Relax along the peaceful, private lake, then hop on the free weekend wagonride tour of the 377-acre, privately owned Oakland Plantation.

Situated on the grounds of a real antebellum plantation, there's no mistaking you're in Carolina Lowcountry when you camp at this KOA. Enjoy a free wagon ride tour of the 377-acre, privately owned Oakland Plantation (the plantation boasts the oldest known house in Mt. Pleasant). Take a walk along the 1.5 mile nature trail, just relax, rent a boat, or fish the 30-acre lake. Explore historic Charleston and all it has to offer, including all the attractions on Meeting Street, spectacular plantations and the Fort Sumter Visitor Education Center (take the ferry to Fort Sumter National Monument in Charleston Harbor). Visit nearby beaches or one of 35 area golf courses. Walk next door to Blackbeard's Cove Family Fun Park and enjoy 36 holes of adventure mini golf or go for a spin on the go-karts. Call ahead to reserve the lakefront Kamping Kaboose. Kids love it! Camping Cabins and Deluxe Cabins are also available. Pets are always welcome. GPS Lat. N 32 52' 5" Long. W 79 46' 52"

Badge of Honor

KOA Badge of Honor

The Badge of Honor has been earned by this KOA Campground for compassion and support of KOA Care Camps. This badge is given out following our Big Weekend, and is in effect for one year.

Someday, cancer will be nothing more than a memory. Until that day, KOA Care Camps are here to bring hope, joy, healing and fun to kids with cancer. Working together, KOA owners, the KOA home office and great KOA campers like you raise funds for a single cause: to send kids with cancer to medically supervised camps where they have a great time with other kids who understand what they're going through. They do it all while receiving the treatments they need, absolutely free of charge! Until cancer is a memory, KOA Care Camps will continue to help these sweet kids make terrific memories of their own.
