we stayed for 2 nights on our way back to Florida following hurrican Ian. It's nice and quiet. The staff was very friendly. When we found we could leave a day earlier for home(power came back on) they graciously refunded us the extra day. So many campgrounds and RV places would not do this.

The sites are extremely spacious and the campground is the most beautiful and peaceful place we have visited! The staff were extremely accommodating and kind. We couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Great facility. Very well kept. Asweome amenities. Very close to Plains, GA, home of the 39th President Jimmy Carter. The hosts were exceptional. Super friendly and super helpful. Definitely we will go back.

We had planned to stay 2 nights while waiting out the Florida storm but we could get no TV programming so we left. No cable, no nothing! And trees blocking the dish. KOA's almost never have good tv reception and they never have cable.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry you were disappointed. Not sure why you were unable to get a satellite signal because many other guests did not have a problem and you were parked on the open air row. Where we are located in our county there is no cable available so that's just part of the joy of country solitude. Stay safe.

We stayed at Americus KOA to celebrate a family birthday and visit the area. The Americus KOA is a well maintained campground with great hosts, large campsites with easy in and out.

Campground and facilities were clean and well kept. Staff was friendly and professional. We were met and escorted to our site and taken to the office for check in. Check in was fast.

Easy access - Right on US-280 to President Carter boyhood home. Quick check-in. Level site. Easy setup. Clean bathhouse. Quick hot water. Close to several historic venues. Free frisbee & real golf. Paddleboats on pond.

Beautiful well keep grounds. Staff were extremely friendly and willing to help. Restrooms were very clean, golf was fun. Lots of other activities as well. Look forward to staying again in the fall!

People were very friendly. Laundry and showers were excellent. Could not be helped but gnats and bugs were awful, we couldn’t sit outside. My husband tried the golf course but still had same problem.

Outside of the gnats it was a great stay. I understand due to the extreme heat that the ponds are down. But still some good fishing. I would like to see them filled up and some of that algae gone

Land and staff were amazing but unfortunately the gnats were more than we could handle. Apparently others felt the same as everyone was in their campers/rv's for the entire day/evening. Its a shame because the park/land is amazing and offers so much beauty and activity but the gnats were literally swarming you every time you opened your camper/rv.

No issues other than the big one, gnats! We’ve been on the road since April. This was the worst. You couldn’t go outside w/o being overwhelmed by the little critters. The campground otherwise was great.

We almost always stop here on our travels north and south. It's like coming home. Friendly helpful staff, and spacious sites. And it's a fun place to throw a frisbee! Someday we'd like an extended stay here.

This is a great place for those who enjoy golfing and disc golf. We got there too late to rent paddle boats. There’s a community fire pit, small work out room with an elliptical and treadmill. Showers were clean. The bugs ate us alive non-stop, which made the small walks almost unbearable.

The people were fabulous. They made me feel very welcome, and gave me some great ideas for exploring the local area. The grounds were well kept, and level. The only detractors were the incessant gnats (which I know the people can’t do anything about), and lack of Cable TV or useable WiFi.

All good except Men’s restroom was in need of repair. Broken tile that could be dangerous. Also, some sort of effort to plant shade trees which could someday provide relief from the summer sun. Placement of office and store is very inconvenient.

Beautiful campground; well kept and spacious. John and Judy were so friendly, too! Rated it lower because the bugs (gnats and moths) were unbearable. Got in our truck and rode all the way to Florida with us dying out on our dashboard. Maybe a another time of the year would make the difference.

Park was very clean and personnel were very helpful and accommodating. This was our 3rd time at this KOA and it gets better with each stay. This time they were improving the roads. Downside of this stay was the gnats. Not the parks fault but we couldn’t go outside without being swarmed by gnats. Most RV’rs were staying indoors just as we did.

Great. Very friendly. Need to spray camping areas for knats. You can't be outside without being surrounded and bring them into your camper with you.

I have been in many different campgrounds during my time working in the construction field. I would rather Americus KOA at the top of the list. Staff was always courteous and understanding of schedule being extended. Campground was always well maintained and quiet. Would like to Thank Staff once again.

Our son was having problems with the breaker tripping, he moved lots, still tripping. We called her and she told us it wasn’t her breaker, it was the camper. We opened the panel up and took a picture of it and all the wires were burnt. She didn’t want to see the picture, refused to move him again, refused to get an Electrican, and refused them a 30/50 adapter to use. So we left with them elsew

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We did all we could for you. The breaker tripped and we replaced it twice. It tripped again so we moved you to another site. And it tripped. We gave you an adapter to use and advised you to get a repairman to look at your camper. We had no other issues in the park. Your camper has a problem.

It was a nice campground. Quite, nice spaces and friendly people. However the gnats were a major problem, they were worse there then at any of the cities or attractions we went to in the area.

We camped here the month of February. Really enjoyed daily golfing, acquiring new friends and super friendly staff. The course is a little rough in the winter but becomes a lot friendlier as it greens up. Plenty of water & sand challenges and never had an issue getting on the course. With Americus within a 10 minute drive it was convenient for groceries and supplies.
