Good for trailers and motor homes but would not recommend for tent campers, no shade, lack of privacy

It’s just too far away from the 1-20 interstate. We followed maps directions and it took us the long distance 91 miles. The blurb in the koa book does say that it is so far from the highway. We won’t be going back. Mineral Wells is a cute town.

We are sorry that your GPS took you on a longer route than you anticipated. But our campground has many highways that lead you directly to us from Fort Worth, Abilene & Weatherford. I am not sure where you were coming from but we could have helped you if you would have called us. Safe travels.

Despite the impact location for camping and relaxing (traffic is nearby), the host is perfect! All facilities are also well maintained and in perfect condition. And the Buffalo is also cute!

The best campground I've been at so far. This year and the very polite and helping, and they a bay all the rules. They also take care of the landscaping and mowing and keep their property an excellent condition.

We really enjoyed our stay at the this campground. The staff was helpful and pleasant to deal with. I appreciated the cement slab around the city water and sewer connections, which made hook-ups much more pleasant, especially after the heavy rains we had. The town of Breckenridge TX has some of the nicest people I have ever met. We will definitely be back.

I have been at this location now for One Full Year. In that time I have become very familiar with the staff and owners here. I can say their are all very customer orientated and supportive. Living near Lake Hubbard allows for the recreational aspects most places do not have. Breckenridge is not as crowded as other towns are. The live Buffalo is a feature here, I 110% recommend trying a stay here!

Couldn’t get into the restrooms for at least a 1/2 hour in the morning , don’t know why, we used the code given us but wouldn’t work so we just left !

I wish there was another lower level than journey. This place is mostly long term RV stays. The “lake” is just a pond with a HUGE algae problem. The “toys” for kids to play with are at least 10 years old & located on a small patio connected with the office. The sites are mostly dirt with a bit of gravel, no trees or shade We couldn’t find the Buffalo. This place needs an overhaul

My husband and I had an amazing stay at Breckenridge KOA! We spent a night in one of their arched cabins and it did not disappoint! Our cabin overlooked the pond, which was beautiful at sunset—such a romantic city getaway. Inside was cute and cozy, the bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious for two. It had all the amenities we needed and more! We’ll definitely stay here agai

We received a phone call from the office letting us know they were about to close and they explained where we could find our paperwork when we eventually arrived. The bathrooms were clean and the site was quiet. There is a little lake/pond for fishing and they rent fishing poles. For a one night stay, we had no issues.

Very quiet campground. We had a good nice night of rest. The lady at the office was very knowledgable and helpful with my reservations and took extra effort to apply my KOA rewards points for the night. The campground was well run and maintained by the staff.

I have been staying at Breckenridge/ Hubbard Creek, KOA. It’s awesome! So clean and quiet! Bathrooms/ Showers are nice and clean. The pond is so relaxing, also got to say good morning to Boudreaux (Live Buffalo on site) The staff is amazing!! KOA will always be my spot!

As Always the camp is kept clean and orderly. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Enjoy being here. Lake Hubbard is close by for water sports & fishing. Newly built cabins are available to rent too.

Very quiet stay need to re-pave the main entrance. Crystal was fantastic but they had a hard time using my debit card. Not sure why but it worked ok at the next campground

One of the few KOA's we've stayed at that has WI FI, Chrystal at the desk couldn't have been nicer. The Campground "Buffalo" couldn't have been a better surprise.

Camp is always clean and well cared for. All Staff member are friendly, caring and very loving towards my service dog. We have been here at this camp for 9 months now. Recommend this camp 110%.

Everyone there is super friendly and the best ever example of Texas Hospitality. Crystal especially went above and beyond. Oh and who can pass up a chance to meet a Bison who huffs at the UPS truck?! Amenities are clean and very accessible, pricing is very good. Def will stay again!

Nice place for a short stay. Need to upgrade their drainage. Had rain and had a lot of water draining through the park from the service station above it.

Clean, cozy and accommodating! Management went out of his way to take care of us after hours. Staff is very friendly. Was a wonderful stop in the great state of Texas! Highly recommend the cabin!

Stayed 1 night in our class 3 RV. Everything went fine. We saw the buffalo “Boudreaux” and his sidekick the pig. They are both fun to watch. Walked around the pond and watched a guy having fun fishing-catch & release. Bathrooms are nice and clean when entering the provided code hit the lock button after for opening. The WiFi is great. Customer service is excellent.

My sister and I stayed in one of the cabins over Labor Day weekend! It was clean, equipped with all the necessities and had a deck that looked out over the pond! It had a queen sized bed downstairs and a loft with two twin beds! Very comfortable and I highly recommend for an overnight stay or a mini vacation!
