This was a very nice place but it really needs to be updated. Bathrooms were clean but definitely needs so TLC. The office staff was very nice and accommodating.

Loved the KOA campground. The staff were nice. Our only concern was the narrow road to get to the campground. It was a bit tricky.

Facility was ok, would have been a lot better if they had cable! Nothing to do except play with my phone after hours

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Cable isn't available in our area. We always suggest that while camping you get out and enjoy nature, read a book, or meet your neighbors. The campground is peaceful and it is always a good idea to have a screen free evening.

Only passing through and staying just one night but we have stayed here and quite a few occasions during our comings and goings. Always pleasant and helpful at check-in, clean and quiet. our go to place when traveling in this area.

Quiet and relaxing tent site. Only downside was the site was between 2 cabins. But since they were unoccupied it didn't matter.

Site was perfect length for our motorhome and trailer. Easy to enter, level and exit. Unfortunately, no contact with staff since we arrived after 4pm. Also stayed at this location on July 29 and in 2019. Will stay again!

Another great experience at our favorite KOA!! Everything is very clean and well organized. The pool area is beautiful and so relaxing. Stop for the night or stay for a week, you will not regret it!!

When we got to our site there was an excessive amount of dog poop on the site from previous campers. Apparently sites are not checked after people leave.

Thank you for bringing that to our attention. The sites are checked and this will be brought up to our cleaning team. Our staff is available to help in anyway during your stay. You were actually an early arrival and had plenty of time to alert us to this oversight.

What a pleasant campground. Nestled in the woods, friendly staff, clean facilities, awesome swimming pool. While we were there, the managers daughters were at the pool keeping everyone smiling and laughing, doing painting crafts with the guests...just a solid fun and family atmosphere. 100% will be back again. Thank you guys and gals!!

The cabin that I stayed in was adequate. I was disappointed that the office/store didn't open until 10am on Friday morning. I had to leave the campground to go get a cup of coffee. Bathroom was a bit dated, but clean and well stocked.

Our summer hours are 10-6 and our winter hours are 9-5. We are a small campground with a small but efficient staff.

I like to use this KOA because it is central to some of my common destinations. I usually stay in my RV but on this trip I rented a cabin, I will not be doing that again. The cabin K-2 smelled very strong of urine and it had lots of mosquitoes or gnats in it, I got 4 bites as soon as I walked in. I had to go to Dollar General for Deet and air freshener just to be able to rest. Very disappointing

I am so sorry to hear of this. We would of gladly moved you to a different cabin. Unfortunately, as we are tucked in the woods we will have insects. We will address the odor in the cabin. Next time let us know sooner so we can address it during your stay.

It is very easy to drive your rig in this park. I have read some reviews where people talk about the drive into the part as being horrible. When you leave I 20, you drive down a county road. It is the typical width of a county road. So just slow down and it is no problem. We drive a 44' fifth wheel with a dually truck. Some sites have concrete (not in the best shape) and some have gravel pads. There are many trees but the park keeps them trim away from the roads. It was great to have shade. There is full hookup pull thru sites along with some back in sites. There are plenty of areas to walk your dogs along with a nice enclosed dog park. There are many activities for children – a large sandbox, pool, a water slide, playground, tether ball and a game room. This park is about 2 miles off I 20. It is very quiet. There are a few long timers but primary people stopping for one night Each night it is full and then empty by noon the next day. We were there for several months and paid $525 for the month. This included electricity. When we originally arrived, our plan was to stay one month to visit family. But due to some health issues with ourselves and our family, we ended up staying for over 6 months. The best part of this park is the staff. Each staff is friendly, welcoming and will do anything possible to make our staff so wonderful. The staff take meticulous care of the park including picking up daily all the cigarette butts that people think they can just leave on the ground. Due to their service, they get a lot of repeat customer visits.

We were really in a bind due to a closure at our next place to stay on a road trip, and they were wonderful to work with and were willing to help us out let minute! Perfect for a one night stay on a long haul drive!
