RV Reviews

The location is perfect if you are meeting up with hikers of the Pacific Crest Trail. I saw reviews of people complaining about the trains. If you are going to stay not just here but anywhere near the river you will hear the trains. We had our air conditioning running most of the night so the noise really didn’t bother us. The campground is clean, and the staff is really helpful.

Park is beautiful and very well kept up. Trees are awesome! Close to train track so you better like trains passing through and blowing their horns. That said, we were in space 89 worst spot in the park. We scheduled in May. This spot is right next to bathrooms and office and overlooks pool and screaming kids and of course everyone is looking at you sitting outside trying to relax. Don camp in 89.

Beautiful spot. Perhaps one would need a slight mention of trains passing through park. While not at all annoying, we were startled when we heard that first train swoshing through. Pool was great,

Loved are stay there wife loves trains so the noise was music to her ears.

Busy but nice.

Great place, wonderful shady campsites. We would come back if in the area. Good location to explore the gorge from. There is a train track close by but it didn’t bother us- after the first couple times you don’t notice it!

Great friendly people at check in!!

We loved the campground amenities, however the constant train horn made it a rough night. I wish I had known how close to the tracks the site was prior to reserving.

The campground is great and the staff really friendly. The trains at night are really the only drawback.

Plesant staff and all of the hook up were in good working order.

Lovely place. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Loved it.

We stayed in spot 87. It was a little hard to get out of with a 32 foot trailer when we were leaving the turns are a little sharp, but we made it. The pool and hot tub was very nice. The bathrooms were clean. The laundry room was clean. Would’ve been nice if they would’ve had a quarter machine outside so we could get quarters at night other than that, it was a really nice day.

Very very expensive. Even though spaces available to spread out, parked us with 10 feet of a motorhome that ran air conditioner all night. And the train, about 30 feet away came every couple of hours.

Great location for accessing the beauty and history of the area. Very friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff. We even loved the train rolling through behind us!

Place is very tight, very crowded and noisy. The train sounds like it is goi g through the park. Thank heaven it was only one night. Very smoky also.

Perfect for us, we stay everytime we head to the Oregon Coast. The staff is friendly, prices in the shop are more than fair, the campgrounds are kept clean.

We are big fans of KOAs, from journeys to resorts we have always had a great experience. This camp ground is not that case. The staff was very dry and unfriendly, The camp sites were small, the train…. My goodness the train… I’ve stayed at KOAs that were near a train track, it wasn’t bad … this was not the case … we got 0 sleep, the trains went all night blowing their horns.

Easy to get around and not right on top of the neighbor. Very quiet and clean.

Beautiful and well maintained camp ground. The people were great. Only problems ease the trains, which we were warned about. I think the engineers know where campground is and blow their horn right there. Our TV cable picture was fuzzy but considering your in a gorge it was pretty good.

Very nice KOA. Well managed and clean. The sites are nice and roomy. One downfall would be not a lot of privacy to campers on either side. Some small hedges would be nice.

We had a few out of town guests stop by for the day and the camp hosts were very accommodating with parking since the overflow was full. We appreciated the flexibility we received so that we could visit with our guests while staying for 3 nights. Thank you KOA Cascade Locks!

The KOA is well run and the employees are very nice. The reason I gave 4 stars is because of the constant trains running right next to the park. They run at all hours.

the space we had was not very level

Nice place too many trains

We were there only overnight. Great site and campground. Very beautiful and love the trains!

Loved this koa. It felt like camping in the woods. When you we in town. Close to so many cool spots in Oregon and Washington. Staff were great. Everything was clean. The only downside was the train being so close, but after one or two times you don’t really notice.

We did not get requested site but enjoyed our stay. We were on site 75 and many people used it as a passage way to playground and bathrooms. Some even stopped and played our private corn hole set . Would like more privacy than that. Also would be great if hot tub opened earlier than 10am. We hot tub before kiting each day.

Beautiful area, lots of shade, large sites, close to many attractions. Great place

Very peaceful stay amongst the big trees
Jul 18, 2026
Staff and grounds are nice but the tree sap on my rig is a pain to remove. Didn’t mind the train at all.

We were looking for an overnight spot. They just happened to have 1 spot available. The check in was fast and easy. We were guided to our spot. They have all different types of camping spots from RV sites, tent sites and cabins on site as well. It’s in a very wooded area and the sites are kind of narrow but it was a park built in 1970. Nice park and staff! We’d stay again

Ok

We were somewhat disappointed in our stay. The garbage cans were overflowing, the previous guest left doggy poop bags ( full ) at our site, all things that could be fixed with a little attention to detail. Generally the site was roomy and flat so it was an easy set up and take down.

Very clean, friendly and outdoorsy campground.
Jul 17, 2026
Excellent for our purpose in every way except for the close proximity to freight trains and horns. Nice pool, showers, good laundry room, level clean pad and full hookup and nice people. Train horns not so much.

Camp sight was great. Clean friendly staff and a lot of local sights to keep busy with.
Jul 15, 2026
Nice friendly and quiet. Too much powdered dirt in campsite and dog park. Know you can't help the train but oh my goodness is it close!
Jul 15, 2026
Everyone was awesome. Friendly, helpful. I liked when they escorted to my site. Can't wait to return.

The campground was incredibly shady with trees everywhere. The staff was wonderfully friendly and unhelpful, and the showers were about the best designed and cleanest I’ve ever stayed in in the campground. Because of all the trees there was very little grass, so there was quite a bit of dust and the doggie area although Well fenced was very, very dirty. A few weeds and a lot of thick dirt.

We were in space 85 and we loved having all the shade. The camp staff was helpful and friendly. Having the train come by at different times of day and night added to the charm because I’m a train lover.
Jul 14, 2026
I was disappointed with the overall condition of this campground. Most sites are dirt with no vegetation, giving the campground an overused, appearance. Walkways are a trip hazard, restrooms closed 1-3 pm for cleaning which is the same time as check in. Kamp K-9 consists entirely of dirt and the individual in Site 1 is regulating camp activities but is not identified as campground staff.

Absolutely wonderful KOA to stay in with our camp trailer! Hosts were AMAZING. & the amenities as well as the store were such a blessing. The only thing we wished we did differently was bring earplugs for sleeping lol, the train makes a lot of noise!
