Another great experience at our favorite KOA!! Everything is very clean and well organized. The pool area is beautiful and so relaxing. Stop for the night or stay for a week, you will not regret it!!

When we got to our site there was an excessive amount of dog poop on the site from previous campers. Apparently sites are not checked after people leave.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for bringing that to our attention. The sites are checked and this will be brought up to our cleaning team. Our staff is available to help in anyway during your stay. You were actually an early arrival and had plenty of time to alert us to this oversight.

What a pleasant campground. Nestled in the woods, friendly staff, clean facilities, awesome swimming pool. While we were there, the managers daughters were at the pool keeping everyone smiling and laughing, doing painting crafts with the guests...just a solid fun and family atmosphere. 100% will be back again. Thank you guys and gals!!

The cabin that I stayed in was adequate. I was disappointed that the office/store didn't open until 10am on Friday morning. I had to leave the campground to go get a cup of coffee. Bathroom was a bit dated, but clean and well stocked.

Our summer hours are 10-6 and our winter hours are 9-5. We are a small campground with a small but efficient staff.

I like to use this KOA because it is central to some of my common destinations. I usually stay in my RV but on this trip I rented a cabin, I will not be doing that again. The cabin K-2 smelled very strong of urine and it had lots of mosquitoes or gnats in it, I got 4 bites as soon as I walked in. I had to go to Dollar General for Deet and air freshener just to be able to rest. Very disappointing

I am so sorry to hear of this. We would of gladly moved you to a different cabin. Unfortunately, as we are tucked in the woods we will have insects. We will address the odor in the cabin. Next time let us know sooner so we can address it during your stay.

We had another awesome stay! The slide on the weekends was so much fun! Their wi-fi was strong and the staff is so helpful. The bathrooms are clean and the pool is beautiful. What more could we need?! Also, do not let the scrap yard scare you, this place is a hidden gem.

MERIDIAN EAST/TOOMSUBA KOA IS ONE OF THE QUALITY CAMPGROUNDS THAT STILL EXIST. THE PARK IS VERY CLEAN, WELL MAINTAINED AND THE AMENITIES ARE EXTRAORDINARY. A FANTASTIC POOL AREA FOR GUESTS TO ENJOY. THE STAFF DOES A GREAT JOB AND HOPEFULLY THE PARK WILL BE MAINTAINED.

The slide should not cost extra

I understand that opinion. Let me explain, in order for the slide to pay for itself for the day we need to sell 10 bands. It rarely pays for itself. To make it free we could raise the site rates but I am sure that would not be appreciated.

This was my first KOA stay and I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed my site in the woods. Rodney was fabulous… from checking me in, to guiding me in my spot and even dinner recommendation.

This is my go to KOA campground when I travel from Louisiana to New York to see family. Everything is well maintained and the staff is so friendly. It is great talking to the owners when the opportunity arises.

This KOA Journey in Toomsuba is an absolute gem! Perfect if you are heading through I-20, absolutely beautiful sites, layout, and amazing pool!!! Very clean pool. In summer they have a sweet waterslide, with a classic snack shack poolside pavilion. The staff was top notch and just really made us feel at home and accommodated an extra spot for us with our additional moving truck and tow behind on our move across country. I could have stayed there for weeks! Gorgeous Mississippi forest tree canopy, level sites, and just a mile or so off the exit on 20 where there is a Loves right there to fill up back on your way to the road. Great beer selection too! Just all around one of the best KOAs out there. Thanks yall!
