RV Reviews

Excellent overnight stay. Nestled in mature Spruce trees, just a short distance from the Interstate. Just need to follow the signs.

It was fine and was a convenient for my trip. The leaves made it hard to see where the road was through the campground. The recycling plant next-door is really a detriment though. It was very noisy all day long and a little scary driving by it to get to the campground. Randolph was very helpful and friendly. The only reason I gave it a 4 not a five because of the recycling.

Traveling Thanksgiving week is tricky, but, Meridian KOA took great care of me and my old Dog.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Holidays are always busy for everyone. We do our best to try to make them easier for you.

When we checked in, there was the potential for strong storms overnight. They instructed us where to go if we felt uncomfortable. It was very reassuring. Bathrooms/showers were great.

The campground is located off the beaten path back behind a junkyard. The grounds themselves are pretty. The staff were accommodating.

Quick overnight stay on our way to final destination. Easy access from hwy, clean and quiet. Met my needs.

Too short. Need to come back and stay longer.

Each time we travel to and from Texas, we stop at this campground for the night. The staff is very nice, the campground neat. The office communicates well with campers, sending messages when office opens, closes and if there are any issues in the park. Campers also get messages with directions to campground. Good facility.

Perfect little campground! It was tucked away in the woods and felt very safe! Will absolutely stay here again when we come back through!

A good stop mid country on HWY I-20. We have stayed here twice after a 400 mile drive day. It's convenient yet well off the xway. Although there is a rather noisy wrecking yard next door, the nights are quiet and good for sleep. Our site was old badly broken concrete, hopefully on the list for replacement. Very pleasant desk and there's a Love's station at the exit.

Not easy to get to after dark. Dark roads lacking good marking. Almost missed the last turn onto the KOA road. Only there for an overnight stay for which it served it’s purpose, but the park needs work. Office was closed upon arrival and we left before it opened, so there was no interaction with the staff. If my future travels have me looking for an overnight in the area, we will stay there

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I am sorry to hear you had trouble getting to us. We do have 3 road signs in the 1.5 miles to our campground. We are located on KOA Campground rd and that road sign is clearly marked. Our winter hours are 9-5. We have those posted on our website, your confirmation email, and in your welcome texts.
Nov 13, 2023
We were in spot 3, which slanted to the right. Since our slide out is on the driver’s side we were not even close to level.
Nov 12, 2023
We only stayed 2 nights and found this KOA very clean and nice. The only problem was the weather did not cooperate. We would definitely stay here again.

Warm greeting from campground staff. Clean roomy showers. Outside kitchen sink was the cleanest one I’ve ever used. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

Very nice campground clean and quiet.

This the 5th KOA I have stayed in. I really liked the location - not close to the interstate or railroad. Obviously, there is an advantage to being close to these, however this one was off the beaten path. I was treated very nicely and the gal helped me find my lot. I've stayed in Billings, MT. My least favorite was in Memphis - noise from train and highway - ugh!

Beautiful location. Easy to acess of the interstate but far enough to not hear the traffic. Lots of trees. Attractive pool area. We stayed here three nights. Lots of room to walk our three puppies.

We have stayed overnight at this campground a number of times. We continue to come back as it is convenient, clean and the staff is friendly.

Easy check-in and friendly staff. Unfortunately all services that drew me to the KOA were closed when we arrived. Although I understand the time of year and time of day of our arrival, it should clearly be posted on the web when you close down the slide and that the pool and other amenities are only available during day hours. I had been looking forward to playing pool with my son that evening.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I am a bit confused to your negative review. Our website clearly states when the pool and slide are open. Our office hours are online, on your welcome email, and in the multiple texts you receive. A call or text to the office or to the after hours number on your map would have cleared the confusion.

It was only an overnight stay on the way home, but the staff was friendly and the sites had plenty of room. We had a pull thru site.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

GREAT KOA campground to end our 3 week Journey to the Grand Canyon! Rodney was a great host as he carefully took the time to go through every aspect of the campground! Very clean and very organized! Will definitely be staying again if our travels take us this way!

Very pleasant campground with a spacious campsite. Easily accessed from the interstate. The manager sent us an email with arrival specifics that were very helpful. Looking forward to staying here again sometime.

Great showers. The site were a little too close to each other. The host was pleasant. There is a salvage yard across the street, which was noisy at times.

It wasnt like we saw on video. We were on an unlevel site and more narrow site than we thought. And i dont think its right to charge people for arriving early. We did have a good night sleep being we were do tired. Thanks for our stay.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We have our check-in and check-out times in your confirmation email, texted to you, and on our website. We only charge if someone is over an hour early for check-in. Our staff has to have time to clean and maintain our sites.

It is very easy to drive your rig in this park. I have read some reviews where people talk about the drive into the part as being horrible. When you leave I 20, you drive down a county road. It is the typical width of a county road. So just slow down and it is no problem. We drive a 44' fifth wheel with a dually truck. Some sites have concrete (not in the best shape) and some have gravel pads. There are many trees but the park keeps them trim away from the roads. It was great to have shade. There is full hookup pull thru sites along with some back in sites. There are plenty of areas to walk your dogs along with a nice enclosed dog park. There are many activities for children – a large sandbox, pool, a water slide, playground, tether ball and a game room. This park is about 2 miles off I 20. It is very quiet. There are a few long timers but primary people stopping for one night Each night it is full and then empty by noon the next day. We were there for several months and paid $525 for the month. This included electricity. When we originally arrived, our plan was to stay one month to visit family. But due to some health issues with ourselves and our family, we ended up staying for over 6 months. The best part of this park is the staff. Each staff is friendly, welcoming and will do anything possible to make our staff so wonderful. The staff take meticulous care of the park including picking up daily all the cigarette butts that people think they can just leave on the ground. Due to their service, they get a lot of repeat customer visits.
