For camping closest to the beach, the salty charms of the bay will delight guests to our new KOA, an island campground with more than 400 RV Sites, Deluxe Cabins and Tent Sites spread across 200 shaded acres with views of the lighthouse on Assateague Island. On our campground, you can check out our themed weekends and family activities, chill out at the Soggy Dollar Tiki Bar, relax the day away at our pool, and connect with free Wi-Fi.
Around the island, you can explore the surrounding coastal town, beaches and bays. It's an easy walk or bike ride to antique shops, museums, parks, and art galleries; and a short drive to family attractions such as NASA's Wallops Flight Facility. Enjoy our local restaurants with the freshest island seafood and beautiful sunset views of Chincoteague Bay. Our KOA is just minutes from the entrance to Assateague Island National Seashore, famous for its long strands of undeveloped sandy beaches and the wild horses that roam here.
