The people were fabulous. They made me feel very welcome, and gave me some great ideas for exploring the local area. The grounds were well kept, and level. The only detractors were the incessant gnats (which I know the people can’t do anything about), and lack of Cable TV or useable WiFi.

All good except Men’s restroom was in need of repair. Broken tile that could be dangerous. Also, some sort of effort to plant shade trees which could someday provide relief from the summer sun. Placement of office and store is very inconvenient.

Beautiful campground; well kept and spacious. John and Judy were so friendly, too! Rated it lower because the bugs (gnats and moths) were unbearable. Got in our truck and rode all the way to Florida with us dying out on our dashboard. Maybe a another time of the year would make the difference.

The tent site was nice but wish we could have set up more then one tent. Lots of bugs but we know that is not under anyone's control. Frisbee golf was cool but maybe rent a set of Frisbee not just one. The clubhouse was nice but very dirty and the upstairs a/c di not work. I would go again but sadly, alone.

Park was very clean and personnel were very helpful and accommodating. This was our 3rd time at this KOA and it gets better with each stay. This time they were improving the roads. Downside of this stay was the gnats. Not the parks fault but we couldn’t go outside without being swarmed by gnats. Most RV’rs were staying indoors just as we did.

Great. Very friendly. Need to spray camping areas for knats. You can't be outside without being surrounded and bring them into your camper with you.

I have been in many different campgrounds during my time working in the construction field. I would rather Americus KOA at the top of the list. Staff was always courteous and understanding of schedule being extended. Campground was always well maintained and quiet. Would like to Thank Staff once again.

Our son was having problems with the breaker tripping, he moved lots, still tripping. We called her and she told us it wasn’t her breaker, it was the camper. We opened the panel up and took a picture of it and all the wires were burnt. She didn’t want to see the picture, refused to move him again, refused to get an Electrican, and refused them a 30/50 adapter to use. So we left with them elsew

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We did all we could for you. The breaker tripped and we replaced it twice. It tripped again so we moved you to another site. And it tripped. We gave you an adapter to use and advised you to get a repairman to look at your camper. We had no other issues in the park. Your camper has a problem.

It was a nice campground. Quite, nice spaces and friendly people. However the gnats were a major problem, they were worse there then at any of the cities or attractions we went to in the area.

The Americus GA KOA campground is very well maintained and it can handle any size RV. It was the perfect home base for touring Andersonville POA Museum, Camp Sumter, Infantryman Museum and The Civil War Maritime Museum.

The park was clean and neat but 1 MAJOR draw back. They advertise WiFi .....and virtually have none. Many of us work from our campers and rely on good internet. We make our travel reservations based on this. Don't advertise WiFi....even to the point of giving a password at check in, and have poor connectivity. Very disappointing.

We are sorry you were not happy with the WiFi. During your three night stay I wish you had contacted the office to see if it could have been corrected since we were unaware and had no other complaints.

It was a very cozy campground and was close to many sites that had our interest. The campground staff was excellent and provided plenty of useful information. We would definitely come this way again!

Restful, spacious, great landscaping, hosts met us; wifi works; sewer ports nicely laid out n protected. Water feeds should have backflows n post support.

met by host and shown our site. he was very friendly and told us to call if any questions or problems. bathrooms were close by and very nice and clean and the showers had hot water. did not use laundry but laundry room clean and equipment was in like new condition. only problem we experienced was the gnats. they were everywhere! good reason virtually everyone at campground stayed inside.

Great visit to area. Americus KOA centrally located to Plains, Andersonville and Lake Blackshear. Good, clean, maintained campground. Spacious sites. Would stay here again. We have a 44ft Class A

The sites are spread apart. Staff was friendly and explained all the amenities. Very nice grounds.

We camped here the month of February. Really enjoyed daily golfing, acquiring new friends and super friendly staff. The course is a little rough in the winter but becomes a lot friendlier as it greens up. Plenty of water & sand challenges and never had an issue getting on the course. With Americus within a 10 minute drive it was convenient for groceries and supplies.
