In 1965 the Angelina River was dammed which created the Largest Lake in Texas! Anglers come for World Class
Fishing Tournaments, Skiing, Water Sports, and Camping. In the 1800's the only people in the are were the Ayish Indians. Located in the middle of the Angelina National Forrest and the Sabine National Forrest, there are many opportunities for bird watching, wild life observations, and historical tour locations. The original location of the old grist mill is at the entry of the KOA office. To paddle down the historical Mill Creek is an amazing experience.
