cast your line and reel in some great catches. One of the highlights of Sam A. Baker/Otahki Lake KOA is Lake Otahki. This privately owned lake offers an incredible fishing experience, and the best part is that you don't need a Missouri fishing license to fish in it. In addition to the lake, we also offer 2 miles of picturesque riverfront. Along the river, you'll find two gravel bars that provide excellent spots for fishing. Please note that a fishing license is required to fish in the river, so make sure to obtain one before casting your line.
The Rec. Lodge is a great place for all your recreation fun. With free Wifi, a foosball table, ping-pong table, crafts, puzzles, and board games, it's perfect for all your rainy day fun.
We also rent out the Rec. Lodge for family reunions, weddings, birthday parties, and more. Just contact the front office for further details.
Ever wanted to try paddle boarding? Our 23-acre lake is the perfect place to practice! Once you feel confidant with your ability, try and take it on the river or even take it on a float trip!
