Overpriced for this KOA. This campground is similar to a state campground with 2-3x the price. Even charges for a late checkout when there were half of the campgound with open sites.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We do offer for you to stay longer on your sites if there is no one coming in if you are totally unplugged and ready to hook up, as your your using utilities then. We offer that service to our guests but we need to know your unhooked. Thank you for staying with us.

Very clean campground. Restrooms and showers clean. Friendly staff. Large sites, able to choose full sun or shaded area. Would recommend and return.

We stayed in this KOA for two nights on our way up to Mackinac. We have a 30ft travel travel and stayed at a deluxe site that did not have a sewer hook up. This made no difference to the enjoyment of our stay though as the KOA is very new and the owner was very excited to help us and to make sure our stay was enjoyable. It was an excellent example of the KOA standards. We loved the campground.

Owners were very nice. They made sure our stay was pleasant from the time we arrived till we left. Our children loved the swimming pond and all the activities. Nice and clean bathrooms and showers. We already planned to have our Bigg family camping trip here next year

Labor Day weekend, a band was brought in on Saturday pm which was so loud that we had to close our camper door and windows, then turn the volume on our tv/movie way up just to hear it. Ruined our Saturday evening, could not sit by the fire or even read a book and we were at least 500' away. The roads could have been pre-treated to prevent all the dust as well.

Thank you for staying with us Randy. You were on a corner deluxe patio site which is very asked for as it does face the pond and our stage. We had it on our event schedule that we do have bands on our Holiday weekends, Our drives were pretty damp as we had just got a rain storm 4 days before.

We enjoyed the activities and the size of our lot. Would probably book a more private lot next time since our fire pit was located just a foot away from the camper’s backend from the lot behind us.

The sites are incredibly small!

Thank you Elizabeth for staying with us. You originally was booked a bigger site next to you where we parked you, but you moved over to the smaller site next to you. You were on tent sites if you want a rv site next time that will give you a bigger site.

The bathrooms were very clean. The campground itself was very clean, the staff was amazing. Our time was awesome. Wish they would’ve had more things to do for teenage type kids or like a corn hole tournament or a bigger basketball court. We definitely would come back though!

They have the nicest and cleanest bathrooms and showers I’ve ever seen for a campground. Owners were super nice!

Not a great experience No sewer Over priced Small lots Poor camp store Forced to purchase poor firewood at high costs

We do not have advertised that we have sewer sites, plus you was on a 44' pull thru lot which was plenty big enough for your 35' trailer As with everything these days our wood supplier has increased there prices and we have to pass that on as all businesses have.

The lady who checked me in was so very nice. Made the stay even more enjoyable. I love a warm friendly greeting when I arrive at a KOA. It stands out and I appreciate it. Sets the tone for my entire stay. Bathrooms were clean and showers were plentiful. This was an exceptionally quiet KOA. I’ve stayed in 11 KOA’s so far this month and this was among the best.

“Premium Tent site with grass pad” was not that at all. Very rocky and sandy. Wood that we had to purchase from them was all ends with bark and difficult to keep on fire. This is a nice, cute campground other than those items.

Thank you Andrea for staying with us. Our tent sites do have grass at the beginning of the season but as they get used and the hot weather, its hard to keep grass going on the sites. Our wood is kiln dried wood which is a superior product. If you had trouble starting we could of helped you.

I will not stay here again 1) not allowed to have a tent on our site. Women said it was a law we can not have a tent and camper however that is a flat lie. Ask the DNR and if it were a law then state parks would be violating it 2) can not bring own fire woods. Deforestation was years ago, almost all camp ground allow firewood. You do not simply so that you can make money off horrible wood.

There website states dogs are welcome but you have to go digging for it to say no dogs in the cabins. We stayed for 2 whole days and had our dog tied out at the cabin and walked him around with the workers going by our cabin seeing him and not saying anything! The last night we stayed they told us we couldn’t have him in there. The other three cabins are labeled no dogs except ours as well.

Just an overnight stay, and a great one st that. Nice, clean and well cared for family run campground. The owners were VERY nice and really made us feel welcome. I'd recommend them to everyone. Off the beaten path, and very quiet. It would be valuable to provide wifi since the cell signal is pretty weak. Great place.

Quaint little KOA with nice staff. The swimming pond is a bit misleading. Blue water with pond scum. Bath house is nice but only a few showers unlocked. Laundry not available, no washers or dryers there. Sign says will be there in July but we were there August. They have good ice cream and weekend entertainment we were told but we were there during the week. Still we’d stay here again.

I had a group of 6 families with a total of 4 camp sites. We all called with at least 4 weeks in advance to ensure all of our sites were next to each other.KOA ended up giving away two of our campsites.One of the families had to share campsites with a total stranger then moved the next day.The other family was given a site way further then moved near after having to have a conversation with owner.

We were a full campground this weekend and as stated on website site locations are not guartanteed. Your friends booked after you and with on line reservations they get first pick so we cannot control when sites will be taken. We put you all in a row as a service to you the best we could.

KOA overbooked their site.It had a negative impact to our experience! We had made reservations way in advance & some of our friends were given distant spots when we specifically reserved contiguous spots. Owner came to our site only offering us to share an unknown guest’s space. We asked compensation for the inconvenience. IGNORED! Well kept facilities; the other staff was friendly & attentive

We were a full campground but not over booked. Sites are given as called in, your friends booked after you and got the sites that was closest to you as we were full. We did get you all in a row as a service to you the best we could accomodate with what sites were left.

All staff were friendly and accommodating from check-in to departure. The weekend activities and crafts were an additional bonus to an already clean and well maintained campground. I would highly recommend staying here!

Staff is friendly. I feel a few trees that are in strategic locations should be removed to make backing in and out easier. Most sites are a bit smaller than I’d prefer. I think it’s over priced, especially when you consider it’s not a full hookup campground.

We had a really great site near the pond / playground area with a patio. The staff tried to make a fun weekend for the kids with lots of activities. Facilities are very clean.

We had wonderful people working at the campground, who made sure we were able to get our camper backed in and out safely. Very clean. We would stay there again.

I was placed on the wrong lot and nothing was really done about it so I just offered for them to put their tent on my site and they could use my Fire pit. They stayed there for one night and when I returned Saturday night, they were gone. I booked everything last minute since I was in town for a wedding but just wish something was done about having to share a site?!

We had a great time. The cabin we stayed at was clean, the bathrooms were clean and the whole campground was well taken care of.

We had to move several times to find a spot on our lot to level the motorhome without lifting tires off the ground. You need a couple tandem loads of fill to make he lot reasonable.

we put you in a 50 ap pull thru site as you requested for your 32' Motorhome. That was the only 50 amp site available and its a nice grassy site. We try to accomodate the campers in comparable sites if they are available. If our big rig sites up front were open we could of put you on one of those.
