A powerful tribute to America's heroes is coming to Meridian, Mississippi! From April 23 through April 25, 2027, the East Mississippi Veterans Park will host America's Freedom Tribute, a moving opportunity to honor the brave men and women who have served our nation and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.This free, family-friendly event will feature two remarkable exhibits: the Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall and the Cost of Freedom Tribute.The Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall At 360 feet long and 8 feet tall, the Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall is an 80% scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.The wall honors more than 58,300 American service members who lost their lives during the Vietnam War. Visitors can walk alongside the memorial, search for the names of loved ones, and reflect on the extraordinary sacrifices made in service to our country. For veterans, military families, and anyone who appreciates our nation's history, this is an opportunity to experience one of America's most meaningful memorials without traveling to Washington, D.C.The Cost of Freedom TributeAccompanying the Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall is the Cost of Freedom Tribute, a collection of 17 educational exhibit panels documenting America's military history from World War I through the present day.Through photographs, historical accounts, casualty statistics, and the stories of fallen heroes, this exhibit helps visitors of all ages better understand the sacrifices that have protected our freedoms across generations. Together, these exhibits offer an unforgettable opportunity for remembrance, reflection, and education.The East Mississippi Veterans Park is located beside Meridian Regional Airport.
