Tent Reviews

It was easy to reserve a site for my first time camping, and alone, online which made it very easy. The KOA in coatesville is very clean; the employees very helpful and frespectful. The site was private and close to the river. It was a very enjouable experience. I will return. Thank you :)

We come every year this time. Staff is always friendly. Camp store is very affordable. Pool was closed this year, which was a bummer but the creek provided a place to dip our feet.

Great amentities and friendly staff. Only downside was that we found the tent sites very small with undefined borders. We had 4 adults (2 tents) and rented 2 sites. Set up both tents on 1 site used the other for hanging out. Snoring from the guest on the site nest to the hang out site kept us awake.

This KOA is close to the train into Philly. It was the most expensive campground we stayed at at $47 for a tent sight with no services. There was a storm our first night and the rain quickly flooded our tent site and we ended up sleeping in our truck. We were not warned that this might be possible. Staff were not too concerned the next day either. Pool was nice. Area quiet.

We had a very bad experience, the site next to us had an all night drinking party with loud vulgar language. I was up until 2am due to the noise. The "quiet time" of 11pm was not enforced and neither was the "access for registered campers only" The partiers next to us (not campers) had 3 or 4 car loads of people come to there site until close to midnight.great vacility but awful experience!

It was our second year in a row and will continue to be.We have our favorite site and cannot wait till next summer.

Beautiful place, be sure to reserve a campsite next to the river!

Staff is WONDERFUL and helpful. Campground is always well kept and they have everything one could need for both RV and tent campers. Can't w ago wait till we visit again.

This KOA location was easy to get to, staff were helpful. Campsites by the river were WET - flooding has been an issue with such a rainy summer. However, we were happy in our hammocks! Bathrooms were clean and not crowded. Many fun things for kids to do.

We had friends who were able to camp the same time as us at the last minute. The staff was able to get us neighboring sites and that extra effort did not go unnoticed. Thank you for making a memorable trip, we will be back again.

Your hospitality was wonderful. Loved the Sat. nite music and ice cream. The dog run was great. But most importantly, appreciated the cleanliness of the whole camp. One item to suggest: a bathroom down by the sites on the river. The walk up the steep hill, esp. for older people, is too much!

It was very nice, quiet and clean. The pool was great. And the bathrooms were very clean.

Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Kids had fun. Beautiful location right bu river - fished from tentsite. issue was with camper noise until 2.30am which was not controlled or stopped. Will try campsite again as everyone deserves a second chance !! Hope it is a far better sleeping experience :-)

We were in a tent site on the river's edge. This campground was run pretty well. Bathroom/Shower facilities were very clean and the staff was attentive. Only real draw back was that the tent sites are at the bottom of a fairly steep hill and all the bathroom facilities are at the top. I think having Port-a-Potties down on the lower level would have been beneficial. Overall a good experience.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

KOA does not allow Port-o-potties.

They welcomed us, showed us to our site, offered us other sites since ours were very muddy after a rain storm, and were very hospitable. The bathrooms were clean and the entire campground was well maintained and kept us very nicely. Some campers even bought our fife and drum corps ice pops after we performed for them in the campground. Terrie Lamb, Director Nutmeg Fife & Drum Groton, CT

The owner and his staff went out of their way to help us. It had rained a lot prior to us arriving and rain was expected again that night. He voluntarily upgraded our stay for three nights (free of charge!) from a river front no water or electric site to a cabin with beds and AC and during the 4th of July holiday! Awesome place!

Staff was very friendly and helpful! The river (tenting) area was beautiful! Our site was great, more secluded and even prettier than the rest of the sites so we didn't mind the steep climb to get there. Bathrooms were clean, bug-free and without the porta potty smell! Loved them! Lots of fun activities going on for 4th of July weekend. We had a wonderful time! We will definitely be back!

It was hot.

what a nice park, customer service was wonderful, with a scenic drive into the park and nice eateries nearby, it was a pleasent stay. I only had 1 issue, I drive a motorcycle and the blacktop roads inside the park, are not motorcycle friendly.

We always love coming to the KOA - West Chester Campgrounds. Are kids always ask when are we returning. The campgrounds are perfect for family friendly fun. The staff is courteous and helpful. Its an oasis away from the routine of everyday life. Thanks!!!

clean and fun!

I was disappointed. Tent sites are not built-up pads ~ I slept on wet grass. Also, this site was much more expensive relative to all other KOAs I have stayed at this summer (by more than $10.00). For what this camp had, it was not worth the extra price.

had a great stay in the 'rustic' area with no water or power. Only complain was noisy rude neighbors, but hey, that's camping!

Our Girl Scout troop loved this campground. It had lots of activities the girls enjoyed that are part of the campground and ones that were special activities that were daily.

Clean, well maintained and extremely kid-friendly. Our 3 boys absolutely loved the gem mine. Our first time here and we will definitely be back!

This is a wonderful family location, but if you camp by the river and have someone who needs to go to the bathroom often, bring your own toilet because you have to walk up a very steep hill to get to the closest one. Also, their dog policy is strict and they actually drive around in golf-carts to "check-up" on the campers at their sites. We called them the "fun police". ;)It was weird...
Jun 24, 2013
Campground was very clean and there was a lot to do, kids were never bored. The camp sites were not very private, but we did not mind this time the kids made friends and were able to play with our neighbors. We had a wonderful and simple stay, and will definitely go back with friends. For a more intimate experience we will go somewhere else.

We have been coming to your campground for 8 years now, and we usually bring a bunch of people with us. We were glad you moved our site to higher ground, because of all the rain. This was our first time coming in June, and we were able to use your pool. We had a wonderful time. Thank you, Cindy Aicher

Great stay, friendly staff, clean facilities and my family had a wonderful time!
May 28, 2013
While there isn't much seclusion offered at this fairly dense campground, the convenient access to the river and very well maintained facilities make up for it. Quiet hours were fairly well followed by the campers and everyone was extremely friendly. The major downside is the firewood sold at the camp store is not fully dried and is cut too long to fit in the fire rings.
May 28, 2013
Myself and my family really enjoyed our stay at your campground. We found it to be very well organized, clean and everyone was very nice. We will definitely return for our next camping trip. thank you

We had a great time. We loved being able to pitch our tent right next to the Brandywine. The folks were very friendly and helpful. The shower and bathroom facilities were extremely clean.

This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds I've ever stayed. The bathrooms are spotless and the personnel are very helpful and friendly. The only improvement would be better control over hot/cold water in the bathrooms. I bring a number of people along with me and when men and women are in their respective showers, the volume and temperature of the water varies considerable.
