"A great place to Kamp--all year 'round!"

Meet Your Hosts

Open All Year

For sure, this is the perfect KOA to base your holiday from. Whether you stay for one night or a year, KOA Spartanburg NE/Gaffney offers an enormous variety of things to do and see. Great activities, shopping, and site seeing are literally, only minutes away - but in less than an hour you can be in the mountains too!

Our campground is located in the beautiful upstate region surrounded by farms and green rolling hills. The area is offers history, arts, crafts, food, nature, and family fun.

Visit Cowpens National Battlefield, site of the pivotal battle of the American Revolution, as well as King's Mountain Military Park. If you like to eat (now there's a statement), there are many vendors for peaches, jellies, jams, ciders, and other goodies. (Spartanburg County had over 3 million peach trees and today is the second largest peach-producing area. A quarter of all the peaches in the United States are produced here.)

About an hour from this KOA you can visit the famous Asheville Farmers Market and The Biltmore. The quaint town of Saluda is about 35 minutes away. In about ten minutes you can be walking the lovely main street of Cowpens eating ice cream and buying inexpensive antiques and collectibles - or just hang out at the campground. We offer a pool, wi-fi, game room, mini-golf, trails, and importantly, peace and quiet.

The Spartanburg NE/Gaffney KOA campground has easy on-off access to I-85, and we're on the direct route from Atlanta, GA to Charlotte, NC. Our long pull-thru sites with 50-amp availability make us truly "Big-Rig" friendly.

Steve and Sara Jewell are the new owners of the Spartanburg NE/Gaffney KOA. They recently owned and operated the award winning Fayetteville KOA in Fayetteville, North Carolina that boasted cleanliness, safety, fun, and great "Kamping". Their new Spartanburg/Gaffney KOA will also please the "Kamping" crowd with squeaky clean facilities, grounds, and lots of fun things to do! Swim,(in season) play miniature golf, walk though the woods, play on the playground or shop the outlet mall or flea markets, plus lots of history in the area. KOA Spartanburg/Gaffney is the "BEST" place to be! Sara just published a children's Christmas book. A Christmas Dinosaur with Yellow Eyes is available at the campground store or at: www.achristmasdinosaur.com for Ebooks go on line to Amazon.com.

A Christmas Dinosaur written by KOA owner, Sara Jewell A Christmas Dinosaur with Yellow Eyes is an unusual young person's Christmas story. The past meets the present as a young shepherd visits his new friend of the future and recounts the events around Jesus’ birth. A toy dinosaur adds a twist… Authored by Sara Jewell co-owner of this campground! It retails for $11.95. It is published by CrossBooks , a division of LifeWay. Go to www.achristmasdinosaur.com For e-book go to Amazon A glimpse: The last person young Josh expects to visit him on Christmas Eve is an orphaned shepherd boy who mysteriously appears in his bedroom. He tells Josh about the best story ever—the very first Christmas! The young shepherd weaves a fascinating story about the glory of the angels who announced Jesus’ birth and the poor shepherds who went to find the Savior in a cave-like stable. However, the wondrous story of Christmas dissolves the next morning when Josh finds himself hopelessly lost in a blizzard. Amazingly, a little plastic dinosaur, the only present Josh got last year for Christmas, helps rescue him.

Dog Park Guests Dog lovers! We have a wonderful dog park and some great walking trails through the woods for our canine friends and their owners. Enjoy walking the grounds and stopping by to see Chico and Pepper playing in the owner's yard.

New Club House! Okay, ralliers (is there such a word?)--anyway for Rallies, clubs, and special events we now have a clubhouse with kitchen, bathroom, tv viewing area and lots of tables and chairs for dining and entertaining. Come check us out. We are open year round and have GREAT sites for large or small rigs. No rig? We have cabins and lodges. Spartanburg NE/Gaffney KOA is a fabulous place to join all your friends for fun time you won't forget. Let us help you make wonderful memories!
