A playground for the kids plus wide, grassy open areas for yard games, frisbee and running off energy. Picnic tables and fire rings on Premium sites make it easy to gather in the evening under wide Missouri skies – stargazing is excellent out here.
Two fenced, off-leash dog parks (one for small dogs, one for large dogs) where four-legged campers can stretch out after a day on the road, plus a raised dog wash station to clean up muddy paws before heading back to the RV. Leashes are required everywhere else in the park; please pick up after your pet.
Cast a line right on the campground. Our pond sits beside the Peaceful Pondside cabin and is a relaxing spot for kids and grown-ups to fish, watch the sunset or spot wildlife. Fishing in the pond is free and catch-and-release. Want more? A trail leads to fishing on the South Grand River, which runs just north of Archie. Bring your own gear (a Missouri fishing permit is required on the river).
Rent a golf cart at the office ($35 for 4 hours, $55 for 8 hours) and cruise the park, visit friends on other sites or haul gear to the bathhouse. Drivers must be 16+ with a valid license.
Grab a set of horseshoes and challenge your neighbors at our horseshoe pits. It is a classic campground game for all ages and a great way to meet the folks a few sites down.
There is usually something going on. Watch for pop-up BBQs and cookouts, adult poker nights, kids' crafts and build-a-bear days, a Super Bowl party in the winter and our pumpkin decorating contest every fall. Ask at the office or check the board for what is coming up during your stay.
That doesn't mean this area has to always be empty. When you start reviewing camping options, your history will display here to help compare sites and find the best stay. You will be able to share your stay information with friends or family and save it for a later time if you have a KOA Account.
Make checkout easy by booking all your reservations at once. Add your sites from different campgrounds into your shopping cart* and then choose checkout.
