Why Spend the Holidays in Houston (and at our KOA Holiday)?

Houston goes big for the holidays: giant parades, millions of Christmas lights, cultural celebrations, and New Year’s Eve fireworks that light up the skyline. Highlights around the city include:

  • H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade in Downtown Houston, one of the nation’s longest-running Thanksgiving parades, rolling through downtown with floats, bands, and giant balloons. Thursday, November 27, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m.
  • TXU Energy Presents Zoo Lights at the Houston Zoo, where the zoo transforms into a glowing winter wonderland from November 21, 2025, to January 4, 2026.
  • City Lights Downtown Holiday Magic, including the new “Astros Light Up the Park” village at Daikin Park, ice skating, and illuminated walk-through experiences from  November 22, 2025, to January 4, 2026.
