The area surrounding our DuBois/Treasure Lake KOA Holiday is a treasure trove for birding. Treasure Lake and Bimini Lake entice water-based birds such as Canada Goose, Common Loon, Tundra Swan and Wood Duck to rest on their surface. Bald Eagles regularly inhabit this area and their nests can be seen close by. Just stand outside for a while and you will hear the drum of woodpeckers. As I drove into the Treasure Lake community today, I saw two adult geese with several chicks following them around at the pond by the front gate. Bring your binoculars and explore to see how many birds from this list you can find. https://ebird.org/hotspot/L2802510/bird-list
That doesn't mean this area has to always be empty. When you start reviewing camping options, your history will display here to help compare sites and find the best stay. You will be able to share your stay information with friends or family and save it for a later time if you have a KOA Account.
